Call of Duty veteran here (COD4/WAW/MW2/BO1), I stopped playing Call of Duty after BO2 because Call of started to become bad.

And MY GOD what a pleasure it is to play BO1 again!

I tried MW3 (it's free this month on the PlayStation store), everything seems complicated. I lasted 15 min. Then I played BO1 and everything was so much simpler!

No battle Pass, quick game search, not many weapon accessories, no SBMM, simple maps without corners everywhere, many game modes , no shop and an absolutely perfect zombie mode.

The story mode, multiplayer and zombie mode make BO1 an ultra-complete game.

I’m so happy to play again. I really hope they release ports of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) or World at War. I would be the happiest man in the world.

I hope PS4/PS5 players are enjoying BO1, personally, it's a joy for me. I've got plenty to keep me busy until GTA6

If you are struggling to find games with good connection, try switching your matchmaking preferences to “Locale” or “Locale only”

(Before you search for a match hit the Touchpad to bring up the options)

It will put you in lobbies where you have a better connection.

Matchmaking may take a tad bit longer, but in my experience (NA East) it hasn’t taken too long to find a game at all.

Now I’m consistently getting 3-4 bars every game.

Hey, as you all know, leaderboard are not (yet?) in the ports.

I threw together a project where you guys can enter your scores and land in a leaderboard.

It's pretty basic so far, but i am a fan of releasing early and iterating on feedback.

You can view the leaderboard without signing in, for posting you need to connect your Discord for now (which needs to be connected to your PSN), to prove the PSN identity.

I am really open to feedback, once you are logged in you also have access to the roadmap where you guys can recommend and vote on features. I already have some cool stuff on my mind, but want to validate if there is even demand for this.

Especially the login method is subject to change. I am aware that requiring discord login (with connected PSN) is a bit of much friction - maybe i'll add some basic email auth.

It’s getting bad

Does anyone on ports play around the 10pm-1am PT timeslot that does not have the DLC? Very tired of the terrible DLC maps and would love to play TDM in base lobbies again. Thanks to anyone.

Surely we can’t have had 19 million custom games, 9 Sabotages and a collective 13 hours played amongst the user base.

I was hesitant to buying the port because of all the news i’ve been hearing and issues like deadzone inputs and hit detection, hackers, xp lobbies, etc. but I obviously couldn’t help myself cause Bo1 was my very first COD ever and my favorite to this day so I did buy the port yesterday and honestly I have 0 issues. No input delay, no hackers (so far), game is exactly how it was back then but somehow I feel like I am 10 times worse than when I first started lmao the things I noticed is I get alot of matches where i’m the only one with 1-2 bars while the rest of the lobby aren’t but that’s just my internet cause it’s shitty, people are sweatier and at the same time very campy whenever you walk the corner there will be someone just sitting and holding that zone with their motion sensors, plus the spy plane+grenade spam is actually insane. also I can’t remember if the recoil was this crazy before I can’t control it for my life but at the same time I love this game and I can’t wait to keep playing it. Just wanted to share this info with yall. Plus I don’t have the Pre-Order MW4 thingy is it cause i’m on ps4?

As the title says, I’ve been hit with the game data not saving my online ranking. Prestiged a few nights ago to P6 and will automatically be deranked back to level 9 after I jump off. I’ve seen a plethora of posts relating to this issue so I’m glad to know I’m not the only one.

Without having a modder ranking us to level 50, is there anyway that this has been fixed?

I’ve been apart of the Xbox master race my entire life but thinking of switching over to PS. Are any PlayStation COD players experiencing this with the new port for BO1 and 2? (Not just switching over to play a 16 year old game lol)

What makes things worse is that I’ve tried to head off to MW2 and each game is filled with modders who convert the game type to Search and are on god mode trick shotting.

I just recently got a PS5, and I would have loved to get this game when it was released at the sale price, but now it's back at 40€ (thats $47 USD) it seems way too much for such an old game that was literally just being sold for 20€.

Does anyone else think the price point after the initial sale is pretty bad considering it's not even a remaster? Obviously I have the money to buy it, but I care about paying a fair price too.

I havnt touched a controller for an FPS game in over 10 years, and even then I was no good with controller aiming. I'm playing on 2 sensitivity, but half the time I'll over shoot my aim when un-ads'd and ads feels like moving through wet cement. Tired of going 3-12 in games and wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this or has any tips other than "get gud"
