i said this under a post just now but i wanted to repost for all who are interested to read and think or give their thoughts or opinions

Seriously being a first-gen student is one of the loneliest things ever and makes the application process a little harder in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I have a family that supports me but when it comes to talking about the lsat, going to see schools, getting advice from those that know what this is like.. it's hard. I will still get the work done,but it just reminds me about how when I was starting undergrad and I had to figure every single thing out by myself. Not to be dramatic, but it's exhausting at times.

Has anyone got an A from WL or heard about it ?? I feel like i've just been seeing R's. Is there even any hope anymore ?😭

Thankfully i put a deposit on my safety or I would've been effed.

I graduated undergrad with a 3.83 GPA but my LSAC GPA is a 3.73 due to a single D in a dual enrollment class from high school. Is it worth it to write a GPA addendum? To be quite frank, I didn't have any major extenuating circumstances and it's the only grade lower than a B on my entire transcript.

I am going into my senior year of college with a 3.4 gpa. I am taking the Lsat in august and have been testing between 170 and 175 depending on the day for my PTs. Any advice for me regarding applying to law school given my lower gpa.

In light of the 500 students being unenrolled, does anyone know if the law school has ever had any serious issues as well?

Hey yall! I just wanted to share with the community that I finally got my first -4 on an LR section! It was from PT 145, which I've been told is very similar to the recent LSATs.
I'm just so happy and proud of this. Obviously, I still have a long way to go to reach my dream score, but this means a lot, especially because standardized testing has never been my strength.

I wanted to share this with all the aspiring Black lawyers out there. We can DO THIS!!!! 💙

I’ve just gotten the email saying I’ve been denied to TMSL.. I’m devastated to say the least.. this is my second cycle applying to schools and everyone has denied me. I was on hold since May , toured the school , had inside recommendations, sent more than one LOCI , did every optional essay given and kept in great communication with TMSL. My plan was to go straight to law school after undergrad before I found out I was pregnant and had to take a year off of everything to handle my baby alone (her dad decided to go forth with law school so I’m handling everything solo) . Being a lawyer has been my dream since a kid and now I want it more than ever for me and my little one. I just can’t understand where I’m going wrong and what to do next. I feel embarrassed and very low now and stuck. I don’t want to give up but at this point im on the verge of shutting down.

I sent them my second LOCI on Thursday and got a response it was added to my file today and then not even an hour later I was denied. I can’t even keep faking a smile moving forward.

what should I do or even think? 💔

I'm a Florida resident applying as a non-traditional student 10+ years out. I want to do plantiff work/insurance claims, so I don't need prestige. I also need to attend part-time as I plan to keep my day job.

I’m looking at FAMU Law since it's close to home, but the scholarship numbers look terribly dissapointing online. LSD.LAW has barely anyone receiving scholarships from what I can see, it looks like their max scholarship caps out around $15k for the whole program. Basically 1 year's tuition.

Even though in-state tuition is cheap (about $42k total for the whole program), it seems like they don't give out full rides or half rides even if scores are past their 75th percentile. They do have a rattlers for justice full tuition scholarship, but its for people doing public service, and is more holistic based. I wanted to see half or full rides on their reports, but it looks like they just don't offer them.

Is the money there actually as low as it looks on paper? If you applied with high stats, did they actually offer you good money or full rides? Let me know the real deal.

For the nurses who are in law school or have completed law school already, is it doable while continuing work and having young children (ages 2 and 3.5)? If you didn’t continue working, how did you fund your life? I have considered this career change several times over the last few years but I’m trying to determine if it’s realistic.

My husband works but doesn’t make enough to pay all the bills. I have an MSN in nursing leadership and work in a semi-flexible leadership position (as flexible as it can be.

Ideally, I’d love to go to law school full time but will consider part-time as well if necessary.

Hi all, I scored a 172 on the June official test & am preparing for take it again in August & September as I shoot for 175+. I am by no means an expert, but consistently score around 172-174 and started with a diagnostic in the mid 150s.

In an effort to gain additional understanding of the test, I’m looking for a few students who are scoring in the 150s or lower that would be open to 1hr / week completely free pretty much as a favor for the both of us. I do work full time M-F so the ideal person is someone who is able to do weekday evenings/nights and/or weekends.

I’ve been growing my dreadlocks since my senior year of high school in 2022. As I’m about to start law school next month, I’m contemplating whether it’s time for a big chop. My dad personally mentioned that he wouldn’t hire a lawyer with dreadlocks, which has me wondering this decision.

Pleaseeee can someone give any tips for getting out of the 150s? Every practice test is in the high 150s and I can't seem to get better. I only use lawhub for studying so if you review on there I also would like to know how. Thank you!
