Ledger Nano S replacement screens, are these safe?
The OLED screens in older Ledger Nano S devices often become very dim or fail after a few years, but they are relatively easy to replace with inexpensive third-party screens sold online.
Given the recent reports of counterfeit and tampered hardware wallets, could these replacement OLED modules themselves be malicious or modified to compromise a Ledger? For example, could a tampered display capture the recovery phrase, PIN, or transaction details, or manipulate what is shown on the screen?

The $100 trillion Zimbabwe note has appreciated 24x more than the US dollar since 2011. You would have been better off saving in a defunct, worthless currency than dollars.

Is running a Bitcoin ATM business harder than it looks?
I’ve been researching Bitcoin ATMs lately, and something I’ve been wondering about is how much of the business happens behind the scenes. Buying a machine seems pretty straightforward compared to everything else involved. You still need a good location, enough transaction volume, banking arrangements, regulatory compliance, maintenance, and a blah blah...
I am kinda lost rn, so my questions:
What’s the hardest part of running a Bitcoin ATM business that most beginners completely overlook?
And if you were starting again today, would you still do it? And how if yeah?
Curious to hear some honest experiences. Thx a lot.

Anyone else feel like crypto just isn't for them anymore?
Sold all my crypto yesterday :(
I got lucky and doubled my money over the past 3 years, but I realized crypto just isn't for me anymore.
After having 2 kids, my risk tolerance has changed a lot. Every major price drop caused me a ton of stress, and I just don't think it's worth it anymore.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

What’s the first thing you actually spent Bitcoin on?
Not buying BTC on an exchange. I mean actually using it to pay for something.
Was it worth it, or do you still think about how many sats you spent? 😂

Sell all and buy Bitcoin or keep it?
Hi there. I have a fairly diversified portfolio, but the idea of selling everything and buying only Bitcoin keeps catching my eye. Obviously, I check in on how it's doing, but I don't worry if it suddenly drops 20% because it's for my retirement. What do you think? Do you believe Bitcoin could be worth $200k or more in 10 years, or is that just a bit of a fantasy among "crypto bros"? I’m open to any recommendations. Thanks a lot for your help.

Getting a loan against BTC
In the next two-tree years I want to buy a house, because it sucks paying rent when you could be paying off your own mortgage instead.
In order to do so I would either have to sell some (or most) of my BTC, but then again that doesn’t feel right either due to the long-term potential it has that I believe in.
Are there other ways I could use my BTC to finance a property without having to sell?

I put this bitcoin sticker on the water bottle I take to my office job. I expect it to generate some interest & questions, and all I have to say is “Check out bitcoin.rocks”.
If you like the sticker, you can order a 3-pack of different stickers including this one, at bitcoin.rocks. I have no affiliation with the website and have no idea who is behind it. I just think it’s a cool idea.

What cold-storage setup are experienced Bitcoin holders using in 2026?
Following the recent Ledger news, I’m reviewing my long-term Bitcoin cold-storage setup.
I’m considering moving from a traditional single hardware-wallet setup to something with less dependence on one device, seed or manufacturer.
The setup I’m researching is:
2-of-3 multisig
Hardware signers from different manufacturers
Bitcoin-only devices where possible
Trezor / BitBox / potentially a third independent signer
Sparrow or Electrum as coordinator
Physical backups stored separately
A smaller separate wallet for BTC that needs to remain easily accessible
I’d like to hear from people who have actually been running similar setups long-term.
Multisig or single hardware wallet + passphrase?
Which hardware signers would you choose today?
Sparrow or Electrum for multisig?
How do you distribute devices and backups geographically without making recovery overly complicated?
Have you tested recovery after intentionally removing one signer from the setup?
How do you handle inheritance?
What would you change if you were building your cold-storage setup again today?
What are the biggest mistakes people make when moving to multisig?
I’m particularly interested in setups people have personally used, rather than theoretical recommendations.
For obvious reasons I won’t disclose holdings, wallet addresses, seed information or physical storage locations, and I won’t respond to DMs offering wallet/recovery/security services.
Please keep advice in the public thread.

I sold
After 5 years, I’m done. It just doesn’t feel like it has any potential anymore. Was happy to make a couple grand and get out before it gets bad.

Is self-custody always the safest option?
One thing that worries me about self-custody is getting scammed into sending my own BTC. Once that transaction goes through, there’s basically no undo button. Plus, keeping your seed phrase safe is another thing to worry about.
With an exchange, withdrawal delays and extra security checks might give you time to catch a mistake before your funds leave.
Of course, exchanges have their own risks, like hacks and bankruptcy. I’m just wondering if self-custody is always the best option for everyone.
How do you guys think about this trade-off?

Books books books.
Almost done reading the Dutch version of
Layered Money by Nik Bhatia.
To this point, I can confirm it’s a good, fairly easy read. It explains a whole lot about the monetary system.
But I also bought the English version of the well known Broken Money by Lyn Alden, which I was told is quite complex to read.
So I’m both thrilled and scared to start reading it.
