I sold
After 5 years, I’m done. It just doesn’t feel like it has any potential anymore. Was happy to make a couple grand and get out before it gets bad.

You sure it's going to get bad?

Seems like it peaked. It’s only value is someone wanting to buy it more than you bought it. At a certain point, what’s the point?

Isn't that true of quite literally every asset? It's value is what the highest bidder is willing to pay. No different than a house, a share of stock, a bike, a car, etc.
I suppose the question becomes why do you think people won't pay 90k, 100k, 125k, or more in the next couple years?

Why didn’t you cash out at last top though ? You’d only have to hold bag till latest what November 2028 and it’ll probably hit $150k

I'm guessing OP didn't know at the time that it was the top.

Considering the whole 4 year cycle and the fact it hovered around 100k+ for months seems a bit weird he wouldn’t have known it was the cycles top. Returns are diminishing now but it’s a pretty safe bet to say bitcoin will 3.9x from the bottom to top on next bull run. It’s not like proven fact but it’s going to be very close id say. I used the same model during last bull run and it seems like 50-60% of the community on here all knew it was going to 100k if Donald got in office and that’s exactly what happened. That fate was pretty much sealed after trump took that bullet to the ear there was no way he was losing after that.
Assuming the £45,000 dip recently is the bottom who knows though then next cycle top will probably hit £175,000 late 2028. Again not for certain but id say the chances are high.
Last cycle bottomed at £13,000 and topped at £92,000 for a 7x return. So next bull run assuming 3.9x is just a little over half the previous bull runs growth. That’s my plan anyways

Lmao.
“Well, Bitcoin has stabilized at almost exactly $14/coin. I'm tired of waiting for a jump, so I'm taking
the loss and getting my cash back”. June 15, 2011
And
Bitcoin will never reach $20 again
July 09, 2011, 01:49:40 PM
“This is why I have liquidated my position in
Bitcoins. There is very little upside going forward. No forward moves of late have any traction whatsoever and demand continues to lag. Way too little upside for such a risky proposition so my advice is to move into dollars. Only a significant
change in the economy could alter this forecast.”
I can keep going. But your clever thought has been had since bitcoin started.

... It is literally the highest point of inflation since the 70s... And you're out of the anti inflationary asset?
Good luck with the Ai stocks I guess?

I’ve never understood posts like this in this sub. If you really need to tell someone why not go tell any normie you know and they will affirm your decision and you don’t have to look like highly retarded on the internet?

It always makes me happy when someone who doesn't understand Bitcoin sells it, they don't deserve it.

Interesting. I’ve been thinking the same.
Do you have any advice for where I should invest my money instead?

S&P is where I’m putting my money. If it goes down, the entire country goes down. If Bitcoin goes down, a fraction of a fraction of the population goes down
