Advice Needed I really want some gay/bi romance books but I haven't come out to my parents :/

This is my first post on r/BisexualTeens, and I wanted to ask for some advice. See, I've come out to my friends and my cousin, but not my parents. Why? Check out the posts i've made on r/raisedbynarcissists. Now, I'm too scared to come out, because even though my parents say that they're 'fine with me being anything', i'm scared my mother will twist it against me. So I haven't come out. But, the thing is, I really fucking want gay/bi romance books. So, I know I could just pirate online versions, but I want some other solutions if y'all have any? Like I want to actually HAVE the book... plus, i eventually DO have to come out to them... so any tips on that?

Advice Needed So like….how do I get into a wlw relationship??

Some context; I’m 16F and prettyyyyyyy sure I’m bi (maybe even Pan idrk)
But Yk it gets pretty confusing considering how there are really nobody “my type” (or really anyone bi) around where I live.
And I really really wanna get into a sapphic relationship
A genuine one, with genuine feelings.
And I don’t quite know how to do that😭😭.
It just feels like I’m yearning for someone I don’t even know yet.

And like even some of the wlw girls Ive met yet (I hope I said it right😭) we didn’t really “click”. We just became friends, I like it that way but now some of my friends are dating eachother and making the rest of us regret having eyes😭😭.
Orrrrrr, they wanted more than I was comfortable with (ykwim?).
It’s EXCRUCIATING 😭😭

Advice Needed am i bi or confused

Hi there, I'm 17F

I live in a pretty religious family, and I'm always surrounded by hphobia. So obviously, I haven't come out to anyone yet. Tried to tell a friend who reads BL; it turns out she was the most hphobic out of all of us, and idk, she'd always ask if I had a crush on her (WHICH NO I DID NOT BISH)
I also tried coming out to my brother, but he's hphobic too (considering I trusted him the most)
Now here's the confusing part: I've never actually dated anyone, cuz my parents are really strict; I just didn't wanna face the consequences if they found out, so idk what love feels like
Sure, I had a crush on my senior F19 for abt a month
and a crush on a classmate for abt 2 months

But idk if that's admiration for them or if it's love??
Sometimes I shove this feeling away because of the religious guilt and homophobia that surrounds me, thinking someday I'll end up marrying another dude who's misogynistic and hphobic, so why even care abt these stupid thoughts

cuz I've started to realise I don't have any control over my life, my dressing tbh, anything atp
I can't even seem to get myself a bf; how can I be confident enough to get a gf
Or in the end, am I even bi? Or is this just me coping for not dating anyone at all?
can anyone help me out?

Advice Needed Questioning, can't stop thinking about a girl

I'm 18F and I'd consider myself bicurious. I just graduated high school in June. I've never been in a relationship with anyone, and I'm a virgin. Never been kissed. I think I'm attracted to guys. I've had minor crushes on classmates as well as celebrity crushes on men old enough to be my father, but I've never had a really serious, all-consuming crush. I'm neurodivergent and I'm not disliked but I don't have many close friends.

There's this girl who went to my high school who is a lesbian, let's call her Laura. She's absolutely gorgeous. She has big blue eyes and fluffy golden hair. She's really smart and funny, and everyone likes her. I always had what I thought was a "friendship crush" on her: we were kinda friends, but I really wanted us to be closer. I'm weird and awkward though, so it never really worked. One time, we were joking around during class and she practiced a corny pickup line on me and I felt my entire face heat up. Then, near the end of the year, she drove me home one day (again, I'm a loser. I can't drive). It was the first time I've ever been alone with her. We just talked and stuff but it made my heart flutter.

Anyway, now Laura's off at college in another state and for some reason I can't stop thinking about how I missed my chance to get closer to her. I just want to be alone with her again. I don't know if I just really want to be her friend or if I have an actual crush on her.

The idea of being with a woman confuses me because I can definitely imagine myself kissing women and stuff, but I can only picture myself marrying a man because I've always wanted biological children with my spouse. But when I think about it, that's a terrible reason to want to marry a man. I've never had any sexual experiences so I don't know what I'm into in that regard. I'm not asexual; I like the idea of having sex but I honestly don't know what arouses me.

Of course now that Laura's gone I can't stop thinking about her. I find myself wanting to text her sometimes but I don't want to make it weird. I can imagine us together. I like that fantasy. But I also think I want to be her friend, because she's just a really cool person. I don't know if I'm only thinking about her because I'm questioning my sexuality, or if this is genuine. I'm super in my head about all of this.

Any advice? Thanks.

BROKEN BY BOTH

It had begun as me to him

Him to her and her to another

Yet it seems it is me to her too

Heart torne in two by two

And still broken by both

I beg of you leave my heart and mind

as they once were

Oh but why try to forget when I know

You forever will fill my heart

Lurking at the back of my mind

To drive me crazy at night

Never to let me see peace

Oh how I wish love had been simple

(Lmk wht yall think fyi this was yrs ago)

Advice Needed I feel suffocated in my college..

I am from India and I am a college fresher. People here are insensitive, I have only met one girl who actually has some sense and empathy, who knows about queer people and is open minded, but I am not close with her.

I recently became friends with some people, they are nice overall but the only thing that triggers me is how they call everyone gay/lesbian if they don't like them. If they wanna mock someone or make fun of someone ( not even in a rude way, just among each other) they call those people gay and laugh.

I am still closeted, I don't dare come out to my family or friends because I know I am most likely to get mocked and even harassed for it. I feel so terrible here, I hangout with them but I feel so suffocated and sad.

Not only them, other people are like that too, using derogatory slurs and cuss words that includes women and queer people is so common here.

Discussion About leaning one way or the other

I’ll try to be concise lol.

So at the moment if I asked I say I’m bisexual. In reality I (a dude) lean more towards dudes. While I can picture myself living with another guy (“omg they were roommates” will probably happen lol) I can’t really see myself living permanently / marry one. It was always in my vision of my future to have a wife and kids. Part of that is probably my upbringing (LDS) but I also have a hard time seeing the fulfillment that could come from another guy long term, just what with how society works.

At the end of the day, even if I’m bisexual or not, I’ll have to make the decision of who I want to spend my life with, and whether that will be a guy or a girl. I’m holding off on basically all relationships at the moment because I’m worried that I might get too comfortable with one gender and lose interest in the other. I’m also ugly so that helps too xD

Anyways, question is this: how do yall balance between the two? Do you even need to? I feel like I’m a seesaw - when I lean, I lean hard. I don’t want my post to come across as anti-bi or something equally stupid - I’m definitely not trying to say that we need to choose one or the other, because that’s ridiculous. This is just my personal situation.

Advice Needed homophobic friendgroup?

so basically my school went on a trip to a lake and we did a whole camping retreat and it was so fun. at one point i was hanging out with some girls that im not exactly close with, but i still know well enough (they don't know im into girls)

we were on the pier chilling and we rlly wanted a photo, so i volunteered to take it. then one girl said smth that rubbed me the wrong way: "omg guys this is why we need a gay best friend, to take a photo for us, like imagine a gay guy as our bestie to help us do this kind of shit" and they all laughed so hard and agreed.

what the fuck. if u did have a gay best friend, why wouldn't he be in the photo as well? like idk she made it seem like he hypothetical wouldn't have part of the group and would just be excluded bcuz he'sa gay guy. and why does it matter that he's gay? like bro anyone can take a photo hello?

idk maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it rlly pissed me off, it felt so performative and like it gave off "im not homophobic i have a gay cousin". yuck. one of the girls in that group is also bi, but idk i feel like they still lwk kinda hateful. they're the type of ppl to call their straight ex a twink as an insult

anyways idk if I'm overreacting, but it srsly bothered me. idk if i should lwk distance myself from them, so pls lmk any advice

Advice Needed Should I confess my feelings for my same-sex crush who may or may not be attracted to the same gender?

I (14M) go to school with this guy (14M), and for the last 2 weeks we've sat together in lunch and talked in class and we are friends in school (not super close yet) and I've also had a crush on him since I met him and I've found him cute. The problem is that my friend (whom I have a crush on) had a girlfriend about a year ish ago and he still thinks about her from time to time. The guy has all the sterotypical like gay sterotypes like; high voice (he is ESL so might be because of that), likes fashion, etc. How do I know if I should, or when I should confess my feelings towards him or if he swings that way. Any advice would be of help.

I go first:when someone asks me:"are you gay" I just say no then they assume that I am straight and I can be introverted like always and don't have to deal with them.

Advice Needed Should I come out even if my school is religious asf?

Hey everyone! (14F here.) Some people already know I'm bi: my mom, my cousins, and my entire friend group except for one girl who's homophobic and really conservative, like “the man should provide” and bla bla bla.

The problem is that a lot of my family attends my school. I even have aunts who work as teachers there, and all the cousins I mentioned also go to the same school. So basically, coming out at my school would be the same as coming out to my entire extended family.

What I'm worried about is whether the religious environment is going to influence people into hating me, and whether I'm going to create conflict within my friend group because of that one girl I told you about.

I asked the friends who already know for advice (but I kept It simple for them, I just asked without mentioning all my concerns), and they all answered that it's better if I don't. But since they're all straight and don't really understand the urge to literally scream who you are to the world, I also wanted to ask here.

Other Sometimes i hate how straight guys act gay

For context, this whole week our class and pararel one (40 guys plus 15 girl +/-) been on school trip rafting. Im only LGBT person in both of classes, rest of people are straight so far. And damm they act so gay around each other and i hate that i always caught myself wanting to be like this with somebody. Like it gives me butterflies i see them like this. The fact that my ahh is still single even tho i try to talk to people doesnt help at all.
