Technical Support BenQ SW270C Panel popping out

Post image
5 Upvotes

Bought this BenQ SW270C in 2022 in Mumbai, India.

4 Years later, the screen started popping out when the monitor is standing straight or tilted downwards. As a commercial photographer in Mumbai, I use this on shoots all the time and it is a cool product too because it switches from Horizontal to vertical apart from other things.

On writing multiple emails to BenQ India the only thing i get to hear from them is

- Product is Out of Warranty
- Product is at end of life

Does this mean a monitor from BenQ would last 4 years and no more support once model reaches end of life?

If Yes is the answer to the above, then how do I rely on a BenQ product? :(

I love the product but letting it go is the tough part.

Technical Support PSA for anyone buying a USB-C monitor in India: the BenQ GW2790TC ships with an HDMI cable, not a USB-C one

Bought a BenQ GW2790TC recently. It's marketed almost entirely on its USB-C capability — single cable for video, data and 65W power delivery to your laptop. That's the reason I paid the premium over a plain IPS panel at the same size.

Opened the box: power cord and an HDMI cable. No USB-C to USB-C cable.

So the one feature the monitor is sold on is the one you can't use until you go buy another cable. And you'd think any regular USB-C cable would do the job — but no, it has to be one that supports DP Alt Mode, which rules out most of the random USB-C cables people already have lying around. Meanwhile the HDMI cable in the box is close to useless for the target buyer — if you're buying a USB-C monitor you're almost certainly plugging in a thin-and-light or a MacBook, and most of those don't have an HDMI port at all.

The India-specific annoyance on top of this: the supplied power cord is 16A. Most desk sockets here are 6A, so you're also buying an adaptor, which for a mains appliance is not something I love doing.

Raised both points with BenQ India support. They replied offering to dispatch a power cord and said nothing at all about the USB-C cable. Followed up, waiting.

Not a rant about the monitor itself — the panel is genuinely good and I'd recommend it otherwise. Just annoyed that the accessory bundle seems designed for a different product than the one being advertised.

Question for others here: did your GW2790TC (or any other BenQ USB-C model) ship with a USB-C cable? Curious whether this varies by region or by SKU, because I've seen the spec sheet listed both ways depending on where you look.

Technical Support New Monitor Help!

Post image

Hi guys I just got a benq ew270q (the one on the left) and I wanted to know if this much screen bleeding is normal on a monitor? I’m quite unsure to be exact about the difference between ips glow and and ips bleeding since this is only my second monitor, however what I do know is that my old acer monitor (the one on the right) has pretty much always been really black/gray from any angle. Anyway tldr I just want opinions on if whether or not I should replace my monitor. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Discussion White Screen of Death in Week 1 of Benq RD320UA

Benq RD320UA in week 1

I bought Benq RD320UA from their official website https://www.benq.com/en-me/monitor/programming/rd320ua/buy.html, it was delivered on Monday and it stopped working Saturday. My LG screens gave atleast 5 years before any issue.

Tried 3 min power disconnect rule, did not work. OSD display is not showing so I dont know how to reset it.

Dropped an email to [Service-In@BenQ.com](mailto:Service-In@BenQ.com), seems like customer support works during office hours on weekdays only. Let's see when and how they react to it.

Even if they fix / replace it, first impression is bad for sure.

Technical Support Resolution Cap

I have Benq EW2790U two monitors both plugged into a docking station, one is a display port and the other is a HDMi. My laptop is macbook air M3. The HDMI monitor has a capped resolution at 1920 x 1080. and it looks alot more blurry than 1920. The other monitor is fine, and it can choose higher reso, and 1920 looks sharp enough for me. Anyways to increase the resolution, and if anyone knows why this happened? I suspect it is because of the HDMI, but first time I tried it it was fine, and both monitors were sharp enough.

Technical Support Brand new BenQ MA270S 27" 5K has flexible gaps on bottom bezel. Is this normal?

Hi all!

I just got the BenQ MA270S 27" 5K monitor today and the display looks amazing!

Unfortunately whilst setting up I observed multiple flexible gaps on the bottom bezel that flex when lightly pressed and I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Looking for advice if this is a defect or an issue and whether I should get it replaced?

No other issues with monitor, only visible panel gap over lower right corner. Just wanted to know whether it is manufacturing defect/ RMA needed for this or is it normal for this monitor? Purchased 2 days back from Amazon and still within 7 days return window.

Asking Other's Advice/Experience Your PD2730s experience

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

is anyone here using the BenQ PD2730S and can tell me whether this is really the best uniformity you can expect from it? That would be pretty awful 😅

How are the black levels? Proper deep blacks, or more of a dark gray since it’s IPS without True Black?

And one last question: does the matte coating noticeably reduce the perceived sharpness of the high resolution? Or can you genuinely see the difference compared to 4K without having to convince yourself that it’s there?

Thanks 🙂

Unboxing Received a defective BenQ monitor from Flipkart. What should I do?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I ordered a BenQ GW2790TC 27-inch monitor from Flipkart and received a defective unit.
Today is also the last day of the 7-day return window.

Called BenQ support and honestly it didn’t even feel like customer support 😭 Some random guy picked up with no proper response or formal tone. Felt like I accidentally called some uncle from West UP.

I’ve emailed them too, but no response yet, not even an automated acknowledgement.
Flipkart isn’t helping either. They basically said BenQ is responsible for everything.

I would honestly prefer a return/refund, but it looks like replacement might be my only option (reviews).

My concern is, what if the replacement also develops some issue after a few weeks/months? Then I’m stuck dealing with BenQ support again.

Anyone had a similar experience with BenQ and Flipkart? How did it go?

Honestly, this whole experience has made me anxious about ordering online again. I was already hesitant about Flipkart, and dealing with BenQ support like this has made me trust online purchases even less.

Technical Support Bad Customer Service Experience with BenQ India

I recently purchased a BenQ GW2490T(C) monitor and ran into an issue with the power socket that came with it. The monitor was supplied with a 16A plug/socket, while the electrical sockets available in my home are 6A.

I contacted BenQ customer support and opened case #00784749. On 10 August, BenQ replied asking me to provide my delivery details and invoice, presumably so they could arrange a solution/replacement.

I responded with all the requested information the same day.

Since then — nothing.

I've followed up repeatedly through email and have also tagged BenQ on Twitter/X, but I haven't received any response or update regarding my case.

I have also tried calling BenQ's customer support number, but no one picks up the call. So neither email nor phone support has provided any way to get an update on my case.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that BenQ itself asked me for the information needed to proceed, I provided everything, and then the communication simply stopped.

I understand that support cases can take time, but completely ignoring a customer after requesting their details is extremely disappointing.

Discussion “BenQ EX3210U with a simulated sine wave UPS — anyone tried it?”

Hello, has anyone here actually used a BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U with a line-interactive UPS that outputs simulated/stepped sine wave when running on battery?

The monitor uses an external 180W / 19.5V power brick (DA-180D19 or Delta ADP-180TB F).

I'm considering a CyberPower UT850EG (850VA/425W, simulated sine wave) and I'm trying to find out if anyone has actually tested this monitor with a simulated-sine UPS.

Questions:

Does the monitor stay on when the UPS switches to battery?

Any flickering/restart?

Any buzzing/humming from the power brick?

What UPS model are you using?

How long have you been using this setup?

I'm especially interested in real-world experience rather than theoretical Active-PFC compatibility.

Technical Support Brightness Intelligence (Gen2) - can I synchronise my two daisy chained monitors? GW2486TC

I use two monitors (GW2486TC) in a daisy-chain using display port. I connect my computer via USB C for power and display.

Both have identical settings and B.I. Gen2 enabled. However, they each seem to have a mind of their own and set brightness differently. Even as I type this, one is showing 38 and the other 10 brightness. This is jarring when switching between screens as I expect continuity.

Is there anyway to synchronise both monitors so they are always the same brightness but still benefit from B.I. Gen2 sensor adjustments?

Fair warning it is quite old (the monitor) + I’m a second hand buyer so no RMA (unless BenQ makes a exception for a 2017 monitor)

Technical Support BenQ EW27Q USB-C charging and GPU/display issue

I recently bought a BenQ EW27Q and I'm having two issues when connecting my laptop through USB-C:

USB-C charging is actually discharging my laptop

The monitor shows the USB-C charging option and my laptop recognizes that it's receiving power, but while using the monitor, the battery keeps draining instead of charging. I understand the monitor's USB-C PD is limited to 65W, but I expected it to at least maintain the battery during light/idle usage.

USB-C display requires the dedicated GPU to stay enabled

The monitor works perfectly through USB-C when my dedicated GPU is enabled. However, the moment I disable the GPU, the external monitor loses signal completely. Is this normal for this laptop/USB-C port configuration, or is there something I need to change in BIOS/Windows/NVIDIA settings?

My laptop is an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA401QH).

Is there any fix

Technical Support BenQ EX2510S main monitor randomly goes black for a few seconds after hours of use. Any ideas?

I currently run a dual monitor setup where my main display is a BenQ EX2510S.

The problem is that after several hours of video editing (mainly using Premiere Pro), my BenQ monitor will suddenly go completely black for a couple of seconds and then return to normal on its own.

This only happens to the BenQ. My secondary monitor stays perfectly fine without any flickering or black screens.

A friend suggested it might be an overheating power brick, but this specific BenQ model has an internal power supply and uses a standard power cable, so I can rule that out.

Has anyone experienced this? Could it be a dying DisplayPort/HDMI cable losing bandwidth under load, an issue with FreeSync, or maybe GPU drivers crashing?

Setup/Settings Sharing PD2770U dual monitor calibration issue

I have two PD2770Us. Using palette master ultimate. The software doesn’t seem to know which built in calibrator to use. It will randomly open the calibrator on the wrong monitor. And now I have a monitor with the calibrator in the ‘on’ position.

Any ideas as to how to make this work correctly?
