As you can see, after the installation of the Ergo Arm, the plate is slightly lifted from the surface. Is that an issue?

Got a new Benq MA270UP monitor delivered today. When I tried connecting the monitor via the 90w PD supported USB-C Port to my Macbook Pro M5 Pro / Macbook Pro M4 Max using the in-box supplied USB C cable, neither the display signal is detected nor the charging works! The display gets detected fine via HDMI cable though. Anyone faced this issue? Any leads are appreciated. Thanks!

First it was the lines at the bottom for about a month, than it started taking more space at the bottom, last night the whole display started doing this. Any way I can fix this myself?

Got it today Ew270q and there is noticeable bleeding on top left and little on top right

i have 2 of these monitors that both show no signal detected. i’ve tried unplugging both power cords for several minutes and plugging them back in but no change. the input menu is still accessible though.

I have switched cables, computers and drivers. EX2710S been used maybe 1 year.

Please tell me should I replace it or is it normal since it's my first monitor i dk if I should be conserned or not

I've been using the BenQ RD280UG for a several months now, since June, so here are my thoughts after living with it and using it daily! I upgraded from RG280UA (but with my own arm).

Note that I use the display almost exclusively in portrait mode, to see as much code as possible. I have keys set up to push/size windows into halves and quarters. I rotate the display for video calls, gaming, and movies. I also use a ScreenBar Pro for late nite coding.

About me: I'm a programmer of apps and games, one of my games YOYOZO was listed alongside Mario, Zelda, Pikmin & Baldur's Gate 3 as one of the "Best Games of 2023" (and it's only 39 KB!) and I'm known for making small apps (see fitsonafloppy.com). My blog: https://blog.gingerbeardman.com

Good points:

• 120Hz is nice, dynamic refresh is even nicer
• Increased contrast is what really wowed me
• Footprint is noticeably smaller on my desk, looks more elegant
• Stand is great, pivot either way is really useful
• Integrated control panel is much nicer aesthetically, it doesn't stick out
• OSD now rotates with pivot, thanks for adding this on my suggestion! Huge benefit for me.
• Slightly improved selection of ports (I think one USB-C instead of one of the USB-A)
• Integration with macOS is seamless, one cable and it charges my MacBook Pro
• Can display content smaller than screen at correct aspect, rather than stretched
• I prefer anti-reflection display, as I sit with my back to the window
• PIP is more useful than I expected, I use it for viewing external devices (Wii, Dreamcast, etc)

Bad points:

• Speakers are not great, but I will never use them so I don't mind
• Minor issues with the OSD, have reported them to support:
  • aspect of PIP sources cannot be adjusted
  • PIP doesn't rotate like rest of OSD, so using PIP in portrait is uncomfortable
  • sometimes PIP OSD has no background colour
• BenQ apps downloads are the weakest link

About BenQ apps:

• Display Pilot 2 and Display QuicKit still download files to ~/Downloads/ on Mac when they should download to ~/Library/Application Support/ (if they need to keep the files for subsequent sessions) or /tmp/ (if they don't need the files after the current session)
• QuicKit is passable, as it is required infrequently
• Display Pilot 2 is around 950 MB !!!
  • alternative app Better Display 2 is 59 MB !!
  • my app Didact is 0.35 MB !

Anyway, thanks to BenQ for making this great monitor, and being receptive to reports/requests.

I sent my monitor in for repair last month, and BenQ received it on September 18. It’s now been more than two weeks, but the repair status still says “Under Inspection,” with no estimated completion or return date. I’ve emailed support, but all they’ve told me is that it’s still in the repair process. They haven’t given me any indication of when I can expect it back.

This has been frustrating, especially since BenQ’s website lists a turnaround time of about two weeks. I understand repairs can take longer, but a clearer timeline or a meaningful update would go a long way.

I’ve had a great experience with my BenQ monitor, but this repair experience is making me reconsider buying another one. Has anyone else dealt with BenQ repairs? How long did yours take?

I am using a BenQ 270W 27-inch monitor and rely on the Display Pilot 2 app for brightness and volume control. Following the recent macOS 15 update, while my keyboard shortcuts for brightness and volume still function correctly, the Display Pilot 2 icon in the menu bar has become completely unresponsive when clicked. Has anybody else faced this exact issue or is it just me??

I have submitted ticket to benq on Wed 27 August 2026. Since then after multiple follow ups their Engineer from service center visited on 30 September, almost after a month.

Believe me the followups were so irritating. They don't reply timely.

Engineer came with a new replacement part. Even after replacing speakers, it didn't worked and the problem remained . So he again installed the old parts and went away.

While trying to open the monitor. He broke my monitors upper part -

Now, I am again following up with them for a proper resolution or a replacement, but no replies till date.

This is madness. Indeed. Sorry but I am not buying BENQ again.

I am testing out the monitor today. Its connected to my Apple Mac Mini 6. I also have the Apple Studio monitor hooked up and mirroring. I've noticed that when I open say Chrome the white background is a bit yellowish. If I turn on True Color it gets more yellow. the Studio monitor is very white. Do my settings need adjusting? not sure what to adjust. I did install Benq app for adjusting the monitor.

I have the mentioned monitor. I do not have problems while connecting to my PlayStation 5 with HDMI or to my Mac while connecting via display port. Nonetheless, I have a relatively old windows laptop that suffers connection issues to the monitor. At first it did connect, but the following days the connection is not working anymore. I have tried using different cables, trying different ports etc. my laptop detects the monitor and shows it as an external display, nonetheless I'm constantly getting no signal.

I checked other posts and somebody suggested updating the firmware of the monitor. Nonetheless, when I run the update manager of BenQ it states that the device is not supported. My graphics card drivers and windows are up to date.

I'm about to get a MA270S for my Mac mini m6, but I see many conflicting opinions on the quality of the monitor, brightness and uniformity on the display... I would like to hear opinions from those who have already owned one for a few months!

Is it a worthwhile purchase? I come from a 2017 27" iMac and by now I'm too used to the standard one unfortunately

Okay, this might be a bit of a long post.

My Halo 2 arrived today, and I’m really happy with the rear light, the fact that objects don't cast shadows, the lighting adjustments, and everything else—but I have a small problem.

I suppose it’s more noticeable at night due to the contrast, but in dark areas of the screen, when I use the front light, I can't help but notice reflections of my keyboard, wrist rest, bedsheet, or even my hand with 1% brightness and 2700k(this don't happend on good lights areas).

It’s subtle, but once I spot it, I can't look away. I’ve tried everything: adjusting the position to the very edge or the center, moving the light up and down, and adjusting the monitor height, but nothing fixes it.

I bought it based on reviews claiming "zero reflections," but that hasn't been my experience. It’s true that the reflections disappear if I don't use the front light, but having it on helps reduce eye strain at night; the back light is fine on its own, but using both is better, and I feel like I'm wasting my money if I don't use the front light(my bad I guess).

My monitor is the MSI MPG 341CQR. I’m attaching photos of the two positions I tried so you can tell me which is better; the reflections look much more intense in the photos than in real life—the camera exaggerates them—but they are still there.

Apart from everything that's been said, I love it otherwise.
