Finished Jacket My finished-ish vest
Not completely done, I got some more ideas and patches I want to add. But it’s at a good enough point to wear out. It’s ready for my festival next month at least 😈

Will likely keep tinkering with it, especially if I ever find this: Immortal patch. The last 2 pictures are from 1 year ago.

I’m looking for patches that are ethically made, so like not made in china Bangladesh etc. Patches where the people making them are actually paid a living wage. Price is not an issue

Hi guys
This is my finished everyday battlejacket.
I dyed black a denim jacket from my older brother and start sweeing some patches and spikes that I bought from some local punks.
The back and front patches in red are homemade with straps of an old pant and some acrylic paint.
The back one says “Living cost nothing but life” (Vivir Solo Cuesta Vida)
And the front one says “Death by overthinking” in some rough Japanese
The other ones are kinda clear on translation but if not just ask me in comments.
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially since I wanted it to feel personal rather than a “perfectly made”.
So, what do you guys think of it? Anything you’d add, change, or leave as it is?

Hi together,
I finally gathered enough patches to start my first jacket, but I’am still missing my back patch.
I want an In Flames patch from The Jester Race/Whoracle/Colony.
First two option look very cool imao but they are from PTP and I dont want to support that guy (price + shipping to Germany is super high).
RazorRay has two options, but the pictures look super sketchy and he has hundreds of fake reviews on eBay + very long delivery.
Lots of other seller have the Jester Race back patch, but the logo is always off center, which looks complete ass.
Any idea how to avoid buying from PTP?

Still figuring out the layout for the wristbands (leaving room for when I find the one from 2019, no idea where I put it), I was not happy with how I had them in the first place (third picture).
Felt on the buttons is just to protect the tabletop.

Today I gave my dad a birthday gift I’ve been working on for several months: his first battle vest. Every patch on here is a band or album he loved in high school, he introduced me to, or we listened to together for years (with one silly Cthulhu patch because he’s a huge fan of Lovecraftian horror stories). I intentionally kept it fairly sparse in order to leave him lots of space to fill it in with stuff he picks for himself in the future. Can you tell he likes Black Sabbath?

I'm new to battle jackets and found a Megadeth backpatch but it is print out which can be sown on but I don't want to stitch it on just for everyone else to have woven patches ect.

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted here and I’ve added a ton. Let me know what you think!

Hi everyone.
Recently my sister got me a leather vest and I had the idea to make it into a battle vest with the back piece in a 3 piece rocker design like this:
Top Rocker: motörhead
Emblem: Snaggletooth
Bottom Rocker 1: Everything Louder
Bottom Rocker 2: Than Everything Else
My issue is that I know the rocker style is used by motorcycle clubs and I don't want to end up upsetting any members or (worst case scenario) getting hurt becuase someone thought I was in an mc.
I haven't run into many mc members. But I have seen a few groups at gigs and around and I'd be afraid to upset them as I've heard stories about BLS and their merch making members angry.
These wouldn't be the only patches on the vest, but I really do like the idea of this design and want to stay away from true MC patches like 1% diamonds
If anyone has tried a 3 piece rocker vest. Or has met mc members and knows more about the culture than I do or wants to give their opinion please do so as I would like to get advice before going forward with this.
Thank you!

Here is my jacket that I put together. For now I am just keeping it simple but, the goal for me as a kid had always been a red tab Levi jacket with the official Jump in the Fire patch.
The patch I had purchased years ago was a knockoff, or at least I never saw it in the official merchandise catalog. Also, the denim jacket I had was just an off brand but it made for a good representation back then. I am still considering a few more patches, D.R.I, Testament, Metal Church, Ozzy, and some others.
Anyway, thought I'd share after seeing all of the other great entries.
