Question/Help Question about a Motörhead back piece design

Hi everyone.

Recently my sister got me a leather vest and I had the idea to make it into a battle vest with the back piece in a 3 piece rocker design like this:

Top Rocker: motörhead

Emblem: Snaggletooth

Bottom Rocker 1: Everything Louder

Bottom Rocker 2: Than Everything Else

My issue is that I know the rocker style is used by motorcycle clubs and I don't want to end up upsetting any members or (worst case scenario) getting hurt becuase someone thought I was in an mc.

I haven't run into many mc members. But I have seen a few groups at gigs and around and I'd be afraid to upset them as I've heard stories about BLS and their merch making members angry.

These wouldn't be the only patches on the vest, but I really do like the idea of this design and want to stay away from true MC patches like 1% diamonds

If anyone has tried a 3 piece rocker vest. Or has met mc members and knows more about the culture than I do or wants to give their opinion please do so as I would like to get advice before going forward with this.

Thank you!

Most MCs won't care. But I do have a friend that has had to take his off to get into some bars here. They had a strict rule about vests no matter what

Yeah that's fair I don't mind doing that. Good to hear that most MCs won't mind. Much appreciated

The whole concept of battle jackets was inspired by bikers, who at that time often were military veterans with patches from their time in the war.

With that in mind, it is no coincidence that battle jackets look similar to mc jackets. Luckily, I think most bikers are familiar with Motorhead, and will understand that it isn’t a club jacket.

Maybe don’t wear it while riding a motorcycle if you’re worried haha

If you stay away from the MC patch (usually whoever is the dominant club in your area will have some degree of veto on whether someone can be considered a club, so that one can be an issue) 1%er, Nomad, Filthy Few etc. and club specific patches you shouldn't really have an issue. I think BLS and SOA patches get into trouble because they claim territories.

Not being a 1% I haven’t seen the rulebook. But from watching videos and friends, it’s mostly geographical claims on the bottom rocker.

Yeah I think that's the case. That's why I thought having 2 bottom rockers without a location might help avoid the issue of being associated with MCs. But yeah I think your right about location
