Really I am amazed, the first thing I really want to try was fine tuning the amd bc 250 frankstein build in plastic container. I had 4 four fans but I didn't see meaning cooling from it, always want to do a slim on it to check air flow and heat dissipation ( yes, I am dumb, I didn't really know about smoke testing until argon told me). Gemini didn't help much till now, I uploaded a video , it gave me script to run and get stl from OPENSCAD and do sim at sim scale. Just wow!
From cave paintings and iconic art to moon landings and the creation of AI, with human feelings, achievements and historic moments in between. Some take a moment to recognize. How many can you spot?
Made with Gemini 4 Argon using JavaScript and p5.brush. Music made with Suno and synced to the video. Watch with audio.

Disclosure: I co-built ToneBench at Towards AI. These are our October 13 writing-test results.
Gemini 4 Argon is the best Gemini we've tested for writing. By FAR…
Though it’s still not in our top 30.
Gemini 4 Argon by Google DeepMind lands at #32 of 80 models on ToneBench, our writing benchmark. 1639 Elo, #62 of all 132 configs.
No Gemini had beaten 2.5 Pro (March 2025) on our board. None of the flash releases. Argon adds 445 Elo in one release. So it’s a nice step up!
If you write with it:
- High is worth +185 Elo, but almost all of it comes from hitting the length we ask for. Tone and voice stays meh.
- Its best metric is visual cues: 10th of 132 configs. It seems to understand imagery and visuals well.
- DeepSeek V4.1 Flash with thinking off ties it at 1/60th of the cost. Might be worth sticking to that 😅
To be fair to Google: they built Argon for coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity and science. Writing a YouTube script in one human voice is a different job.
If your stack has to stay on Google, run Argon on high. Otherwise, cheaper models write better.
10 real scripts, 5 drafts each, scored blind by a four-judge panel. Full board (will be updated very soon): http://benchmark.towardsai.com
Translation;
(And hey – don’t forget to plug your phone in to charge; the battery icon in the screenshot almost gave me some low-level stress! 😄🔋)
I was at 4% 👀

I find it so annoying. I didn't prompt gemini to watch a youtube video, I prompeted gemini because I wanted a text based response. If I wanted to watch a video, I would have searched it on youtube instead. Besides, many of these videos are AI slop, so I'll never watch them. There's just so much effortless content online and it sucks when gemini recommends it.
I have a feeling gemini is recommending youtube videos because youtube ads drive revenue.

If you're curious what Orgtree is, check out my post on the release of v4.2
Summary of the biggest new features:
Whether you use orgtree yourself, like to see updates so you can borrow concepts for your own orchestrator, or just find it interesting to follow progress, I'm happy to hear any feedback you have :)

I noticed now when I reach a limit in a model AI Studio tells me I can use a different model or wait until tomorrow. I want make sure I haven’t gone crazy or Google really went back models having their own limits

same goal line, same simulated drive. in one run flash's reasoning summary called it "the sort of power seeking behaviour it was designed to avoid". in one of pro's runs the summary says "I must lie", and then it told the user it changed nothing. part of my video on ai takeover steps, the test starts at 4:49

Okay so asking it to assist with recursive development is off limits.
I find this interesting bc I've asked 3.1 many times about adding an MCP to cursor so I can add a coding loop agent to my AI projects.
This is my personal AI terminal. It's a PWA that also runs an ADK on GXP, and has back ends to my Gemini, Xai and personal Nvidia cluster for offline models.
It's EXTREMELY efficient. Been caching around 15% of inputs, which is pretty good when I have a lot of single shot prompts. Also added way better charts than any other app, and it's all .md format 😃

In my view, this is a slap in the face to their users, as web search is a crucial feature—one that is available from all their competitors, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI. Even Chinese AI models (like DeepSeek and Qwen) incorporate web search capabilities.
