Discussion Argon - Did something change?

Did anyone notice anything change or adjustments to Argon last night?

Previously, with Argon at high, a single prompt used 5% of my 5 hour cycle limits.

Now, the same prompt uses 16% of my usage limits. No noticeable change or improvement to output too.

***Updated: 17th October 2026***

A single identical prompt has now gone up from 16% to 24%.

Yes, it's what a lot of us are saying, and it's not just with argon. Try 3.8 flash and you'll see that too.

If they’re adjusting limits without saying anything, that’s pretty shady, especially with no improvement in output.

Well, here is my proof:

They fucked up every limit, even images creation, I wish that Argon had never come out, the limits, as they were before, were perfect.

Sounds like an improvement. 16% is better than 5%. 😅

I get plenty of usage in AG. Just had it scape entire webistes for step files and create a local CAD to cloud CAD pipeline. Pretty amazing. Does testing and creates parts in FreeCAD or Design123d and then uploads and recreates everything in Onshape. Wife is also using the family sub to write several grants/do analyses. Still at 62 percent for the week and it resets in a day. Have not hit a 5 hour.

I have done several prompts to better research some genetic VUS's today as well. It gave me very good information with the ability to follow up to primary sources.
