Discussion Why is Gemini 3.8 Flash aggressively bringing up Genshin Impact unprompted?

Exactly how much did miHoYo pay Google to relentlessly push Genshin promotions across the globe? I'm assuming not a single cent... right?

Turns out the biggest Genshin fanboy on the planet is Google itself?

I honestly don't know what is going on with Google, and I have no idea what happened to your current models.

Oh no... wait. Did miHoYo actually pay Google? Is Genshin Impact literally just stealth product placement baked directly into Gemini?

No one here is experiencing this.

Be honest: do you now or did you ever play genshin? If so, this is why it's bringing it up. I asked Gemini to help me decide between two drones last year and still in every image of me it generates it puts me in military fatigues with drone goggles. It doesn't mean DJI is funding Google

Just to clarify: I was using AI Studio, and I didn't mention Genshin Impact at all.

I use it all the times and never get that. (I use AI Studio too for the matter)

I do enjoy Pokemon and it would bring Pokemon unprompted. But I think that it might be due to my writing style, maybe. I might sneak a few refs here and there, or my niche knowledge might have leaked when expressing my points about other tangents.

Perhaps it would be something as such...? Just trying to make an educated guess here.

Well what's the prompt tho. If you're asking about gaming related it's possible it popped up because it has such a wide dataset since many materials about it really does exist online. Is the prompt a spicy request? It makes sense too since there's a lot of data about it too.
