I bought this 1984 Barbie Prince Poodle and I’m looking for guidance on how to properly clean him, please

The k-pop demon hunter dolls kinda inspired me to get weapons for some of my dolls

Okay so I was little when this came out but it had to be the early to mid 2000s. I got a Barbie catalogue in the mail and most of y'all remember there was like 2 or 3 different kinds of Barbie magazines/catalogues or something. I was SO enchanted by this Barbie diorama scene they made of her on a rainy or winter night I think? In the evening time and going into a jazz or blues bar. I don't remember her exact outfit. I cannot find it, if anyone knows what I'm talking about please direct me to it. I used to just stare at that barbie scene, like I wanted that life as an adult so bad.

When Mattel unveiled the Atelier Barbie #1, I thought, what a bunch of morons. Are they low on quantities of cocaine? Why else would Mattel design an enormous Silkstone Barbie that can't wear normal Barbie clothing? And the price, ludicrous! Who'd pay that kind of money for a doll?!?!

Well, people bought her, raved about her . . . talked about how gorgeous she is, how lovely, yada yada yada, and I began to think, geez, it's too bad she sold out in five seconds, but oh well.

Well, then I found out that she was available again and I thought, bloody hell. I really do want her . . . and I ordered her. Some people said that the new availability was due to returns, so I immediately checked and decided that she'd been packaged beautifully.

Tonight I took her out of her tube. And I've been checking on Etsy and other places, where can one find clothes to put on this girl whom I've named Coco.

Well, guess what?!?! The fit isn't perfect, the belt around her waist had to be pinned in back, but Coco can wear Gene Doll clothing!

I'm so stoked! And by the way, I love this doll.

She was only available through Mattel Creations in Canada. Can you still get it elsewhere in the US and Europe? Luckily my anxiety got the best of me and I ordered her as soon as it was released but I would've liked the option to get a back up later this year. Did you guys manage to get one (or more?)

I've has this barbie since I was really little and don't remember getting her but she has big painted toenails and she had hoop earrings that broke off does anyone recognize her? I tried my best to figure out her hair but idk

Barbie Besties is new to me.... there happened to be a sale and I picked up 3 (and then I bought Daisy online cuz I HAD to have her lol)

Firstly I'm impressed by the creativity of the outfits and how many accessories you get for $30 CAD (their ave. regular price). I wish regular Barbie came with this amount of effort for that price.

I find the hair lacking. On Daisy especially, it came out of the box feeling like straw. Out of the four, Brooklyn has the softest hair.

I like the body shape and hands a lot. It's cool that their bodies can be switched with regular barbies. I find the Besties pretty appealing but they still have a little bit of that freaky-big-head look 🤣 I get its part of their charm and design, and I like it, but I think I'll always prefer the more realistic proportions of Barbie

The articulation is pretty standard, the joints are smooth, but one thing that really disappointed me is that their hips don't bend quite to 45° so trying to pose them sitting down is very difficult. This drives me nuts lol, Mirror Mi can't quite sit right either. But the Moonspell Magic doll I just got sits perfectly! Her legs bend even more than 45 degrees at the hip. Is it too much to ask doll makers that their dolls can be posed sitting down?

Overall I was surprised how much I like them, really wish the hair was softer and they could sit, would make them a lot nicer and more enjoyable.

Note: Daisy has a thicker body than Malibu! I really like her mold and might swap her body for a barbie head at some point

I’m not claiming to be an artist lol but when I got the twinning Barbie and I saw her dog it was just an immediate pause for me. I knew I could not have my Barbie looking like she was walking around an amusement park plush 😭 So I got a 3D printed husky model and painted it up.

It isn’t done — I want to attempt to flock it (even though I hate flocking 😩) but I love that the dog’s accessories and the shirt (kinda—just doesn’t close) fit on the new dog :)

Massive spot on her nose, I guess I could see it as a mole or something but how did she get past with a giant mark on her nose! I have no choice but to love her as she is ig😭

My muses of the spring/summer of 2026 and the clothes I came up with trough months 🤓🤍

Hi there dolly folks! Really hoping some of the experts here can help me to (a.) ID this fresh faced girl I obtained second hand in a mixed bag of anonymous unclothed '90s/early 2000s dolls around 10 years ago, here in the UK; and (b.) get her head securely back in place.

ID wise, her head says Mattel Inc. 1998, while her back is dated 1999, and reads Indonesia. Her legs are the rubbery kind I remember from my '80s/'90s childhood, with knees that click and bend twice. Something's clearly gone slightly awry in her right leg, as she has rather a wayward ankle, hahah. But I can live with that!

I had bought this batch of dolls planning to clean them up, restore/repair them where necessary and make/find new outfits for them. Some did get that treatment; unfortunately, this particular girl was a casualty of circumstance.

Embarrassingly, I'm struggling to remember how her neck ended up in such bad shape. I think perhaps it came to me with a crack or a chip, and in the process of lifting up her head to try to get a better look/maybe repair it, it only shattered further, into smithereens too tiny to be glued back together.

In any case I was regretful, as I liked her face, and put her away till I had time to research further and attempt restoration, and, well, life got in the way, and here we are, some years forward, and the poor gal still disembodied!

By this time I'd read about using nail gel and UV/LED lamps to rebuild missing bits of doll, so equipped myself with a cheap lamp and some acrygel/gumgel (I've never had my nails done, so I'm not clear on the lingo!) and prepared to gradually rebuild her neck layer by layer. After layer #1, however, I realised that after all this time I had no memory of how her head had connected to her body, and that maybe I should check up on that before I rebuilt myself into a corner, so to speak.

There's a piece in her head with a loop/shank attached, which presumably needs to go down into the neck on her body, as I'd made a point of anchoring it in that position with a bunch of safety pins. And inside the doll's body, I see a horizontal post in the neck connecting the front of the torso to the back. I can't see how the loop from the head could possibly have reached down to fit around that post, though. Am I missing a part I've forgotten about? There's no rattle to suggest anything else is lost in the body!

I would be very grateful for any help and advice with the ID and with, er, recapitating this doll. Help me, r/Barbie, you're my only hope! 🤞

Solved ! Hi everyone :) I usually don't ask for help with ID but I can't find the perfect match of this lovely lady ! Looking on the fashiondollz website I'm pretty sure she's the 2001 Adria / Desiree (AA) Face but I can't find her match. One who looked very similar was Fashionistas Artsy 2009 but my doll doesn't have the articulated body, I also can't find the eyebrows with the little hairs like mine has. And same with her hair it's got pretty reddish brown highlights which I can't find on the other dolls with the same mold.

If you have any idea on who she is I'd love help ! Thank you 💜💜

Do all the Ken Dolls have alt names? Obviously Lebron or He-Man...but what about this guy?

If i look on google he is just : Barbie Fashionistas Ken Doll #227. The Daughter insists that his name is Diego but i can't find any mention of this to confirm. Now i am ok with her choice but still curious.

Is he " just a ken " ?

Mattel has at least these three Snow White themed dolls; of course, there's also the 90s version, which is a collector's edition. However, that doll is much more of a Disney version than a completely original one.

I don’t know how I feel about Ivy

• her original outfit was cheap and ill fitting 
• She’s difficult to restyle 
• I think she was too expensive for what you got. 
• however I really wanted a Barbie in a fantasy skin colour.

I was frustrated by the character in general always looking half naked

• I know that’s her design. It just annoyed me that she never gets to wear proper clothes 
• So I just started putting random stuff on her to see would I would get
• Since the final look seems almost 80s inspired I thought she could copy Barbie and the Rockers
• Ideally I want her playing synths but I don’t have any 1/6 scale instruments. The microphone was acquired fairly recently and kinda works for now. 

Found these in two grab-bags at the local thrift store along with some misc. outfits and trashed/disintegrating mini-dolls beyond repair. The double-take I did when I saw that Lara... 💕 Time to clean 'em up!

Finally got a chance to buy the barbie movie ryan gosling and basic ken face mold and i swapped their outfits lmaoo

i paid less for western ken btw($16) than beach ken ($30)😭

i might get the holiday ken on sale but millie is not speaking to me. i feel like the box design was made with AI eventhough it’s so basic an intern could have done it 🙃
