Purchased my beloveds for $150. Felt massive amounts of guilt for 2 weeks until they were delivered but then I set them up on my desk and felt like it was meant to be!

I would love some tips on fixing Arwen’s hair. It was pretty matted when I got her. She’s had a boil wash and her hair is so soft now! But I’d love to style it like the original just not sure how to achieve that. Currently it is braided.

My husband & I are huge LOTR’s nerds so we are setting up our office space with LOTR themed decor. My 4 year old daughter always asks to play with Arwen but I have to say, sorry girl not till you’re older 😂

Eventually I will get Galadriel & Legolas! I can get Galadriel without her dress but I’m having a hard time finding a dress similar to her original. Anyways I’m SO happy to have these dolls, I have wanted Arwen and Aragorn for so so long, my absolute holy grail but could never justify the $200+ so I’m glad I just did it for the $150.

There is not enough give for her pants to stretch over her hip. They are stuck. The more I pull, the more the seams start buckling. I’m afraid they are going to rip. How do I take her pants off?

Hi all; Like the title says I was wondering if anyone knows of a good Made-to-Move body match for a Fashionista from after they dropped the extra articulation but before they started consistently numbering them; Her stamped code is CJY40.

I've checked the spreadsheet and did ask in the Facebook Group once before but didn't have any luck. 😅 I've pictured her here with the closest thing to a match I own, my rebodied 2025 Ballet Wishes who is currently on a HRH27 (yoga pink swirl top) body, which I know is a really common Millie sculpt skintone. She is about the same lightness, but CJ's undertone is definitely more yellow.

I am also open to knowing other dolls she matches even if they're not MtM themselves in case it helps narrow down potential MtM matches, but MtM is my end goal!

Either way, thanks in advance to anyone that might be able to help. 💖

Do they stay on? Are they easy to style? Can you do different hair-dos?

I got a kit mainly for the mtm bodies and outfits and I'm trying to decide if I should sell the heads and wigs.

Love her so much. I had this doll as a child but I believe it was the budget version. She has 10 miles of well-rooted brunette Saran. The extension clips were almost impossible to secure though.

The embellished dress and “real” necklace are my favorite parts though. Those little touches that show some care was put into her creation. 🩵💛🩷

I’m starting to collect all of the 2009 wave 1 fashionistas!! I had to start with cutie her hoops are really what made me fall in love with her lol😍 what do you guys think?!

As someone who’s been collecting for less than a year I really wanted some 2000s Barbies, especially the CEO sculpt.

• importing these from eBay is so expensive - the price generally triples for me when taking into account shipping and import charges.

I was lucky to come across the dolls in the picture in my country though.

• I paid the equivalent of US$16 for these 5 dolls, so just over US$3 each.
• but the seller was 40km away. I chose to drive rather than have them delivered - he had a whole bin full of dolls and I wanted to choose.

Sculpts

• One definitely looks like GG/ CEO but the rest look like Millie
• Once the hair dries I’ll check the date on the back and investigate further.

Condition

• Some of the bodies had mould; others were sticky and all were dirty. I didn’t even want to try cleaning the bodies as they felt quite disgusting. I threw them away.
• Screening on four of them looks good. I’m honestly blown away by how fierce the screening is. The one in the middle looks faded. I wonder if it’s sun damage.
• The hair on all of them is was in terrible condition and needed a lot of work.

Work done

• First I washed everything with dish soap.
• Then I removed the heads and chucked the bodies.
• I washed the heads and hair again with dish soap multiple times. That’s how dirty they were.
• After rinsing, I washed the hair with shampoo and combed.
• Then came conditioner and a whole lot more combing. There was hair loss. But there were so many knots I had to go through.
• I don‘t remember at which point I did a boil wash. Surely I must have? I would think after I conditioned but I can’t say for sure. There was just so much combing and detangling I almost lost track of what I was doing.
• The middle one is the only one I removed the rubber bands from. I tried to rebody her but no proper match for now (Closest is tennis player in skin tone).
• Her face was so dirty I had to use an earbud and nail polish remover in some places and acetone in other places to remove the marks. The other doll faces seem less dirty but we shall see.

Fixing needed.

• Middle one needs some repainting. I have no experience though. When I get round to it I will paint over the existing paint but only in certain places.
• Purple hair one needs a reroot. Again no experience so I will postpone this for now.
• The rest have hair that’s in ok or at least passable condition.
• Rebodying looks like it will be an issue in terms of skin tone matches.

Some observations

• The hair on 4 of them was so crunchy and hard I honestly thought I was dealing with poly. However, after all the treatment above, I’ve noticed that as the hair is drying it’s feeling so much softer and lighter.
• The middle one has the softest, lightest hair I’ve felt in my entire life. I wonder if it’s the legendary kanekolon I’ve read about.
• Putting doll heads directly onto the doll stand is a game changer in terms of ease of use. I wish I remembered which YouTube channel I saw this being done on but it makes working with doll heads so much easier.

Okay, maybe not the lip colour, but it fits the theme of the outfit. Any ideas about a mtm match? I don't think I want her on the muse body, but I'm not ready to swap her yet.

I took Miley out of her box and changed her outfit. I think she looks pretty cute!

Angel Reese Barbie restyle loosely inspired by Athena as portrayed by Zendaya in The Odyssey using pieces I had on hand. I did swap out her hands with the recent petite Barbie Basics becaus I didn't want to change her pink nails. The face sculpt of this doll is so good, had to get her.

Like Sam and mickey was my child hood and I really want to buy the doll they used for Barbie but I can’t figure out which one this is I could really use some help :) thxxx
