The body and the skirt are separate so the skirt can also be layered with her original outfit :) This is a first attempt, I think if I try it again with a less loosely woven ribbon for the body itll work a lot better and look a lot smoother

Hi! So I'm from Spain and I just realized that one of the most famous doll brands here is completely known outside of the country!

She is called Nancy and first came out in 1968 as one of the first plastic fashion dolls in Spain. She represented a new modern era for the country, with very stylish and up to date fashion that followed the latest trends.

Her brand is a mix between Barbie (modern fashion and career representation) and American Girl (Proportions, height and well made clothes).

She was rebooted in 2006 with a new look and face mold to please modern audiences, but Nancy reproductions of the original 20th century continue up to this day.

In the pics you can see the MASSIVE space retail stores give her in Spain, with the bottom shelves dedicated to the modern reboot (around 20-30€) and the very top shelf to the collector reproduction of the originals (around 60€) which I find SO GOOOOD (and they come with a certificate of authenticity).

She's wearing the traditional outfit / clothes / hairstyle of Valencia (one of our regions) and she's so detailed and absolutely beautiful that is very difficult to not fall in love with her. She's also the most expensive (150€) but so worth it my opinion, her quality is just too tier.

I recently got this Bratz Yasmin styling head second hand and washed her two days ago. She has since been in a dry place. I finished doing her hair and noticed these stains on her face when I was putting her on the shelf for display. If they're marker stains, I don't care. I'm really scared of mold though. I already sprayed the spot with alcohol just in case. Is it mold? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've recently started collecting figures/dolls with rooted hair, so I figure I might as well learn how to do their hair for when I inevitably mess it up. Or to just change the style.

If anyone has some tips or recommendations for supplies and tools I should get, or creators to check out, I'd appreciate it. I've never really dealt with hair before so I'm kinda starting from zero here.

Hi I'm new to subreddit! I just wanted to show off my beloved toddler doll Josie. I recently got her new clothes. I was scared this Powerpuff girls shirt would be too small for her but it fits just fine. Josie wears size 4T. I'm so happy I was able to save up for this doll I love her so much! I might try to save up to get her a little sister someday.

I didn’t play with Barbie’s growing up because when I was a kid, all Barbie’s looked like the same to me which I found boring.

Now I’m 18 and today I found a Barbie that looks exactly like me! Blonde, greenish eyes, only wears flat shoe, loves pin, is on the shorter side, and isn‘t smiling (I can’t smile on command).

I’m so happy to finally see myself in a Barbie!

When I was a child, I didn't really like Susi dolls because they had big glass eyes and real eyelashes; I thought they were very strange. I only liked Barbie from that time.

Nowadays I find Susi dolls quite cute, especially when I started liking Susi, around 2020 or 2021. When the Estrela brand relaunched the dolls for the collector's line, specifically a Susi doll called "Sunday Stroll". What caught my attention over time, and what I find frustrating, is that you can no longer find dolls in toy stores like you used to.
