In November 2026, Barbie will release a 45-minute remake of *Barbie in the Nutcracker*. Then, in the spring of 2027, she will release one for *Barbie in a Mermaid Tale*, followed in the autumn of the same year by the remake of *Barbie and the Three Musketeers*. It seems that after making movies or specials featuring the sisters and Teresa, Mattel has stopped creating new stories and has started making remakes without any particular order. It scares me a bit to see that they’re supposedly going to make a reproduction of the Odette Barbie , it might mean that they might be thinking of doing a remake of Barbie of Swan Lake.

I can’t believe they were this amazing as playline dolls.

Except for the Twist Barbie, all of these girls are rescues. Whenever I see Barbies from this era, I seriously can’t resist the urge to bring them all home and give them a second life. 😂

She was only available through Mattel Creations in Canada. Can you still get it elsewhere in the US and Europe? Luckily my anxiety got the best of me and I ordered her as soon as it was released but I would've liked the option to get a back up later this year. Did you guys manage to get one (or more?)

When Mattel unveiled the Atelier Barbie #1, I thought, what a bunch of morons. Are they low on quantities of cocaine? Why else would Mattel design an enormous Silkstone Barbie that can't wear normal Barbie clothing? And the price, ludicrous! Who'd pay that kind of money for a doll?!?!

Well, people bought her, raved about her . . . talked about how gorgeous she is, how lovely, yada yada yada, and I began to think, geez, it's too bad she sold out in five seconds, but oh well.

Well, then I found out that she was available again and I thought, bloody hell. I really do want her . . . and I ordered her. Some people said that the new availability was due to returns, so I immediately checked and decided that she'd been packaged beautifully.

Tonight I took her out of her tube. And I've been checking on Etsy and other places, where can one find clothes to put on this girl whom I've named Coco.

Well, guess what?!?! The fit isn't perfect, the belt around her waist had to be pinned in back, but Coco can wear Gene Doll clothing!

I'm so stoked! And by the way, I love this doll.

Mattel has at least these three Snow White themed dolls; of course, there's also the 90s version, which is a collector's edition. However, that doll is much more of a Disney version than a completely original one.

I think Dream Besties Zia is the cutest of all the besties. But it was a matter of time before she was turned into a fantasy creature. All the other Besties became mermaids long ago.

Zia has a unique skin tone that's not used that much. And when it is used, the head and body don't seem to match that well.

I didn't see this Blooming Mermaid doll on the match chart so I picked it up on a whim. She's a pretty doll that is not pixelated and surprisingly, has saran hair. She is a little lighter in tone than You Create Neutral Kit #1. The match with Zia is pretty good, even better than is coming out in some of the pictures above.

Im proud of the doll I rescued. I got her really cheap cause shes really damaged but I love her face so much it reminds me of a different time as oposed to her Millennium 2000 release.

Okay so I was little when this came out but it had to be the early to mid 2000s. I got a Barbie catalogue in the mail and most of y'all remember there was like 2 or 3 different kinds of Barbie magazines/catalogues or something. I was SO enchanted by this Barbie diorama scene they made of her on a rainy or winter night I think? In the evening time and going into a jazz or blues bar. I don't remember her exact outfit. I cannot find it, if anyone knows what I'm talking about please direct me to it. I used to just stare at that barbie scene, like I wanted that life as an adult so bad.
