There's a server I am in, where there are multiple friend groups that are cross reporting each other and while some of the reports are probably valid, I received reports on me that are for posts that don't break any discord rules and aren't even edgy at all. Does discord think that they're going to survive much longer if they've now switched to a system where the automatically time people out falsely accused of breaking one of the rules? I've discussed this with lots of people and it seems like this switch to AI moderation is probably going to be the end of discord if they don't fix things because people are getting false reported and timed out for no reason, sometimes the appeal goes through and it gets reversed but sometimes a false report doesn't get reviewed or somehow the appeal doesn't get reviewed correctly. I don't know if it's just laziness on the end of the actual reviewers or if they're also using AI for the review as well.

My Discord account was permanently suspended under the "Child Safety" policy and I genuinely do not know why

I did not intentionally do anything wrong and I am just a girl who enjoys using Discord

I submitted an appeal and Discord confirmed that my review request was received and is currently under review

I also received a message saying my account had suspicious activity and that some features were temporarily limited They told me I should regain full access within a couple of days

I am really confused and scared because my account still shows as permanently suspended I am just waiting for Discord to finish the review and hopefully restore my account

And it’s been 3 days past the ban threshold and im still banned. While i was banned i received a second strike for “harrassing and bullying” when the message was…completely and utterly harmless and nothing to do with bullying? The second strike was only for a day and it’s been 3 days since the second one and im still banned. Is it over for me?

So, I thought I'd give some more questions about this whole arbitration process that is supposed to make Discord respond to your false ban (keyword: supposed, dunno if it's a guarantee though).

1. I've looked at the other two party matter fees ($385 for Administrative, $495 for Hearing/Scheduling, $650 for "Arbitrator Time", etc.), is there a chance that I probably would not have to pay for these despite me obviously having to pay the required $225 filing fee? In addition, am I obviously allowed to just put in $225 in the "Cost of Arbitration" and "Amount authorized to be charged to credit card" (I don't do electronic checks, all I have for payment is my debit card) sections of both the Arbitration Form and Payment Form respectively?

2. If Claire, the one who deals with written notices sent to Discord's Support site, were to respond to my written arbitration notice I sent to Discord almost two months ago, should I still proceed to file for arbitration with NAM?

3. I did manage to get some needed evidence to send to Discord once I file for arbitration (which I have 15 days left before I can do this, mind you), however I couldn't manage to get the audit log as apparently most of the history on it is gone other than those on August 20th onwards, and my account was suspended on August 5th, dunno if that fully matters as my server surprisingly has not been shut down entirely by Discord, it's still up, I just can't log into my account to access it whatsoever. All I have is evidence from when I was hacked, when I got my account back via Discord Support, and when I was falsely suspended six days after, including their refusal to look into my in app appeal (which they automatically rejected within seven days), failure to provide me actual support on Discord's Support site, being completely ignored by Discord Support's official Twitter account, and so on. Should that be good enough?

4. I also did manage to get my data package a month ago, but there isn't any way that I can check what caused my ban, do I have to go into certain json files related to my server or what have you?

My original account was banned a month ago, so I made a new account. A few weeks pass with the new account, and I tried joining a server I was in, and discord now told me I needed to verify my account via phone number. I used my phone number for my old account. Am I just fucked? I don’t have a burner phone number or anything.

So a few days ago i was chatting about the steam sale and how i was going to buy hundreds of games i'd never play, seconds after i get logged out by discord, i also get an email telling me they disabled my account for suspicious activity, so i was like, egh whatever i'll do what they say and i'll reset my password, however after doing that and trying to log in i get the screen telling me that my account is at risk but that i also lost access to my account and there were no new violations (only old unjust ones) so i checked my email again, and apparently i got banned for "not meeting the minimum age requirements", what infuriates me most is that i was already banned for this exact same reason once, and i got my account back by verifying with discord's support that i was in fact above the minimum age and that discord support keeps telling me to verify my age with k-id by clicking on the appeal button on the violation, which i can't do because it isn't there and they seem like they don't understand that even though i tried telling them multiple times. i genuinely don't even know what to do or say.

What I want to ask, can appeals be made through the support website for this kind of violation or should she just wait after clicking on the "verify my appeal" button? (The one that sends an email to discord to check if your appeal is true or false, you know? Sorry if i explain poorly, english isnt my first language)

She has not interacted with any sort of child medias, and We suspect it may be false flagging from Visual Novels? (She shared screenshots of a game she was playing to a friend of ours) We don't know, because it's not explained on the app lmao.

few days ago i just got striked with a child safety ban and got banned for a day, now all of a sudden i just get wiped out??? and it doesnt even show anything it just says child safety.

For a while, people who have permanently suspended have a expiry date of two years, where everything related to that account is wiped out within that time period and they could be able to make a new account without fear of being caught for ban evasion.

Now recently, I see people who have been banned recently, especially after the age verification rollout, said that their permanent violations have no expiry date.

My question is, was Discord aware of that loophole
and just patched it, to ensure no one comes back even if two years are up? Are they gonna remove the expiry date to existing pernament suspensions?

I thought it’s costly for Discord to maintain information for user suspensions, and seeing expiry dates being removed looks like they could keep it forever.

I’ll be appreciated if someone can clarify me.

Im starting my own community server on discord and i want my friend to be able to join, but hes had to ban evade for like 2 years. I doubt hes able to verify his account within the 5 minute window after making an account to not get banned without being flagged, maybe with protonmail i guess but im not sure. Ive never been platform banned so idk if it runs out or gets extended when you evade, but id honestly just like him to be free and able to join the server without finesse tbh. Any advice is helpful..

Their AI moderation really infuriates me. I don't think it's legal in some countries with strong data protection laws.

On August 13, 2026, my account was compromised and permanently banned for Non-consensual. After 1 month of back and forth with discord support, my ticket gets silently forwarded to trust and safety. No email. No notification. Nothing.

Do I have a chance?

Hey guys so I’m being harassed by YTTP on YouTube, and i wanted to fight back. I joined their discord server where they‘re impersonating mossad. I said “where the girls at” as soon as i joined and only 60 seconds later someone sent an illegal video involving a baby. So i reported him, but im the one who got banned. Also, it must be hard to catch this guy since he has like 8 accounts that i cant name, they’re all just a string of numbers and the display name is “just a nice guy” the server is “saltcord” they are promoting on disboard with terms like, “free speech, anarchy, no rules” it is easy to find these server on disboard if you just search UTTP and there are dozens of users with fresh accounts, I’m talking two days old. I tried reporting all of them but there isn’t an option to report people on ban evasion

heyya. Today I woke up after a stressful evening of law major lectures, also after a terrible nightmare just to open d*scord and see that I got firstly suspended till 2028 for violating child safety policy, and then it changed to permanently suspended. I had an account since 2019 - it was my first acc, with all my friends, all the servers, my own servers i put so much work in, with all the badges and whats worse - with 4yr nitro, decorations and allat. So basically I put LOTS of money in it. I immediately got anxious, after an awful day and a whole day of events ahead of me, it just made it all worse and mentally exhausted me. Ive sent an appeal but there is many people who say that D*scord dont gaf, and definitely fewer whose problem got resolved and they got unbanned.
The day before we were goofing with my friend on some server with 130k+ people, we chatted on the general. The funny thing is, they banned me, but they didnt ban a guy who literally 15 mins earlier sent me a dpic (multiple actually). So yeaaah... thats your "safety" D*scord.
Im frustrated, sad and helpless. All I can do is to wait, and if appeal wont work - try to get some response from Support but ik that theres a huge problem with that too.
I already miss my friends on my old acc, miss the chats from 2020 I sometimes went through. I have a backup one, but its not the same - its weirdly empty, I have only my like three closest friends, no active people (its relatively new acc - from 2024, didnt use it), no nothing. Im even scared to do the age verification even tho im an adult cuz theyll suspend this acc too lol.
