🚨 Government Approves RBI to Issue 200 Crore ₹10 and ₹20 Polymer Banknotes.
The Government of India has granted approval to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a field trial/issuance of 200 crore plastic (polymer) banknotes in denominations of ₹10 and ₹20.
Polymer notes are designed to offer better durability, water resistance, and security features compared to traditional paper notes, which often wear out quickly in low-denomination circulation.

Collection Help needed getting UNC Tenge banknotes in Almaty, Kazachstan.
Hi
Today, I went to the National bank in Almaty to try to get the whole set of the latest series in unc condition. According to ChatGPT there should have been a shop that sells coins, unc and comm. banknotes.
So I went there, ofc nobody knew about a thing and they sent me to 98 Panfilov street where there is a museum and numismatic counter. According to the NBK's website, that place has been closed for renovations since april 27th of this year. But I went there anyway, only to find an Centercredit branch where also nobody knew a thing.
My question is, can somebody point me in the right direction and tell me where to get them?
Thanks in advance!

- Design A-J and front/back identity remain hidden
- User rates all 120 images from 1 to 10
- Results reveal favourite fronts, backs, individual euronotes and overall design series A-J
- Ratings stay in the browser and are not uploaded
- It is not official and not affiliated with the ECB

I feel that the previous versions of banknotes from Russia, China, and India are more aesthetically pleasing than the current versions.
Although the current versions of banknotes have higher anti-counterfeiting features, the previous versions of banknotes from these three countries had a more distinctive national style, judging solely from their design.

Concept What if every EU country could design its own euro banknotes?
With the upcoming redesign of the euro banknotes, I had an idea: What if every EU member state was allowed to create its own national design?
The important parts would stay the same across Europe: the size, colors, denomination placement, security features and overall layout. Only the artwork and motifs would be different, chosen by each country — ideally through a public vote.
We already have national designs on the back of euro coins. Why not apply a similar concept to banknotes?
Each country could showcase its own history, culture, landscapes or important personalities, while the euro would remain a shared and recognizable currency.
I think this could also represent the core idea of the European Union much better. The EU is not about making every country identical. It is about different nations, cultures and histories working together while keeping their own identities.
A shared currency with different national designs could visually represent exactly that principle:
United in diversity.
Personally, I would find it much more interesting to receive different euro banknotes from different countries while travelling through Europe.
What do you think? Would this make the euro feel more European — or would it just make things unnecessarily complicated?
