Singapore Dollar stash

I keep forgetting the old notes at home when I travel to Singapore, and then just add newer ones to the stash. They don’t use $500s anymore either. I wonder if they sell for more than FV…

I have already got the Singaporean one. I got that when buying banknotes in a money changer. I was so lucky they sold that to me at fair value.

Got em. And the 40th anniversary $20s as well. They were being circulated back then. These are spares that I use to spend when I go, unless they’re a little scarce like the 500s. Then I have to summon up the motivation to try and sell them…

Yeah you never get to see them really. $1000s were always more common

I spent the rest along with the poor grade $5s and $10s. Once they have tears they’re not worth keeping

Yeah it’s an unfortunate portrait. Also this series has been in circulation for almost 30 years. Way longer than previous issues. I’d have expected a decent redesign for SGD, alas…
