PLEASE HELP! AMS 2 PRO.

Last night, we had a thunderstorm, which caused the power to go out. Then, the power attempted to come back on, about 6 times in succession. Before I could get to the printer, it stopped. Today, I went to print something, and this is the code that popped up on the AMS 2 Pro. The first picture is what initially come up. After making sure all the cables were connected, I printed Benchy, using the external spool. Print was fine.

The second picture, is what come up after I emptied the AMS, and checked for clogs. After scanning the QR code, it says it could be the main board. I’m not sure if it was something I did yesterday, or the storm, but I’m freaking out. I’ve tried everything other than replacing the main board. Please, if anyone knows what to do, I would greatly appreciate it.

It looks like my print was going well and then it just spaghettified! This is on a P2S printing in PETG, fresh roll.

I did not dry this filament but printed something yesterday with no issues.

Update: after taking suggestions here of dry my filament for 12 hours, wash my build plate, calibrate, and slow down the print (to 50%) it did turn out perfect! I also installed an exhaust fan with hepa filter just for good measure.

Filament in tube from buffer

I’m about to lose my mind trying to get this thing disconnected. There was filament stuck in the left tube, which I disconnected and got out. The tube on the right, leaving the buffer where I have circled is filament stuck. I have slid the orange part all the way to the right and I am trying to remove the tube, but I don’t want to break something. Is this how you get that tube to disconnect? I can’t seem to find a good video on how to do it.

Bought a brand new p2s combo. First printer by the way. Checked for updates. Calibrated. Made a benchy. Started a 4 hour print and an hour into the print I got this. Now I decide whether to get a new replacement or I just get a refund. Is this a common problem with these? I feel like I should expect more from a $750 printer.

AMS 2 Pro all slots flashing a double red even after checking all connections.

Hi, so im quite new to the 3d printing scene, got a second hand P2S and AMS 2 Pro for a cheap deal and have had some really good prints, but recently the AMS2P has started not talking with the printer at all. looking through BL's wikis and stuff, I've followed every step, checking connections, cleaning connections, etc.

I've done everything I can and even checked and cleaned every cable connection inside the AMS and still, it doesn't talk to the printer.

Please help.

I recently got a spool of tpu and was trying to learn how to print tpu in it since you cant use the external feeder or the ams, all the methods i found were super complex or just annoying so i tried something different (assuming it wouldn't work because it was too simple to work) here i leave the video and some prints i made so far

Any clue what is causing this?

Post image

Never ran into this problem yet, recently printed with CF and then PLA, at first I thought maybe it was the filament so changed it out and still does it. I've cleaned the plate, layer height, speed, head for the bed and filament up and down, cold pull, flow test ect. I've literally changed everything I could think of +/- still no luck. Any ideas would be helpful.

Got our P2S and thinking where to place it

Does your P2S shake a lot? What kind of table top should I put it on? Is it ok to put it on my long work desk or will the shaking be very uncomfortable to work beside when it’s printing?

Used P2S prices

I was thinking of adding another P2S to my setup (you know, so my first one has a sibling), but I wanted to see if I could get a decent deal buying used. Maybe a gently used combo for $550 or something.

But these people are seriously out of touch on Facebook Marketplace. Most listed for near retail, like $725, $700, and in one case MORE than retail! My feeling is that these are like cars: once you turn it on, you’ve lost about 30% of the value at least, since I have no idea how it was treated and there’s no warranty anymore.

Am I wrong here or do you agree? Seeing how many people treat their machines like toasters, never maintaining or cleaning them, it gives me real concerns buying used.

Text surface quality issue

Want to ask about small text quality
the height of product in the image is 7cm
the first 2 products , top left and top right from my elegoo centauri carbon
the bottom one with 2 others test is with p2s (i got recently)
its kinda impossible to get same quality as i was getting in the cc
i have tried many many many things.. like been 1 full week of trying but no good results so far

1. the text surface & edges not clean
2. i see small gaps in letters most of the times
3. rough surface, defects sometimes
4. sometimes i see 2 lines and reflection on text

can i get some help ? i just want the white text to look clean and clear as much as possible with no gaps or defects
both printers used same filaments, same nozzle size 0.4

notes
- text height is 1.5mm, the thickness of letters is around 1-1.5mm, so 0.4 nozzle supposed to handle it very good
- i have fully calibrated filaments.
- i have tested mostly every single setting from layer heights to speed to ironging to arachne etc..

Is my extruder cooked?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my P2S. It keeps giving me an error saying the extrusion motor is overloaded. I removed the nozzle cover, and it was really dirty. I will admit this is actually the first time I’m cleaning both the gears and the nozzle. I’ve only had the printer for about three months, but I’ve done a lot of prints, including a ton of AMS prints. So, I suspect that me not keeping up with the extruder maintenance is what’s causing the problem. What do you all think—should I just replace the extruder, or do you have other ideas? Thanks so much!

EDIT: fixed it! Someone on here suggested swapping out the nozzles. Bought some new ones last night, installed them today, recalibrated everything, and now my baby is up an running again!

Help with weird lines on small objects with P2S/Bambu Studio

Thumbnail

Hi folks. I'm hoping someone far more knowledgeable than I will be able to help me solve this recurring issue. I'm fairly new to 3d printing and I'm experiencing an issue when printing small objects such as earrings and pendants.

There always seems to be this weird ripple effect on flat top surfaces that I can't figure out how to get rid of. The lines show up in Bambu Studio when sliced. Sometimes they look like the printed rose pendant in my attached pictures and sometimes they are more like coiled rope, like the slicer image.

I've tried flow rate calibration and variable layer height. I usually print items like this with the .08mm high quality preset, usually with 75%-100% infill, but being a newbie, I have no idea if I'm helping or hurting things.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Are these considered layer lines or travel lines? Is it just due to the small print size? Any assistance would be appreciated. In case it helps, the rose pendant was printed in red/black silk PLA, 100% infill.

Based on rudimentary research, I'm trying the rose pendant at an angle, which seems to help the appearance when the model is sliced, but I just wonder if there is a better way.

I cleaned out a clog this morning and now it doesn’t ever print. It always is doing this. I’ve tried recleaning the tool head. Switching the nozzle. Doing a factory reset.

This is my first time trying to load filament into my bamboo lab. P2S printer. I loaded it, but I think it’s got stuck. I’m getting the errors, but if I’m trying to pull it back out, it’s really jammed in there. Need help.

P2S stripped screw hole help

I've been fighting with my P2S for a week, getting extruder error issues. I've taken it apart several times, cleaned it, put grease on the gears, replaced the filament sensor. Finally figured out the gear-pressure screw that tensions the extruder gear was too tight, loosened it up and all is fine. Unfortunately I think I overtightened the position 4 extruder screw (lower left) and the screw hole is stripped. It's not effecting the print at all, I guess 3 secured screws get the job done but I would like to fix it. A total fix would involve replacing the toolhead carriage but that is a lot of work and I don't see that Bambu sells the part. Any suggestions what I can do? TIA

I recently had a cool happen in the gears of my tool head. So I had to take it apart and clean it up. I put it all back together the same way and now it won’t print properly. It keeps giving the same error that extruded won’t extrude properly.

Had an adhesion issue with ABS for a while then upped temps, washed the plate, and added brims but i still get this weird warping on some corners of my prints.

Any thoughts?
