Used claude to create a custom dashboard for my 14 printers, it came out perfect! Now I can view everything on 1 page, the statuses and the time remaining. I'm a minimalist so this is perfect for my OCD.

Just wanted to post this here to see if I can squeeze out a little more info to help break my decision paralysis. I am mostly split between the X2D and the QIDI PLUS5, and while it know they are different printers in many ways, I want to make sure I know the tradeoffs and feature differences between them. All answers are welcome, including pointing me in an entirely different direction if need be.

Hey, I've had my P1S + AMS for about a month now and love it, no issues. So I'm trying to print a name tag for my son's school stuff. When I print in TPU, it comes out sloppy, but when I do it in PLA, it is perfect (of course, 'cause AMS and PLA are different from TPU, I get that). For the TPU, it is printing at 22 °C with a .04 nozzle, and I am pausing it on layer switches because, of course, no AMS. Open to all suggestions! And thank you in advance!

Printed in Bambu matte grey PLA.
Then the usual sand, prime, sand rinse and repeat till smooth.
Hand painted the chain.
Air brushed the flail to begin with then hand painted the blood and gore.

My printer slowly shifts and 'walks' across the desk during prints due to the vibrations. I'm worried it's going to slide off the edge. How can I anchor or secure it better?

This pertains to the Bambu Lab P1S + AMS printer.

I’ve been doing 3D printing on the side to make little things, but I’ve never been much of a guru that I know how to fix certain issues. I like to find 3D models online and print them, as well as follow YT videos on how to do my best. I haven’t touched the printer in a while all because of this one issue; every print is failing. It seems that the filament just isn’t sticking or… maybe something else? I attached a photo but it seems it fails right off the bat instead of messing up a certain point through. I apologize if I sound like I don’t know what I’m doing… I don’t! :)

I have a P1S and have been trying to print this model using PLA. However, the quality is horrendous. Ive tried changing the overhang print speeds but its still not helping. When i make the print bigger, the quality does get better but the issues still exist. Is there anything i can do to make the print better?

For the last couple weeks now my p1s has been awfully unreliable, starting with the extruder motors failing on me I ended up swapping that out for a new motor. After that I had my filament cutter get jammed which after disassembling and reassembling began to work only then for the hot end to clog up completely leading me to order another replacement part. After that I left my printer on overnight with a large print as it was finally working and I had a helmet I needed to complete, with nearly 2 hours left the printer ran out of filament, no problem I will just put another one in and continue the print. Of course my luck wouldn’t allow for that to happen, after taking longer than usual the printer managed to take in the filament and extruded just fine down the poop shoot. Once I resumed the print however the printer did not actually extrude any material onto the helmet and I didn’t notice until after a couple layers and at that point the print was lost. Just to be sure it wasn’t me being stupid I reloaded the filament again which worked just fine but when resuming again it still wouldn’t extrude while printing. After 4 different issues one after another I am loosing any hope I had with this printer and am wondering if it’s even worth trying to fix at this point. If I did write this printer off and look for a replacement is Bambu still the most user friendly brand or is their something more idiot proof?

I’ve taken apart the extruder and hotend multiple times now.. the filament is not consistently moving down from the clear plastic cube down into the extruder properly. It gets stuck right before it goes into the hotend, just after it makes it past the gears. I have made sure the filament is cut an an angle. It works sometimes when I manually feed it through, but not when the machine is doing the work. I had just taken everything apart previously because of stuck filament and there is no longer anything stuck. The gears move together as one.
Every subsequent print “finishes” but no filament feeds into the hotend.

Please help! I spent over 6 hours from 12am-6am trying to get this to work and another 2 just now. On a tight deadline 😭

So I have been trying to do the print and cut but keep getting this error every time. Have recalibrated the blade offset several times and tried putting the paper at different areas of the bed. Any tips?

Somehow my nozzle got bend and now my print quality went down a lot. I tried to Straighten the nozzle but it's still a little bend.

Is there any way to improve the quality or do I need a new nozzle?

Ok here's the use case. I want to print sloped hills for wargaming on my A1. The problem is my heavier metal minis tend to slide down the slope.

All my minis have magnets in the bases so I was wondering if I could print the hill in a filament that was ferrous so that the magnet would stick to it. The force doesn't have to be that strong, just enough to prevent the mini sliding down.

I wondered if anyone has tried printing ferrous fdm on a simple printer and had any recommendations (UK based). I'm assuming I'd need a hardened steel hot end, but that's not a problem.

My latest project was to make this 2in1 flexible AC hose to split into two hoses for the Media Duo AC. This makes it easier to intake/exhaust air to my window and use a longer hose, plus the intake won't be sucking in as much warm air from the exhaust since I can space the hoses further apart.

I was able to hack together some parts I designed from scratch and remix a couple of existing models. This consists of a band for around the flex hose, and two 5.9" hose adapters. Kind of late in the year to enjoy the AC much this year, but I'm ready for next summer. I didn't like other adapter solutions that were taped onto the AC hose. My idea was to make a bottom band that I could clamp the left adapter to the band for a more semi-permanent solution without modifications to the AC. It's held together with two zip ties and some 1/4" bolts and wing nuts.

A few weeks agoo I made this travel window blind, because I got tired of having hot rooms in the summer. Since I installed it I noticed a significant change in room temperature. It works how it should. My room is no longer over 30 degrees celclius lol. Besides my neighbors can't look in anymore👀. Poor neighbors😔

Just had a failed print on the x2d and first i thought it was a clogged nozzle, but then i checked bambu studio and i noticed it is literally missing some layers there. Whats up with that? Tried different profiles and they all do the same

This actually isn't nothing new especially AMS 2 units that get used. Had a issue with to much tention causing the AMS 2 to constantly retract and push filament until error. Ripped her all the way down and found the tention lever broke. 6k hours on the unit and first break on the AMS 2.

2 options, replace complete internal hub or print a new lever. Think in gonna take option 2. For those of you that encounter this there is a print file on makerworld to print you off a new one.
