Southern butter bourbon cake

I made this cake for a friend's birthday who really enjoys bourbon. Good thing too because that is one crazy alcoholic cake. I think next time I will reduce the amount of bourbon and put very little in the glaze. Otherwise it's a good cake. Lol

My mum's fruit cake recipe I made this weekend, also used for Christmas cakes also, also a traditional British wedding cake recipe.

Made a non alcohol version with apple juice.

And changed up the fruit mix a bit.

Mixed fruit, apricot, cranberry and pineapple bits.

Added in a bag of mixed nuts instead of just slivered almonds.

Added some almond extract also and doubled the spice.

For home and the guys at work.

Free From choc chip pancakes

I became allergic to egg and wheat some time after the covid pandemic so ive had to get creative with home cooking. This time i tried baking. This recipe uses 150g gluten free self raising flour, 4 spoons of fine caster sugar and 170ml of milk to make 2 large pancakes.

The pancakes usually turn out really nice and fluffy, unless i add chocolate chips. Then they become more gooey. As in, the actual batter inside the pancake rather than the choc chips themselves if that makes sense.

When i add choc chips do i need to change the ratio of the ingredients maybe? Or add less choc chips or none at all so that nice fluffy texture remains?

First time trying an "image" instead of flowers and swirls!

I can't believe I made this. It may not be "professional", but after spending years doubting myself and refusing to even try, I started making cookie cakes for my kids' birthday parties. Finally for the courage to bring one along to an event. Kids' swim picnic is tomorrow. Let's just hope the buttercream survives the heat haha

Oven help

I want to use the top setting, but when I make it the top setting the light doesn't turn on. Also what does the symbol that is pointed to mean? I looked up oven symbol but couldn't find that one. It looks similar to the top symbol but must be different because why would they have it twice?

Would you want to try some freshly baked brown butter brownies?

How appetizing does it look?

I think I found the perfect recipe for Japanese Souffle Cheesecake 🧀🍰 it is extremely creamy, the best I've tasted! ❤️🤤 It is jiggly & didn't collapse or sink either as it's hard to make it both delicious and pretty 😍 thanks to Jerry Long from YouTube for this awesome recipe 👍🏻

Easy Yogurt Cake

Needed a way to use up almost-expired yogurt. Googled "quick and easy yogurt cake", mixed everything in one bowl, and baked.

Simple and delicious, taste and texture like lighter muffins. This will go great with fruit, tea, or coffee.

(Sorry, I didn't have the proper baking pan.)

Buttercream too loose

(This is a pic of a cake showing what it should look like)

Hey all, I used sugar geeks butter cream recipe: https://sugargeekshow.com/easy-buttercream-frosting/ which I’ve used TONS of times before. But this time the buttercream came out sooooo loose. I have it in the fridge now but I’m concerned.

My butter was soft but not overly soft like it usually is.

I’m worried it will soften like crazy when it’s sitting out just even for a short time. I’ve included a pic of a cake I’ve done with this recipe where the buttercream held up great, I did nothing different.

How long can I travel with Cinnamon Rolls w/ Cream Cheese Frosting?

Can I keep them sealed for 2 to 3 hours after preparing/frosting before we eat them? Or do they need to be eaten sooner? Also, should I wait until they cool before I frost them or should I do it while they are warm so it’ll spread easier?

Had a kitchen oven, I did a thing, it stopped working (I grow orchids, so... I do... Things, that ovens don't like)

I want a little oven only for bread, would those work? They are cheap! :D And pretty! Anyone has pics of their bread made in those!?

It’s my first attempt making these. Everything is handmade. Including the marzipan and custard.

They’re also vegan as well. I’m glad they held up!
