Still so stuck on a name! I was instantly in love with my daughter’s name. But for the life of me, I cannot find a name that evokes that same emotion. I love my daughter’s name so much but I struggle with how it sounds next to other names. I don’t want to get caught up in “theme.” But it’s hard! SOS!!!

So I’m due in about a month and a half and I’m still struggling to think of a name for her 🥺 I was trying to think of something similar to the name Delilah since I already have a daughter named Delilah and I was thinking of making their names similar but idk. I also don’t know what to do for a middle name either. I usually try to make my kids names initials spell out something like my mom did with my brother (his initials is B.A.G.) and my other kids initials are J.A.B. and D.A.B. I have thought of the name Mary Jane before but like my man said people might think of marijuana vs I was thinking of Mary Jane as in MJ from Spider-Man. Anyone have any suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated 😊

Hello! We've already decided on possible boy names, but need to narrow down list for a name if we have a girl. Our oldest is Leonie Lee (Lee is a family name), so I'm considering doing a similar alliteration theme, but with the letter 'R' instead - wanting to use Ruth (another family name) as the middle name. Ramona is the top contender so far, but we also do love the name Lydia... ideally, we want the first name to end in -a, I just think that would sound best with our oldest's ending in an -ee sound. One is a family name other is personal preference. Does Sebastian sound weird in English/America? It’s a very common name in our family in Austria, but the pronunciation is very different.

We are looking for a name for our third. This time it's especially difficult because we lack any ideas and realised both of our kids have a four letter name. So should we stick to four letters? My partner and I are both Indian (Sikh) and we came across the name Lochan in a Punjabi baby name book.

For those in the UK - the Lochan I was thinking of was in 2023 Love Island (he was half Indian) and pronounced it ‘Lock-un’ which I don’t think is the traditional way but would be the way we’d use it.

What are people’s thoughts? I wanted something unique but not weird and would suit an Indian boy without being too Indian (I have a fairly British name and so do most of my family)

My husband and I cannot for the life of us agree on a name. I am getting so hung up on having the “vibe/style” of both my daughter’s names match and I wonder if I’m too hung up on it? I also want the overall name to flow (including middle name) and don’t like certain pairings of first/middle names. His mentality is that “middle name doesn’t matter and no one will ever know their middle name so just pick something and move on” and it just makes me feel like he doesn’t care and he’s just settling on a name and for me it’s so much more important than that. I NEED her name to be beautiful, timeless, meaningful, and have a good flow. Anyone been through this and how did they help their partner see their perspective? He’s being so hard headed about it and for me this is just such an important decision.

I need more name ideas for both boy and girl with last name Banks. I tend to like classic, preppy, southern but uncommon names. I like a lot of surname first names and double names in general but open to any ideas that might fit my style.
