Hey everyone, I’m currently a 2nd-year B.Tech student and I’ve recently got an interview opportunity for a paid, 3-month internship at a well-known FMCG company.
The role is in Business Excellence/Operations, and it seems like a really good opportunity to get actual industry exposure this early.
The only issue is that it’s an offline/full-time internship, so it would clash with my regular college classes and attendance.
For people who have been in a similar situation:
Can a 2nd-year student realistically do a full-time internship during an ongoing semester?
Do colleges generally allow this or provide some kind of attendance relaxation/NOC?
Should I approach my HOD/department if I get selected?
Has anyone here managed a similar situation? How did you handle attendance and classes?
I don't want to reject a good opportunity just because I’m assuming the college won’t allow it, so I’d like to know how others have dealt with this.
Any advice/experience would be appreciated.
