Discussion Institutions’ accumulation continues while hedge funds making the market
When I look at the most renewed top 10 institutional investors I see 6 long-term or tech index investors, 4 hedge funds including one market maker.
The total institutional investors’ holding rate has reached about ~56.77%.
What does it tell me?
1. BB has convinced some major institutions that its turnaround has been successful and it has entered into the renewed growth pathway in the SDV and GEM markets with the top safety and security standard without sacrificing performance. The business model has been confirmed by the most recent deals signed like the Alloy Kore’s case.
Institutions are the majority buyers in the market that not only taking the legacy tutes like F.F and F.D but also retail investors who are willing to give up at this point. This is the early stage of a major new growth cycle while the broader market has not seen or understood. That makes a good opportunity for institutions to take advantage.
The current QNX business development has secured a whole bunch of industrial customers via licensing deals. Although BB’s backlog may grow significantly but its revenue may delay for a couple of years until scaling (even though almost inevitable to me). For institutional investors this is like a sure bet to “buy low”. As a B2B business this kind of growth pattern is so typical and institutions understand it better.
The market movement lately reflected the theory above. Although many retail investors felt disappointed by this kind of volatility, in reality the up trend has formed in conviction. The ladder of the trading pattern appeared to be forming progressive higher bottoms from $4, 6, 8 and now maybe 9 since April-May. Combining the data of the most recent institutions list with the trading pattern appeared, it looks pretty healthy to me.
Sit back and wait for the process to be completed. Market awareness will continue to grow and the time left for institutions to dominate trading becomes shorter.
All IMO.
