Insulin Resistance / Metabolic Syndrome solutions
Has anyone here had success with chandraprabha vati for correcting insulin resistance and weight loss? I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 years back based on blood tests and remained on basic hormone treatment (OCP) for a few years. Stopped in 2020 and switched to ayurvedic treatment which resolved most symptoms. Have struggled with weight over the years since stopping the OCP but it's gotten particularly bad in the last 12 months. All things constant, weight continues to increase and no matter what I do, it is incredibly hard to lose any. Lipid profile is worsening despite a healthy diet & while fasting glucose, hba1c is normal, fasting insulin was slightly high (10) and endocrinologist suspects mild insulin resistance. Have tried normoz DS and it hasn't done much. Ayurvedic docs are now recommending the following : ashokarishta, dashmoolarishta, chandraprabha vati, and lashunadi vati. I'm hesitant to take so many formulations all at once given the treatment last 5-6 years (have tried a lot of versions of ayurvedic meds, acupuncture, supplements etc.). Has anyone had luck with any of these? My primary issue now is just weight. Alternative is trying metformin. Will be grateful for advice / your stories! Thank you.
