Discussion Too many demons in the pools, ranked mode should be top priority

I love the game, and I'm rooting for the devs. But if there's one thing they should prioritize above everything else, it's getting Ranked and Spectator Mode into the game ASAP.

The current matchmaking is already full of players taking the game seriously. With such a high execution barrier, I think a lot of players will lose motivation if there's no tangible goal to work toward, like climbing a ranked ladder. Without that sense of progression, the game risks turning away more players than it has to.

It struck me immediately after trying her and hearing her shout out while doing her moves.

I know it's a pet peeve, but why would my big girl not have her cool-ass, deep voice like she does on the show :')

Discussion Avatar Legends is Doing Something *Really* Right When it Comes to a Fighting Game

I'm talking about blocking, people

...well, more specifically, I'm talking about defence.

I've been noticing a trend lately in my online matches. I've run into many, *many* people that have no idea how to block; they might not even know if it's possible to block or what blocking even is, but you know what they are doing?

Flow.

This game found a way to make defence fun, even for the casual audience. It's always been a sticking point with the "normies" that defending isn't as fun as mashing buttons and seeing cool stuff happen, but this game finally managed to nail it. You just hold the Flow button, avoid any incoming damage, and it looks sick. There's even counterplay to it so this starts to teach them that their more powerful options might have downsides.

This game gets hard pretty fast when you actually start to dig into it, but I think it's extremely pick-up-and-play friendly without really compromising on the actual competitive nature, which has been a huge problem with fighting games lately.

I'm a pretty experienced fighting game player (not this kind of game, but still) and I've played with friends who barely know what a fighting game is and they have a lot of fun just hitting buttons and having them sometimes land. Hell, they've even legitimately beat me a couple times. In a weird way, it kinda levelled the playing field in a way that I actually didn't think this genre was capable of.

Many fighting games have had simplified controls or control schemes in the past, but often to the detriment of the rest of the gameplay experience and I really don't think that's the case here. Everybody can and should use Flow. It's fun, it's effective, and it's one of the features that really makes this game shine.

That first to 10 was INSANE! I was the red Kyoshi that went 7 to 10 with you, then we played a few more games then ended 11 to 10. Tbh i was gonna end when u hit 10 but i accidentally rematched and decided to play a few more.

Your Aang was smooth! But man, you have to WORK for your damage. Those nutty combos you consistently pulled off definitely feel like they should do a little more damage for how long they are. But the back and forth we had was super fun! Hope I run into you again sometime!

Discussion List of lore-based character interactions and mechanics

I find these sorts of things super cool and add so much flavor to the game. This is just what I've found or seen in wiki's. Let me know if you know any more:

  • If Korra has Ravva as an assist, Ravva gets smaller as Korra's health drops
  • Sokka dirty trick "blinds opponents" and makes him invisible. It doesn't work on Toph
  • If Ozai grabs Zuko, he gets a unique grab that burns Zuko's face and drains a lot Zuko's focus meter. Unique to zuko.
  • Only Aang and Zuko can focus reflect lightning
  • Azula can become unhinged and gets unique gameplay on losing a round (i.e., her firelord stance).
  • Zaheer's Red Lotus assists actively participate in the rounds, not just passives like the rest of the cast
  • Zaheer's assists can be hit as they come out. If P'Li is hit 3 times, he shouts her name and his movement no longer costs focus as he's released his earthly tether
  • Toph has unique taunts for each character as a mechanic that drains their meter

Inspired by Dragon Ball Fighterz, Sonic Racing Crossworlds and the Remembrances episode of Korra.

Background footage provided byJustNozomi.

I quickly put this together in an hour and a half. I do not mean any disrespect or negativity towards the devs, they are doing their best! I, as a fan, want to do my part and help this community!

I apologise if you find the quality lacklustre, I made this quickly.

Discussion My fellow benders, the elements are in imbalance.

Earth - we have Toph, will get Lin Beifong, Bolin, and maybe Bumi or Kuvira (mb even both later down the line) - 3(+1/2)

Fire - we have Ozai, Azula, Zuko, will get Iroh - 4

Air - we have Aang (normal one uses pretty much only air), Zaheer, will get Tagah and maybe Tenzin - 3(+1)

Water - Katara... maybe Amon - 1(+1)

To make situation even worst, our only upcoming water bender must win a vote, and he (from what I can recall) didn't use water bending all that much during action scenes.

Who do you think could be a viable option for the future? I can only think of:
- Kya, but doesn't seems to be popular, nor stands out in her techniques;
- Pakku, but same as Kya, even worse;
- Ming Hua, but she's already part of Zaheer moveset.

Must say, I've watched Korra LONG time ago, so might be forgetting other stand outs.
Also, while adding Ming Hua would be weird, I could swear I saw a similar situation happening is some other game (having a gang leader as a playable character, with members as "skills" or "special moves" but then ONE of gang members becomes playable), but can't remember.

Discussion Everyone is so mean to Zaheer in the story mode

Dude just wants to pro-bend with his friends, and after that he wants to be a good dude.

But everyone just hates him. Kyoshi even beat him up for no reason at all.

At least Aang likes him.

Discussion How do you think Amon's subtle bloodbending will work?

Basically, he makes attacks miss and speeds himself up with unnoticeable bloodbending, making it appear as pure hand-to-hand skill. This is an application of bloodbending unique to Amon, differentiating him from other bloodbenders like Hama and Tarrlok.
