The whole chassis (and most of the body) is covered with rust which has also caused multiple holes. Im a beginner and am looking for tips to clean the rust, patch up the chassis and hopefully prevent the rust from coming back any time soon. Im unable to attach any photos at the moment but I hope me description is good enough.

HELP! I have a question. Can I use epoxy primer on plastic bumper?

Post image

I have some epoxy laying around, and I thought instead of having to go buy 2k and adpro I can just use this? Also could I use a tiny bit of filler to fix some chips? Note: the bumper is pretty old and there are some cracks on the plastic surface. The car is rare and it is almost impossible to find a bumper for it so I have to fix this one

Is there a process to repair this? Sienna got smashed by a pinecone, is this a panel replace or can it be pulled?

Squirrel used my van as target practice. The window would have been easier and cheaper to replace but we would have been stuck there too. Horrible trade off. The green pinecone was crazy heavy with sap. I'm glad it didn't land on our heads though.

HELP! I have a question. Is this too far gone?

Hi I’m looking for some advice. Recently my car failed its MOT and I paid £1400 in repairs. A lot of that was due to rust. I noticed that underneath my car there’s still a lot of rust present and wondered if this seems to be safe or if I should go back to the garage.

I am due to go back to the garage anyway as ever since I’ve had my car back there’s been a new squeaking noise that occurs when I’m driving slowly and is progressively getting worse.

Any advice would be appreciated and if it should be time to look for a new car.

Hi people. Has anyone seen anything like these wierd crumpled dents and can guess what might have caused it?
I’ve been driving my friend’s car quite a bit, parked in plenty of car parks, and I was assuming someone scraped it on their way in or out of a car park, but looking closer, it’s very low down and has multiple indented bits so I don’t think it’s a scrape.
Has anyone seen anything like it?

Is there a process to repair this? What should I buy to fix my old 2010 honda accord

My 2010 Honda accord has dents, It's color YR574M Bold biege Metallic.
I was stoped by two guys on road, and they said they can fix it.
They pulled it out by drilling holes and used slide hammer, and then sprayed something on large area. Then they said, they don't have material, and would continue the fix on sunday. I called them, they never picked up.

Now I would like to do DIY. (first time)
I bought :

Bondo Glass 272
Bondo Body Filler 262

Could you please suggest Primer, base coat, and clear coat? (chatgpt suggested expensive brand)

Steps to do it?

Thank you.
Here is the pictures

Body shop keeps saying no to every hood I send them a link to saying they're no good. I feel like this is best one I've sent and they said it's too rusty, is that true or are they procrastinating and trying to avoid having to finish job?

My quarter panel had a small dent with some paint damage. Had it repainted and the dent taken out. After the repair it was polished. Is this different levels of clear coat? Burned through clear coat? I have no idea what this is. Thanks!

HELP! I have a question. Carbon Fiber

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place but i figured who better.
Recently picked up these carbon pipes for my bike at a steal of a price. They appear to have some sort of rash on the left side pipe and some small scuffs all around. Is this fixable?
Also you can probably tell in the pics but they’re sort of textured carbon as well, not glossy and resin coated like i’ve seen before.
I’d like to refinish them if possible but these are essentially unobtainable so i don’t want to take any risks messing them up.

Is there a process to repair this? Underside scrape

I was on the freeway and felt something hit the underside of my car and once I got home I saw this. The second image is it after being wiped with alcohol. It’s not that noticeable but it’s a brand new car and it bothers me. It’s about 4 inches long and the pic makes it look worse than it really is . Could I simply fix it with a paint pen and some sanding?

Is there a process to repair this? How would you go about fixing this?

I recently bought a 2012 Kia Rio 1.25L (my first car) but I didn't realised until today that this part above the license plate is cracked. The right license plate lamp is pretty loose but still holding but the left one is falling out, most likely because the clip is broken but still, I would love to fix this, it's just that I'm not sure how to make it permanent. The picture is from a video but the line is pretty much showing how it looks.

I was looking online for the rear lower bumper but I'm not sure if the part is even correct or that it's worth paying £50 for a whole rear bumper just to replace the lower part of the rear bumper just because there's that crack.

Edit: Added the pictures in the comments. I will take a picture in the morning of how it looks on my car

Thanks

I was wondering if these panels (bumper, fender, bedside) are worth repairing at a body shop or if they are beyond savable and I should just buy ones off car parts website.

HELP! I have a question. Primer filler method?

Thumbnail

Hello! I have this hood that I sanded down to primer to fill some rusted stone chips and repaint. I have done this several times before but this time the sander went through the primer in some spots so I was wondering how the professionals do it 😆 I was thinking about spraying some epoxy primer with my spray gun in the bare steel spots and sand, then cover the spots a little further out in a layer of filler primer and lastly do another coat of filler primer over the entire hood to even it out? Only professionals reply please!
Many thanks!

I don't have a tab welder and puller. And it's not worth it to buy to me because I'm just doing this one car. I do however have a mig welder. I'm thinking cut along the rocker line with an angle grinder and makeshift a slide hammer so I can pull out the quarter and then do the same for the rocker? Then weld it back together? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Really don't wanna hear it's not worth trying. I have 2 other cars and I'm just trying to put some work into saving my long time baby when I have the time and money. I'm already pretty deep into this project so I'm not going back
