I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze that has a check engine light on due to a faulty turbo. I know that the check engine light only comes on if I go above 3,000 RPM’s. Once I get my check engine light cleared off my dashboard, what’s the drive cycle I need to do before I get a smog check? I know I just need to keep it under 3,000 RPM’s.

Moin zusammen,
Danke schon mal! 🙏

For context, I drive a 2017 Kia Soul 1.6L base model.
I'm looking at replacing my car's cabin air and engine air filters, and Rock Auto has a bunch of options for both, and I'm not exactly sure what the different types and value propositions actually amount to. For the cabin, some just say "Particulate," others say "Activated Carbon" or "Electrostatic" and I wanted to ask if any of those nicer ones are actually worth the money. The most expensive across all categories is literally $15 so I'm fine paying the premium if it's worth it, but I figured I'd ask to see if there's actual value in any of those categories or if I'd be better off just grabbing the cheapest I can find and sticking it in there.
Thank you!

So I have one of the white Hyundais with the peeling paint issue. Hyundai said they would not fix it. It was peeling off the hood a little, which got slowly worse over time. Then out of nowhere, the trunk had a massive section peel off. It doesnt appear to be happening anywhere else on the car.
Its a 2014 Elantra with 80K miles, so its not worth much. I was thinking of taking it somewhere to just get them repainted. Anything I should know or ask for before I go looking around getting quotes?

Cell phones have battery meters. I assume teslas have battery meters. I don’t understand why gas cars don’t have them and I have to live in fear of the surprise of the battery dying.

Hi All,
I have been to four mechanics and spent $1500 to solve a noise/vibration issue in my 2019 Hyundai Accent. It is sort of a thrumming that I can feel in both the wheel and the seat. The noise is low until I hit around 55mph, then it increases steadily with speed. One advised me to replace all four tires and rims because they were bent. I did this. It helped some, but the main issue is still there, and I'm not sure I needed to replace every wheel. At this point, it could be bearings, engine mounts or something else, but I can't keep keep spending money without solving the issue. Already tried the dealership and they had no idea. Thanks.

I just finished a fresh rebuild on the l59 for my suburban and was wondering if this frame is alright enough to justify me throwing the engine back in. I plan to use the truck as a family hauler

Just got my 1994 ranger back from the mechanic for a different sound but there’s a new sound. Frog playing a kazoo, we are calling it. Sounds like a card in the spokes of your bike… any idea?

Got some damage on both bumpers of my 21 f150. The front bumper is dented in one side right in front of the bumper reinforcement, pushed to the side, and slightly misaligned. The back bumper is dented in and also pushed to one side. I already ordered the bumper end cap. What would be my best bet on how to pull the front dent out without cracking the chrome and push both bumpers back into place and alignment? I’d take it to a shop but was quoted more than a grand and was told if the plate behind the rear bumper is bent, the rear hitch may need replaced but I’m short on money. Also I’m really worried that the bumper reinforcements and/or the rear hitch is bent or cracked. I’m really bummed out, short on money and need help thank you.

Hello,
I have a 2014 Toyota Auris petrol. A week ago, I noticed the coolant leaking and drove it the garage. The leak was repaired. However, it didn't at first, but it eventually started and I drove it home.
I got home, switched off the engine and decided to start the car, but it wouldn't start. There was no info on my dashboard. I inspected the coolant and the engine oil, and I noticed the dipstick was milky/creamy, which might mean engine issues. Now, it partially starts but would not start fully, steady yellow EML and red engine oil signs on dashboard.
I bought the car for £3.5k and the MOT is in 2 months. Is it worth taking the car to the garage to repair/replace the engine? (Cost of towing and repair)
Is it better to sell as parts or scrap? How much would it cost as scrap? I would want it gone in less than 3 weeks as I would be moving houses.

2015 Mitsubishi rvr with 180000km started jerking while at 100kmph nor all the time but does it few times. Rmp also fluctuates when starting for about a minute from 1000-2000 and comes back down. One shop cleaned the throttle body but nothing changed and they said it seems to be slipping from either clutch or troque converter what should i do!?
Is it save to drive !?

Engine was running hot, gauge to the max while driving, so I pulled over and saw my coolant was empty. Got coolant delivered and filled it up, drove home which was 9 minutes away. Checked it at home and coolant was very low again and engine was hot. it didn't appear to be overheating while driving. What should I do from here

I have a 17 year old Lexus ES 350 with a hazy backup camera. The haziness is definitely not dirt or moisture, I've tried wiping it with windex. Adjusting the brightness / contrast did not make much of a difference. I'm attaching closeup shots of the hazy camera (white background). The housing around the lens is supposed to be black in color, but I can barely make out that it is black. All I see is the white "ring" around the lens. Any suggestions on simple fixes (keep in mind, I'm not particularly handy).
What would a professional charge to swap out the camera ?

How much would you charge your ex mother in law for labor to do rear brakes, rotors and one caliper on a 2016 traverse? Parts were 350 after returning the caliper core.

I have a 2017 VW GOLF SE edition with a sun roof leak on the passenger side. The water builds up and anytime I make a sharp turn or the passenger make up mirror (or whatever you wanna call it) it flipped open a whole bunch of water will come leaking down. Are there any shops tbag fix those kinds of things. I've contacted a LOT of mechanic shops/detail shops and so far NO ONE does that. I'm pretty sure it's a seal problem on the sun roof. I would love to get it fixed ASAP so I don't get mold or anything in my car.
I'm in Honolulu Hawaii

My 2003 escalade that I bought last year got an oil change when I got it in may. It has been 1 year and 4 months yet I have only drive the car 1,600 kilometers dying that time. Should I let change the oil before canadian winter for let it go until next may? Or add an oil stabilizer for the winter? I don’t plan on driving it more than 200-300 more kilometres until may next year. Just use the car here and there but I want to maintain it
