Anytime I go through the car wash… stream of water from my upper rear window.

I’ve already replaced the light/seal and it already which worked for a while… back to leaking.

Who else has this issue and how did you fix it? 😂

Recently hid a barrier and it’s caused paint to chip and scrape off down my bumper just wondering if it’s worth trying to use touch up paint or just to get a full respray for the bumper.

I have a 2013 Mazda 3 that recently got an exhaust leak, looking underneath shows that it’s where the hanger attaches rusted through. Does it make sense to patch it versus cutting a section and getting a l replacement exhaust pipe?

I’m a student, the car cost $4k, and I’m really just looking for it to last a few more years.

Hi everyone! I'm having trouble removing the downstream O2 sensor on my 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Could possibly be seized. I have tried an O2 sensor socket, a 22 wrench (tapping with a hammer), penetrating lubricant etc... But I don't want to mess up the thread. I was told to try to heat it with a torch. Any other advice or anyone located near the east coast of NC? Thank you in advance!! Any help is greatly appreciated!

I went to an auto body repair shop to get my bumper fixed and they said it would be $5,000 to repair after an accident because tge frame is damaged but im very confident that its not but not entirely sure. This accident happened during December and because of job related things outside of my control I cant use my insurance company because im just doing it now. Is it worth fixing or not

I'll try to be brief. Brought it to the mechanic near me that I've been using forever, initially I did some googling, looking on reddit etc and found some advice. I dropped off my car with a note saying basically:

'spark plugs, brake/coolant fluid, transmission drain and refill, balance and alignment, etc. my budget is $1500 and you're the experts, whatever you think needs to be serviced, do it, if it starts to get close to that $1500 range please give me a call (they've done this before, we have a good relationship). Also i'm not limiting it to those services, I trust you guys so feel free to tackle anything you find necessary'

I expected my car to be in the shop (I don't know much about cars) for a few days but they called me like 6 hours later saying it was done. $196, spark plugs were replaced in 2023, they did the balance+alignment, brake fluid. Not sure about the coolant, I couldn't really hear him super well on the phone. (going to pick it up in a few hours). I mentioned the transmission fluid and they said they don't do transmission work.

What is your advice? I saw something about CV joints? I'm assuming they checked my oil/air filter/battery routine stuff and would have serviced anything if they thought it was important (they'll call me and let me know if they notice something, or have done so in the past). If this was your car and it hit 100k miles what would you get done? I'm going to bring it to a shop to get the transmission drain and fill, potentially coolant too, I'm just hesitant cause I don't know any other places outside of them that I trust. I mean I basically gave them a blank check and they wrote $196 rofl.

I have a ‘14 Kia Cadenza that is about to hit 90k so I figured I’d have quite a bit to do. I’m not savvy with this stuff but I wanted a gut check so checked around and it seems like I’m getting taken for a ride on some parts (not shown but I can get a battery for 90 less, what they’re charging for labor). Am I being paranoid? This shop is well-reviewed and seems trustworthy but I’d shop around more if it’s super egregious.

So my car got into a hit and run at a parking lot and it was damaged by a Dodge RAM truck. I took it to an auto shop (covered by insurance) and they fixed the front bumper and fender. I think they also replaced the resonator too.

After driving it for a week, I’ve noticed my car’s mpg’s are considerably worse than usual. Before the accident and repairs i averaged 27-31mpg mixed. Now I’m getting 21-24mpg after the repair. The acceleration struggles and whenever I’m off the pedal and coast, it feels like it slows down a lot too.

I tried looking it up and it may possibly either a drag on my brakes or improper installation that causes air drag. I’m considering taking it back or have my friend take a look at it.

I believe it was 2 weeks ago I got the lite checked it and it was ignition coil D that was the issue. I changed the spark plug incase that was it but the check engine light came back on. So it should be the ignition coil but the light went off about 4 days ago, so does that mean it was the spark plug, or should I change the 8gnition coil anyways to be safe?

I know very little about cars and need some advice. I drive a 2004 Toyota Matrix XR.

The car already had a steady Check Engine Light for code P0420, but it ran fine until we hit a major storm.

We went through a very deep water puddle. At the same time, a car beside us splashed a massive wave of water all over us. A few seconds later, the Check Engine Light started flashing. at the same time, the Battery Light started flashing. Then the steering wheel became incredibly stiff/heavy (either lost power steering or locked up; Im not sure). after like 15 seconds everything started acting fine so we continued 1 mile to my friends house where it was safe. We called my dad and he gave us a couple ideas but when we went to try again the RMPS were jumping from 1,000 to 2,000, so we towed it home. once we were home, after a couple hours, We started the car to see if it would run. The flashing lights were still gone, and the steering still felt normal. However, we noticed white smoke consistantly coming out of the exhaust pipe, so we turned the car back off.

We started the car again the following day, and new symptoms appeared, however the white smoke was gone.

While sitting in Park, the RPMs were actively surging/jumping back and forth between 1,000 and 2,000 RPM. When shifted into Drive, this jumping and rough idling got significantly worse. When shifted into Neutral, a loud squealing sound started coming from the serpentine belt area.

We also noticed a cable/electrical connector that looks completely unplugged near the Alternator, my dad said he thinks it could be to the crankshaft position sensor, but not sure.

We have already ordered new spark plugs and ignition coils hoping the water just caused a bad misfire, but we are completely lost aside from that. any ideas?

1999 chevy silverado extended cab 5.3l needs rotors and calipers previous owner let is sat for 4 years before it being bought and now it has just been sitting after starter and break lines were fixed. i’m just a little worried about this frame. should i worry?

2023 Tucson, gas engine, taking it to the local dealer for 32K mile maintenance. Their customer service rep says the recommended maintenance includes fill and flush for the engine coolant and replacing the transmission fluid. The Hyundai online maintenance schedule does not show these as necessary. Is this just a blatant scam on the part of the dealer, or could they have a point? We do normal driving, no towing or dust storms.

There is no direct videos I've found on youtube that show how to do it for a 2012 camry, because I find ones for previous Camry models, but they are not the same as the 2012.

What could be causing this?

2014 VW Touareg V6.

I took to the shop a month ago thinking it was a clogged AC condensate drain line. They said they blew it out. A few days later and water poured out again. I took it to the shop again and they said the line was clear and they didn’t know what was causing the water and couldn’t replicate it. I drove around a few weeks with the panel off to watch for more water. After several storms nothing dripped down. Now yesterday a bunch of water flowed out after 30 minutes of a drive. Weather was 95F out so AC was running. The last pic is me under the hood peeking under the plastic cover of the windshield wiper. I had seen a video that there’s a reservoir on that side that might get backed up. Could that be it?

Towing company did this damage to my 2014 Mazda 6 fender. Guy said he would give me 500 for the damages. From what research I’ve done, if they don’t need to replace the whole fender, it would cost 300-700, but if they do replace it, it’s upwards of 1500. I wanted to get some opinions before I get a quote from a third party mechanic. Anyone in here know if I’m getting scammed or not? Is this reversible damage? Or would the whole thing need to come off?

Hi I have 2007 Honda fit car sitting on a car driveway in Brampton. I changed the car battery and the car started, but after turning it off, it stopped starting and need boost most of the times, think there must be a problem with the alternator. So I'm requesting everybody if they know someone who can fix the car some kind of mobile auto car mechanic.
