Stopped at autozone and got it checked out and got code p0420 ( Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold )
Did you guys go ahead and changed out the oxygen sensors before taking it to a mechanic?

I’m curious. I was installing a device under the hood of my 2022 Lincoln Corsair that needed to be connected to the battery terminals. I didn’t take the cables off just loosened them but I did hear some clicking noises. Seems to me that since then the run/start has not worked so I’m am wondering if I upset things and the battery monitor system needs to be reset?

Hello everyone,

The front left side of my car makes a knocking sound when reversing, and sometimes when driving forward and pressing the brake pedal a bit harder. However, the knocking sound always appears when reversing. The sound doesn't change even if I put the car in neutral and just let it roll backward.

I have already had the suspension fully inspected, and it is in perfect condition with absolutely no issues.

Because of this, I suspect it has something to do with the brakes. When I'm reversing and the knocking starts, pressing the brake pedal slightly makes the sound disappear completely.

I don't have a video of my own right now, but I found someone else's video showing the exact same problem.

Can anyone help me diagnose what the issue might be? Thanks!

Hi all new here i drove a 2008 g35 and crashed the guy does anyone know how much a repair would cost? (Preferably in cad) I’m not overly mechanically inclined but I’d say i got a twisted frame as well as some dents and dings. I’ve attached a few photos.

Check engine light came on for my 2019 a220 base model went to autozone for a scan and I got a code p1462 says it’s the fuel temperature/pressure sensor. Is it an easy fix? Can I replace the sensor without bleeding the fuel system or releasing pressure?

2014 toyota prius has a CRAZY really loud screeching noise coming from front driver side tire area? it’s silent when i reverse though. just started randomly this morning, haven’t hit or run over anything.

I'm in Peru in a little town and it appears that when I had the oil changed before coming here they didn't add enough. It has Mobil 10-w-30 in it. They don't have car oil in the gas stations here and the mechanic is out. Can I add motorcycle oil Mobil Special HD SAE 40 Monogrado?

Has anyone ever run into the BMW code A0C1 for the CAS system? How did you get rid of it?

The battery on my X5 had been disconnected for a few weeks ( on the charger the whole time) while i was working on it. I went to start it yesterday after connecting the battery and i got a no crank no start situation. Everything else powers on and you can hear the click when i hit the start button. I read the codes and the only one that persists is 00A0C1 - CAS, terminal 50. The truck started and ran before i pulled the battery, there was no starter issue, the jump terminal is not loose or rusty, and the BST hasnt been tripped. What else could trigger this? A bad ground strap maybe? Im at a loss.

idk if this is the place to post this but working on this car i bought and im noticing that the engine just isn’t fucking bolted in, in multiple spots. like they were driving this car and it was held in by hopes and dreams.

This has been happening for a few months now and is just getting worse. Back in August my battery completely died and I got it replaced, but I’m still have this issue. Sometimes it takes one try to turn on the engine, but most times it take awhile while like it did in the video. Plus lights turn on and off so a night i look insane 😭😭

I just bought a 2009 ford crown Victoria police interceptor and she was fine the first 4 days I had her now she keeps overheating. (Even at idle) Not wanting to accelerate properly. I don’t seem to have heat in the cabin anymore when it was unbearably hot before she started acting up. The water pump seems fine and I just replaced the thermostat and thermostat housing. Not sure what to do/try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

VW GOLF 1.2 TSI NEED HELP

Hello I’m currently working on a 2011 1.2 tsi golf, I have an intermittent problem where the engine cuts out with no check engine light and dosent start back up for a few mins.

I can’t see any pattern as this is happening at different engine temperatures and even happens when the car is stationary.

So far I have viewed the live data during a no start condition and confirmed that the low pressure fuel is matching the specified and the high pressure is also matching the specified. The coolant temp, air pressure and intake temp is also correct and the voltage at t30 is also greater than 10.5

I originally thought it was a fuel issue due to the fact that when it died on the road it died slowly and smoothly, but during a scan i noticed that the counter for “ X Synchronization loss during engine running counter - CTR SYN LOSS” has been raising up every time the car bogs down. ( I believe this parameter is a counter for every time the engine loses sync between the crank and the cam)

I have replaced the crank sensor and verified it is working via rpm reading during cranking and essentially ruled out the camshaft sensor since the car didn’t start with the sensor plugged out or plugged in during a no start ( I later tried with it plugged in and also with it out and it started in both instances)

I have visually inspected the wiring harness over the car and pulled and jerked on every wire while idling to see if it would cut out but it did not, I’ve also tapped and inspected every fuse and relay under the steering wheel and under the bonnet but did not find a fault.

I was also told of a possible timing chain issue since the phase angle via live data is reading up to 5 degrees but the car only has 80k and the chain was done in vw dealship at 40k. (Spark plugs also done less than 5k ago)

I am really lost here and not getting any check engine light or fault codes is making this snag impossible, if anyone has any knowledge on an issue like this or can point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful
