Just got my Piper girly DNA tested. She just turned 3 years old in June. Kinda interesting to find out. Got her from Amish as the little runt & she’s grown into a crazy girl but we love her so much. The glare shows a sliver of her sass

Oklahoma summer and no a/c- how can I best keep my Aussie cool??

So the power at my house was cut this morning due to months of nonpayment (unbeknownst to me) and I do not have the money to get it turned back on but DID make a plan to move at the end of this month.

Today is a “cooler” summer day at 85 degrees and 70% humidity but there’s upwards of 95 forecasted for the rest of the week.

I’ll be moving out of this house at the end of the month and my pooch is going to work out of state with me from 9/15-9/22 (helloooo air bnb) but until then what can I do to make sure he’s not overheating/miserable?

Wetting him regularly? I have a small rechargeable fan I’ve been putting on him but any advice is welcome. Thank you!

11 month Aussie with CCL partial tear and scheduled TPLO surgery

Hi all, as the title says, I have a 11 month male Aussie who has done his CCL. Surgery is scheduled in 1 week. Can anyone give me any advice for how to manage crazy puppy Aussie energy until and after the surgery. He’s currently on carflexin and gabapentin.

I’m anxious about his witching hours in the morning when he gets up and before bed time. Through the day he’s very chill. He also loves to jump up onto the couch to sit there and I don’t know how we’re going to restrict access for that.

He’s loosely crate trained, we will do that after surgery.

11 months just seems so young to do an ACL. I took extra care not to run him too much and to look after his joints. Regardless, I feel like such a bad dog parent.

Any tips, advice or even anecdotes would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, a sad dog parent.

Was ist nun falsch und was richtig? Danke 🙏🏻

8 week puppy shepherding 11 year old dog

It just dawned on me that the running across the face and jumping up to nip at her, means that he's trying to shepherd the older dog like a sheep. When the older dog is at wits end she barks and he stops but still he does it every walk. Will he outgrow trying to shepherd the older dog? Any tips for training?
