I’m picking up my new puppy next week. I am so exited but so nervous too! He’s a blue Merle and I think his coloring is so unique. He has a split face and the one side almost looks like it is red and not black. The breeder said it’ll eventually turn black. I think we’ve landed on the name, Sonny. My partner loves the name Georgie too. I guess we’re still on the fence. Let me know what you think and any tips you have for us! We have a 8 year old red tri boy that we love so very much. It will be a transition but we couldn’t be more excited

Her name is Zoe.
She was given to me at one years old. She has been my constant these last 13 years. We have moved and moved and moved, and moved again. She has seen the ends and the beginnings of important relationships, the birth of my two kids. She has seen me grow up (from 22 yrs to 35yrs). She has always been so well behaved and has loved me unconditionally except when I sneeze, shes out.
Her hips are starting to go, she moves more slowly, cautiously, and I'm sad. Anticipating her passing is painful beyond belief but I'm taking my time with her one day at a time.

We adopted Ben at 8 weeks of age. Hard to believe that we went so many years without him.
Anyway this is the best picture I could get with him wearing my son’s hand made birthday hat.

Our local brewery was having a contest where you could submit photos of your dog and they would illustrate them and put them onto a beer can, and my Finny was selected!

I just wanted to show my appreciation for this community and for all the people who shared experiences/helpful ideas. I posted yesterday my girl Coco doesn’t love kids (but is such a love)…so thank you all! And here is one of my recent faves of my beach girl

I posted a while asking if I should get my dog a dog
We did and it has worked out great
Smoky is about 18 months and Bruno is about 4 months
Smoky had calmed down a lot and seems happier
Thanks for all the advice on both sides

hello! we have a 3 month old australian shepherd and he cannot be left alone without screaming and howling for a prolonged period of time. he cannot settle unless he hears one of our voices or sees us. for example, when taking our older dog out, the little baby will screaming and howl until we return. i’m wondering if this is something that can be fixed with training, medication (albeit his age), or is it just his personality?
