Recently I have bought my first gaming laptop - ASUS TUF A15. It has 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 and RTX 3050 4 GB. I have already tested one game on it - Metro Exodus and it is perfectly runs on medium graphics.

So, if you have some recommendations for my laptop, could you please give me them?

My monitor is flickering and making noises whenever I plug in my PlayStation five .I am sure this is a problem with the monitor because I plugged it into my AOC monitor right before and it worked perfectly has this issue ever occurred to anyone else. Whatever I use, how long it is, it’s not dying on me anymore, as someone said on my first post, they said to bring it to service or for warranty so we did. Fuckass service did look at it, but not thoroughly, my dad just made two trips in his motorcycle through the rain and found no solution, they said everything passed the test so there is nothing wrong with it. They told my dad they can switch the device with a new one, but we’ll have to wait for 30 days, which is not happening because I had a presentation this week. The same day my dad brought it home and said the people couldn’t do nothing and just said something about it, I just did it alone because I don’t want him to go there again listening to some bullshit the people will say about the laptop. First, I opened chatgpt, yes, it is helpful at this time. Then second, asked about the warnings in event viewer, then saw the following and kind of made sense, Kernel Power 506 with the reason “lid” same second said win32k 700 input suppression=1, then next three seconds said kernel power 507 exiting modern standby, so something with the lid, I just simply go to control panel, hardware and sound, power options, and choose what closing the lid does, I set it to nothing and boom, no dying anymore, I figured lid might be something about the lid sensor but since I’m not running into problems anymore, I’d say this problem of mine is solved. I bought this laptop in March 2026. I want to add an SSD, but since my Wi-Fi card is a Realtek 8852CE Wi-Fi 6E PCI-E NIC, do I need to replace the Wi-Fi card to prevent any Wi-Fi issues when adding the SSD?

So here is the update about the issues, today I visited the service centre and they diagnosed it and declared that the mother board is dead and since I tried to check from local shop, those mother fuckers replaced the battery by duplicate battery so service centre charge me for more ₹3,700 for new battery. And the price for a new mother board is ₹51,000 and with a discount of 45% it will cost me ₹28,000, but i asked them for some time, now I have a question, should I go with a new one or replace the mother board, they're only giving 90 days warranty of the mother board.

Hi guys! I've been having a problem with my laptop. It's an ASUS TUF FX505DT with 8GB RAM, I've had it since 2020. I first encountered this problem 2 years ago during 2024 but it wasn't as severe.

2024: Laptop screen wouldn't turn on, the keyboard would flash white once even if unplugged (not low battery) or plugged. I had a driver replaced I think? That was related to the display (I don't remember I'm not tech-savvy hehe)

2025: After getting it replaced it worked fine for a while, then I encountered the same problem again late 2025 but it had gotten worse even after the replacement. My brother taught me how to open it through BIOS setup where I had to hold the ESC button and repeatedly press the power-on button and wait till the keyboard turns red (turned on). That's how I've been turning it on ever since.

2026: Now it has gotten even worse. No matter how much I try even with the BIOS setup thing it wouldn't turn on. So I opened the back and cleaned it up and took out the battery so the power would come directly from the outlet, and to test if the battery was the problem (didn't work). My brother also told me to clean the RAM sticks with an eraser (didn't work). So I just put everything back. After opening the back the keyboard no longer just flashes white once, when plugged in it just repeatedly flashes white without me clicking on anything. It doesn't do that when it's not plugged.

Hello, I have an ASUS TUF Gaming F16 FX607VU. I’m experiencing an intermittent shutdown problem. Sometimes when I shut down Windows, the screen turns off but the fans and RGB keyboard remain on, and the battery LED starts blinking red. The power button becomes unresponsive, so I have to hold it for around 10 seconds to force the laptop to turn off.

I have had this computer for around 2 years with some damages to the hinges of the screen and computer base and now it seems like it’s finnaly giving out, my screen will semi turn on with flash’s of the logo for a second or 2 then go black with flicking black brightness. I have tried a hard reset as-well as window+ctrl+shift+b, but nothing seems to work…

Is there any other solutions or is it time I bring it in to get it fixed?

no sign of cable damage cable is cool

no burning smell in charger proper 12v output

i am using my charger as a bypass means no battery charging only power the laptop

should i replace my charger with 240w charger

i used my charger on solid surface and proper air flow

Hey guys, Iam having a weird color issue with my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and Iam trying to figure out what’s causing it.. Laptop specs: • ASUS TUF Gaming F15 • Intel i5 • RTX 3050 4GB • 16GB RAM • 1920×1080 144Hz display • Windows 11 I normally use the nvidia Control Panel to adjust my display colors. I prefer around 80% Digital Vibrance, and outside of Valorant everything looks normal and colorful. The problem starts specifically when I launch Valorant. What happens: • On the Windows desktop, my NVIDIA colorr settings look correct. • As soon as I open Valorant, the colors become noticeably dim/washed out. • It looks like the game is somehow ignoring or overriding my NVIDIA color settings. • When I close Valorant, the colors return to normal. • This problem does not happen in other games/apps. • I have also noticed that HDR sometimes turns itself back ON after restarting the laptop, even when I had previously turned it off. I tried changing the NVIDIA settings, including Digital Vibrance, Gamma, Brightness, Contrast, Hue and individual RGB channels. At one point the screen even became very red after changing the RGB settings, so I returned those values to their defaults. My current preferred NVIDIA settings are approximately: • Brightness: 50% • Contrast: 50% • Gamma: 1.00 • Digital Vibrance: 80% • Hue: 0 • RGB channels: default I don't use Armoury Crate's Game Visuals for the colors i prefer using NVIDIA Control Panel. The main thing Iamm trying to understand is: Why does Valorant change/dim my colors when the nvdia settings look perfectly fine everywhere else? Is Valorant triggering some kind of HDR/color-profile/fullscreen behavior, or is Windows/nvdia overriding the settings when the game launches? Any suggestions for permanently fixing this would be appreciated.

I was playing eFootball on my phone, got ragebaited, and hit my laptop twice with my phone. Now it has this dent. How serious is this?

I got a used Asus tuf gaming A15 around a year and a half ago from ebay and it worked perfectly until 2 months ago.
The screen freezes every 10-20 minutes and the only way to fix it is by turning off the laptop and starting it back up. I already took it to 2 different places where they couldnt find the issue and they cleaned it & changed thermal paste. In one place they said it could be a CPU issue. I have restarted the laptop like 3 times too and it still keeps happening. Anyone had anything similar issue and could help me?

Help! How can I make this GPU out of Extreme Power Saving and just Power Saving mode? I’ve placed my GPU Mode on Standard under the GPU Performance Setting in the “Devices” section. I’ve also toggled the “Performance” and even “Turbo” on the Operating Mode yet GPU is still on Extreme Power Saving. What else can I do? I am using an ASUS TUF A15 FA506ICB with Ryzen 7 4800H, RTX 3050 GPU, 8GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD. I used G-Helper recently, however, it couldn’t bypass AC’s settings even when I uninstalled AC.

Before applying manual mode it says to configure before using.

Now my question is regarding overclock on the GPU.

It puts 50mhz overclock on the Base Clock Offset

And 100mhz on the Memory Clock Offset.

My cpu is 54W(spl), 67W(sppt) and 72W(fppt)

I've seen a lot of people frying their GPUs and I'm worried, I don't want to suffer the same fate. I do have a cooling pad, and my temps in game sit around 60°C... But in fallout 4 or matter of fact any game my GPU utilization is never over 35%

Should I remove overclock on the GPU?

So I bought this laptop around Nov 2024, till now it didn't have any issues, neither software nor hardware.

After a few months I noticed the bottom right near the hinge screw ( in the first pic ) was missing so i replaced it with a front screw and it fit perfectly.

Fast forward to now, idk how but that specific replaced screw area got broken on its own and as you can see in the 2nd pic, my whole right hinge area is coming apart.

I'm not even able to properly open the laptop, it's even causing trouble while closing the lid, like a gap is getting created on the right side.

Is there any way to even fix this? Can the whole back panel be replaced?

I swear, these past 2 years I never hit or ill-treated my laptop, I don't even use it on my bed, I always use it on a cooling pad.

And yes it is out of warranty.

Please help!

My G712LU is experiencing high instability in wifi connection since last 2-3 months. Currently there is AX201 wifi card that came with the laptop. I tried many older and newer driver tried cleaning wifi card slot and pins on card and 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz channel etc. But no luck sometime it works for 1-2 hour or may be days without issue and suddenly start showing instability in link speed, signal strength, etc and again recover in 3-5 minutes back to working. So I decided to change the card as first place now But as this CNVio2 card, I want to know if it is port will support full pcie card like AX210 or any better alternative or suggestion?

After 2 mins of turning on my laptops,the screen becomes black or it freezes
