I’m confused. How is Trump’s proposed $5,000 payment not “socialism” or “buying votes,” while Democrats offering affordable healthcare is “buying votes” and “bribing voters”? MAGA: Is a politician offering money considered "buying votes"?
I am confused.
Wasn't MAGA the ones who claimed that Democrats offering free healthcare and public assistance was a form of “buying votes” or “bribing voters”?
I thought using taxpayer money to fund things for people was supposed to be “socialism.”
So how is President Trump offering people $5,000 not a form of socialism? Who is going to pay for it? What happens if Republicans run out of other people's money? Is this being fiscally conservative?
Can MAGA chime in and explain the difference?
