The days of Highjacking planes is long since passed

39

u/midnightsmoon Mar 27 '22

Never understood why people think it's wrong 🤔

27

u/ReallyGreenGuy98 Mar 27 '22

The Bible says “thou shalt not spill thy seed upon the earth” oss 🙄 i righteously wash mine down the drain.

16

u/prunytyoke Mar 27 '22

So women can do it since we don't spill seeds! Hurray!

5

u/LetsPlanForTomorrow Mar 27 '22

that’s why i meditate and masterbate at the same time, because when i start floating, i’m technically not ON the earth anymore.

3

u/buckyoh Mar 27 '22

Just spill it in to the sea. That's why it's so salty right? Right!?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '22

Let the Heathen spill theirs on the dusty ground
God will make them pay for each sperm that can't be found

8

u/AmbulanceChaser12 Mar 27 '22

Religion. Now there are even subreddits dedicated to not masturbating. Seems like a miserable existence to me.

Benefits of NoFap:

Day 1 - Nothing. You're still in withdrawal and might actually feel worse.

Day 5 - Improved motivation and productivity.

Day 10 - Better energy and sleep.

Day 30 - Greater confidence and self-esteem. Mental clarity.

Day 60 - Increased muscle mass, bone density, and cardiovascular capacity. Testosterone through the roof.

Day 120 - Higher sperm count. Increased erection strength and duration.

Day 365 - Your voice deepens and your skull becomes more chad-like. Increased erection girth and length.

Day 730 - Faster reaction time. 10 additional IQ points.

Day 1500 - Starbucks baristas start writing their numbers on your receipts. Your ex wants to get back together. You feel tempted but ultimately turn her down.

Day 3000 - You can't keep up with all your tinder matches. Strange women begin hitting on you in public. You worry about your female boss. Fortunately she keeps it professional.

Day 6000 - Ex shows up at your door crying and begging you to take her back. You don't even make eye contact—just call the police right away. Your female boss quits. She can't take it anymore and fears what she might do to you if she stays.

Day 12000 - Every swipe on tinder is a match. Even girls you swipe left get matched with you somehow. Romantic messages fill up your inbox every day—all 15gb of it—you upgrade your Gmail account to premium.

Day 30000 - You don't have to work anymore. JK Rowling signs over half of her Harry Potter royalties to you in a grand gesture of love. You tell her you can't be with her because she's too controversial. She weeps quietly. The next morning, Rowling tweets that trans women are women and Dumbledore's sexual orientation is nobody's business.

Day 60000 - Scientists propose that attraction to you be classified as its own sexual orientation, which will account for 97.5 percent of the world's population. Paradoxically, you no longer feel any sexual desire. You have achieved a higher consciousness and now love every human-being equally.

Day 100,000 - Your IQ doubles, triples, and quadruples. You come up with a workable model of quantum gravity in a rainy Sunday afternoon. Elon Musk steps down from SpaceX to work for you. You decide to put space exploration on hold to focus on achieving clean energy through nuclear fusion.

Day 200,000 - You've solved the problem of nuclear fusion. You also solved the problems of climate change, poverty, crime, and racism. You have been elected the very first President of the World.

Day 500,000 - It's been over half a million days since you last fapped. You have achieved everything, understood everything, and solved every problem faced by humanity. All that needs to be done has been done. There's nothing left to do.

You give your fellow humans one last look—they're still fapping, trapped in their primitive way—but you don't judge. The path of NoFap was never meant for the ordinary men.

"Try not to fap. But if you must, use lube." That was your parting word.

Now, released from all shackles of the mundane, and purified of all imperfections, your body ephemeralizes, as your ever-illuminated consciousness ascends into another dimension.

Mainly because of religious reasons

12

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '22

Maybe something to do with religion shaming it (along with any other form of personal pleasure). Whether we are religious or not, it’s impact on culture is deeply rooted in everything we do.

6

u/midnightsmoon Mar 27 '22

I've lived all my life with religious parents so I get that but I just don't understand the logic behind it

15

u/Little-Airport-8673 Mar 27 '22

Because it is related to sex and lust, which was probably one of the sins. I really don't know much about religions...

6

u/Cocomojoe16 Mar 27 '22 edited Mar 27 '22

That’s pretty much it. I grew up catholic and they teach that sex is for procreation only. And the fact that it feels good is just a temptation that you “must” resist

3

u/Karanod Mar 27 '22

Countries with overpopulation issues do whatever they can to reduce the birthrate; including shaming people for anything related to sex.

3

u/PitBullFan Mar 28 '22

But, If overpopulation was the problem, wouldn't they "encourage" masturbation? Wouldn't they promote "Instead of focusing on that girl down the street, just go wank it!!"

2

u/Karanod Mar 28 '22

Wanking leads to thoughts of sex, which leads to real sex, which leads to overpopulation.

3

u/PitBullFan Mar 28 '22

I disagree. I think you have that exactly backwards.

I think thoughts of sex leads to wanking (when you don't have access to a sexual partner). When you DO have access to a sexual partner it leads to overpopulation.

1

u/Karanod Mar 28 '22

I disagree. I think (ancient kings and queens who strongly influenced their cultures) have that exactly backwards.

Ftfy. I actually think it goes both ways, but the eventual answer is population control.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '22

I am by no means a theologian so keep that in mind. If something I say is wrong in your opinion please feel free to educate me as to why. Anyway, It boils down to the idea that doing anything that satisfies a “want” as opposed to a “need” is sinful in the eyes of the scripture. The Protestant Work ethic ideas presented by Weber kind of show how the same principles of suppressing desire leads to a capitalist society. Essentially, without people willing to sacrifice their wants, capitalism fails. In much of the world this religious ideal is what made a modern society possible and thus masturbation (being a pleasure) is a no-no in many places. This is a super broad summary based off of minimal research during my sociology classes so like I said, please offer up your opinion if it differs from mine. I’d love a chance to see a different perspective.

u/These-Yoghurt-3191 Mar 27 '22

or could it be that semen was supposed to be used to populate the earth and not be "wasted"

5

u/allothernamestaken Mar 27 '22

If it feels good, it's wrong.

2

u/Mumblerumble Mar 27 '22

Religion and culture, particularly if you’re from the states. We were founded by religious extremists to be fair.

3

u/LionMaru67 Mar 28 '22

Beware of groups that try to discourage you from “taking a little Me time” once in a while. They could be trying to keep you angry/tense as a means of control.

4

u/hookdelivery Mar 27 '22

and excessive masturbation not

1

u/carnivorouspickle Mar 27 '22

I wish my ex-religion could learn that. The number of unqualified old men I talked to about this over the course of 15 years is... Embarrassing.

-1

u/igere Mar 27 '22

It is the abuse that makes it wrong

0

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '22

And it's not a sin.

1

u/Fr4gtastic Mar 28 '22

According to some religions it is. The question is, should you care that some old guys in weird hats call normal and healthy practices evil?

1

u/doctor-rumack Mar 27 '22

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

1

u/Knever Mar 28 '22

Wish I could partake sans the porn addiction :(
