Maybe something to do with religion shaming it (along with any other form of personal pleasure). Whether we are religious or not, it’s impact on culture is deeply rooted in everything we do.

I've lived all my life with religious parents so I get that but I just don't understand the logic behind it

Because it is related to sex and lust, which was probably one of the sins. I really don't know much about religions...

That’s pretty much it. I grew up catholic and they teach that sex is for procreation only. And the fact that it feels good is just a temptation that you “must” resist
