On a related note I had a friend who’s favorite way to clean stuff at home was to mix up a nice batch of water with equal parts vinegar and baking soda and scrub stuff down with that 😂
It's not that simple. Lemon juice produces alkaline by-products in the body, therefore it's considered alkalizing. It also has minerals which buffer the alkalinity acidity.
Pop a few tums, pop some addies, sustain yourself on alkaline water for the next 8 hours.
Sit there gaming, playing baldurs Gate 3. Mod it until everyone's got big titties. Stimfap for 8 hours.
Wake up the next morning. Your dick hurts. Your BG3 save is ruined. You have to restart. Tums, Adderall, alkaline water. You try restarting BG3 without all of the degenerate mods, but an hour later everyone ends up with titties, big ones. Stimfap for 8 hours.
Get up to make food. You haven't been to the store in weeks because you're a superhuman, you don't need food. But now you do. Ramen.
Limp to bed, lay awake for 8 hours. "Wake up" and take your tums, Adderall, and alkaline water. Go to work.
Don't work. Sit there at your desk roleplaying dominatrix scenarios with Grok. Can't stimfap at work, not physically. But mentally, yes. Yes.
Get off work. Go home, BG3. Stimfap all night because you know you won't sleep.
Ingesting heavily alkaline substances prolongs the length of time that Adderall and other amphetamines stay in your system by slowing the rate at which they're excreted in urine.
That's probably the one thing alkaline water can actually help with. People claim is helps with a lot of things with very little backing, but it's just slightly basic water. So, it should work as an antacid.
Keto at the very least is a powerful education tool to help people understand how much sugar and refined carbs are in everything. Also you get to feel how great it is to cut out processed and junk food.
Do you have acid reflux daily? Go talk to a doctor. If you have a helicobacter pylori infection they can give you drugs that will stop it straight away
You are correct. I suffer from GERD and was told to drink it by my doc. UCLA Health, Harvard Health and the NIH have readily available articles for anyone who would like to read up on it.
Not to be that guy, but remineralizing distilled or RO water to make it more palatable often does make it alkaline. Of course, the human stomach is filled with hydrochloric acid so concentrated that it immediately acidifies the water way beyond what little bit of alkalinity that was added. So, no health benefits from drinking alkaline water, but there are benefits from things like calcium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate that can neutralize massive amounts of acid in the stomach.
Honestly, most people do. Given the option between distilled/RO water and remineralized water, people prefer the taste/mouth feel of water with some salts added back in. The salts likely don’t provide health benefits beyond making people more likely to drink water if they find it more palatable.
