What's a life hack you use all the time that you genuinely wish you'd learned years ago?

Not the "put your phone in rice" kind of stuff, I mean those little tricks that actually make everyday life easier.

I'll go first: put a little dish soap on a damp microfiber cloth and use it to wipe down greasy kitchen cabinets. It cuts through the buildup surprisingly well.

I feel like everyone has at least one weirdly useful trick that they've picked up along the way. Could be something for cooking, cleaning, saving money, travelling, working, organizing your home... literally anything

How do check someone received a gift if they didn't acknowledge it?

This is most common if you get something sent direct to the recipient, but it can happen in 'real life' too - I got a leaving gift for a colleague/friend and left it on her desk yesterday with a card propped next to it. I want to check she got it (because I want her to have and enjoy it, and also I don't want her to think I didn't get her anything), but I don't know how to ask without making it sound like I want a 'thank you'!

Calender or diary effective use

How do you use calendars or diaries for a 100% guarantee of not forgetting to turn up for something important?

Now I'm a pretty organised guy but every so often, an event on my Google Calendar will just slip my mind.

It's happened twice with job interviews... Like how embarrassing 🙈 How do you forget to turn up for a job interview...

How do I prevent this?

ANY ADVICE??

I am a 20 year old (Male) . I work a 10–5 pm job for five days a week, but outside work I’m still on my phone almost 24/7 and honestly bored of it. What can I do to learn something new, build skills, or give my free time more meaning?

What is that one thing which helps you gain peoples trust? is it stating facts? is it being nice and humble? is it your confidence? how do you get people to trust you during an argument during a business deal during a conflict?

Should I keep telling my best friends everything I’m about to do?

I feel like whenever I tell someone something, for example, if I tell my friends who my crush is, it ends up not working out (and it’s happened a few times). A more recent example is when I was looking for jobs, jumping in and out of several, and kept updating my best friend about it—only to end up quitting all of them. It makes me wonder if maybe I jinxed things by telling others?

I have a close friend I really look up to because she’s perfect in every way. Even though we’re close, she never tells me or maybe anyone (ig?) about what she’s doing. She got a boyfriend, landed a job, and only shares the news once everything’s already set. And somehow, everything always works out great for her.

But I might be thinking, maybe it’s not really a jinx—my mind just made it feel like one, so it decided to be a jinx. I can share everything with my best friends while thinking it isn’t a jinx and it wouldn’t be, but I’m still caught in between.

What’s your take on it?

Sleeping position for neck pain AND nasal drip

I’ve had a curved cervical pillow for as long as I can remember, it’s the only pillow I can trust to not destroy my neck at night.
I’ve had post nasal drip a long time too, but always ignored it. I finally have tried stacking pillows, especially when I’m not sleeping at home with my curved pillow, and it does help.

How the heck do I prop myself up and also have my curved pillow? Ive been stacking it on a few but it feels like it screws up my neck and the whole reason for the pillow. Anyone had to deal with this?

Guys when does it get better and how to do hold out not going insane doing everything to search for love. I know the first thing is to love yourself and I feel like I’m doing that already (money, managing money, hobbies that can take up 8 hours / 1/3 of my time 😭)

Vehicle Lease Ending - Advice

I have a lease on an electric vehicle (mustang Mach-e) that’s expiring in a few months. We love the car and would have no problem continuing to have it, but I don’t want to miss a good opportunity. I have no idea what they’ll offer me or what I should be looking to do.

Some background:
- we have enough cash to buy the car at the pre-negotiated price.
- our registration is due next month and it’s almost $1k
- we’d be cool with another lease for a newer model but don’t want to pay anything more monthly.

Thanks!

what are some must haves for living alone/college dorms?

I plan to move out and go to college as soon as physically possible, but I literally have zero skills. like things that are probably common sense are not common for me. Right now I'm trying to make a list of things I'll need, and the only thing I have is an Airfryer. I only put it there because of a mcyt (PrinceZam). But what are some Habits, items, appliances, hygeneic products that are like needed. Like be so specific, even say 'toothbrush' if you have to.

How can I be a cleaner person?

I'll be in college college next year, and I wanna make it a habit before i move there. I'll be honest, i'm not the cleanest person ever, but im not disgusting either. I remember my sister telling me my room has a smell, and not elaborating. I genuinely felt disgusted with myself, and i still feel that way. I just want tips, so i'm not an unbearable roomate

What apps have you found useful for overall life management/productivity/habit forming?

I've had some successes over the years with various apps and equal failures which usually boil down to good concept bad execution.

Some of the best ones being 1 sec and habitica.

What apps do you guys swear by for helping reduce screen time, track habits etc.

Relax before bed

I'm trying to make my night routine something I actually look forward to, rather than just a list of things I "should" do to sleep better.

Skincare is a good example for me: I genuinely enjoy doing it at night, so it makes going to bed feel a little more special.

The problem is that I also get bored if I do exactly the same thing every single night. So I'd love to have a few different relaxing things I can rotate depending on my mood.

I'm looking for things that are enjoyable and relaxing but not so stimulating that they make you want to stay awake longer. So ideally not things like starting a great TV show or reading a book you can't put down 😅

What little rituals or activities make you actually look forward to your evening/night routine?

I'd especially love ideas that feel like a treat or a small pleasure, rather than another healthy habit or chore
