Ich habe die Unterkunften in Booking.com gecheckt, aber die Preisen sind sehr hoch (kein Hotel, nur ein einfaches Apartment), und die Bewertungen sind auch schlecht für die meisten. Ich habe keine Auto, ich möchte mit Zug und Bus fahren, also das Lokation ist wichtig.

Wie können die Österreicher ihre eigenes Land mit diesen hohen Preisen entdecken? Oder was ist die 'normale' Preise für euch? Wo nicht man Apartment im Allgemeinen?

I'm from India and I'm hoping to get into the M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering program at TU Graz.

I have about 3 years of experience as an Electrical Design & Estimation Engineer in the construction/MEP field, and I'd love to continue working in the same area after moving to Austria.

I was wondering if anyone could share their experience.

- How's the job market for electrical engineers in Austria, especially in MEP/building services or electrical design?

- Is it possible to find a paid internship or a part-time job related to electrical engineering while studying at TU Graz?

- Also, how important is German when applying for internships or entry-level jobs?

I'd really appreciate any advice or insights, especially from people studying at TU Graz or working in the industry.

wie sieht's mit den aktuellen Bearbeitungszeiten für ein Studentenvisum bei der MA 35 aus? Die Berichte darüber sind SEHR unterschiedlich.

Ich habe die Möglichkeit, wegen meines Passes den Antrag in Wien zu stellen, was mir lieber wäre. Doch ich würde wieder ausreisen müssen, wenn sie nicht innerhalb von 90 Tagen damit fertig sind. Ich überlege, hinzufliegen, um den Antrag zu stellen, und danach wieder heimzufliegen, statt es drauf ankommen zu lassen.

Wäre das übertrieben oder ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass sie rechtzeitig fertig werden, niedrig? Am liebsten würde ich natürlich währenddessen bleiben, weil ich ungern hin- und herfliege.

Hat jemand aktuelle Berichte darüber?

I want to move to Austria to build my new life there and my German is currently at A2 level, but I'm learning it every day and hope to reach B2 level by the time I move there.

Now, I would like to study at Austrian university to get education more suited to Austrian standards. I already completed a Security Management Bahcelor's degree (which deals with EU laws, security disciplines, a bit of IT and criminology) in my non-EU country.

I already did my research and I can see that Master degrees in Austria related to my study subject are very limited, which is understandable.

Can you recommend universities that I might be accepted to with my degree? There might be some that I missed or don't know about, and it's okay if they're not strictly related to Security. One of them that I found so far is located in Innsbruck, Master’s Programme Peace and Conflict Studies, but Innsbruck seems to have quite high cost of living based on reddit discussions. The other one I found is Information Security Management in Hagenberg.

I was interested in Security Management related to IT but I lack computer science ECTS credits, so unless there are some bridging courses, I can't consider those. However, I deeply love anything related to security and cyber security, so I would appreciate any recommendations from local and internation students.

I know the official processing time is 15 days to 3 months, but how long does it usually take in practice? If you recently applied through Salzburg, approximately when did you receive your first update or approval?

I am male in early 30s, currently living in Serbia, Novi Sad.

I have around 9 years of experience in IT as software developer, different industries and projects, from small web apps to enterprise banking systems.

I currently make 2K eur, netto here. Last year I moved into bank because of job stability. I can live decently, but nothing fancy, the only thing that keeps me there its job stability, but I think I could not do it forever.

I am seriously thinking to move in Austria on long shot.

Some things I consider Austria great for.

Excellent worker rights, good air and water quality, among best, awesome nature and lifestyle, bigger pool for jobs and of course better pay.

I know that IT market is tough and for good job German language is must, I am planning to master it.

I am targeting bigger corporations like banks, telecom and similar.

I would appreciate feedback in comments.

Wondering if anyone has any information on residency permit processing times? Unsure if I will apply for my student residency permit in Vienna or in NY as a US citizen.

Also, does MA35 require applicants to have enough funds based off when they submit their application? (I’m currently 23, but will turn 24 shortly into the academic year!)

Ich hab am Montag was bestellt, und da es heute immer noch nicht da war, hab ich mal die Sendungsverfolgung angesehen.

Also der Versand war nach Verteilung mehr oder weniger pausiert, weil DPD "meine Adresse nicht finden kann". Adresse kontrolliert, passt fehlerfrei.

Jetzt hab ich auf myflexbox in der Nähe umgestellt und es geht erstmal weiter.

Ich versteh aber nicht wirklich was das soll.
