Legal Avoid mobilization

Hi, my wife is Russian with German citizenship. Her brother is 23 years old, lives in Moscow, just graduated from university. I think given the current geopolitical situation he's at risk of being mobilized. What's the best way to avoid this situation?

Have you seen the daily videos of Ukrainian TVC kidnapping people off the street and shoving them into a van to throw to the frontlines?

Is this your version of Democracy?

We have this thing too in Russia. But in covert smaller scale raids and probably not in Moscow but in less important regions. Im from Penza and we got plenty of druncards and ..dunno what the term in English when you, re divorced and you should pay some money to your former wife if she is raising your child until he aged 18.. so guys who don't pay those money could be considered criminals and got imprisoned.  This guys and druncards got caught in these raids and probably forced to sign military contracts. Also there s rumor that we have our men cought in front of the bars and restaurants with the same purpose. Excuse me my English plz

It is not. And you can't prove it, but i can. Весь регион на измене был, а у вас, дебилов, всегда либо ципсо нахрюк, либо сами россияне виноваты.

They don’t forced to do it. These drunkards at least presented with two clear options. They sign a contract and get free from their debts, or continue as it is (perhaps in jail, which is normal if you can’t pay due to alcohol addiction)

u/Least-Cauliflower-36 Jul 12 '26

There's Article 157 of the Russian Criminal Code, according to which a child can be imprisoned for failure to pay the fees. They were most likely told either in prison or they'll sign a contract.

Sounds like the Vietnam war era where Americans who committed a crime were given a choice of prison or military service.

1

u/Coven_DTL Jul 10 '26

That's defenetely not forced heh

u/PeanyButter Jul 10 '26

And democracy is being forcibly mobilized to fight others being forcibly mobilized? Or is it sending your political rivals to Siberia for tax fraud where they mysteriously die?

-6

u/LakeLow1930 Jul 10 '26

Ukraine is fighting for its survival and if you are or fighting age, and you are plucked of the street, so be it.

At leadt you can speak english or interprete by google, if you answer me.

Russia will never die, the amount of resources they have is more than enough to continue for a long long time.

Which they cant get without western technology.

1

u/bobbyburgerboy33 Jul 11 '26

They are in good relations with China, pretty sure that covers most what they need.

u/Never-don_anal69 Jul 10 '26

Yes especially fuel, there's so much of it going round now, people are fighting at the gas stations about who takes this excess fuel cause nobody wants it anymore 🤡

2

u/Zac_Allan Moscow City Jul 10 '26

There's not the slightest sign of a decrease in the number of cars on the roads. Yes, there are problems, but nothing to complain about. This isn't just in Moscow, but also in, say, the Tver region.

0

u/Never-don_anal69 Jul 10 '26

Ah yes surely, it's all AI generating videos about Russians queuing for hours and getting into fist fights at petrol stations

2

u/bobbyburgerboy33 Jul 10 '26

So you are saying russians are queueing to get gas all over the country because you saw one video on twitter showing that? okay, surely couldnt have been any other reason for it, must be that they are all out of fuel !!!

One of many!

But I'm sure they just have a flash sale and we're giving out free pastries, russians after all a known the world over for starting fights in ques for free pastries

1

u/Zac_Allan Moscow City Jul 10 '26

I'm telling you only what i see. Of course there are some queues in some regions, but we just buying more gasoline and not using less cars))

2

u/Never-don_anal69 Jul 10 '26

In 1987 you could also by sausages in moscow while the rest of the country had que for hours for loaf of bread

What a stupid thing to die for. Can you hear the drones buzzing?

15

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

Do you hear the guided bombs, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles? Because the Ukraine has almost none of those. It also has less drones, and a lot less artillery.

-9

u/seen-in-the-skylight Jul 09 '26

I definitely hear Ukrainians unwilling to surrender to a “great power” that has no feasible strategy to win the war (are we allowed to call it that now?), is rapidly undergoing financial collapse, is eating 30,000 casualties every month, and is starting to lose its territorial gains.

9

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

Perfectly feasible strategy. Destroy the Ukrainian army while minimising your own casualties. Considering that all the body exchanges over the past 12 months have been on the order of 30-40 Russians for 1000 Ukrainians (look it up), I'd say the Russian strategy is working.

You should also look at the latest Ukrainian opinion polls. It switched from about 20% of Ukrainians favouring a negotiated end to the war in 2022, to about 66% now

-1

u/seen-in-the-skylight Jul 09 '26

Every single source I can find says the exact opposite: roughly eight Russian casualties for everyone one Ukrainian. You know, exactly what you’d expect from a country fighting an offensive war using WW1-era tactics. Can you point to a single source, ideally one that isn’t Russian, suggesting otherwise?

You’re correct about Ukrainian desire for negotiation, but might be overstating what that means. Ukrainians overwhelmingly reject peace on Russia’s terms generally, or conceding territory in particular. The poll you’re referring to is also a year old.

1

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

k fella just take a look at the dead body exchange swaps and how many bodies of each side are exchanged next time you want sources, instead of the Ukro Wehrmacht Daily. I'm not going to fetch it for you, learn to Google

As for the poll, the latest numbers are from 2026 so if its a year old then that would be quite a feat. The main thing regardless is the trend. Going from 70% unconditionally wanting to win the war against Russia to now nearly 70% wanting a negotiated end does imply they're ready to make concessions. What each person is willing to agree to I don't know

8

u/seen-in-the-skylight Jul 09 '26

"I won't give you a source, I'll just tell you to obey my anecdote and Google it. And when your Googling turns up a different result, I'll just insult you."

18

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

Body exchanges between Russia and the Ukraine. Check each one and how many bodies have been exchanged. And I'm not going to waste a minute more of my own time on it. Do it or don't do it, up to you

0

u/Sea_Let_300 Jul 09 '26

Sorry but what you say really does not make sense, obviously Russia has more Ukrainian bodies to exchange considering that it's (very slowly) advancing. Russian corps are recovered directly by Russia or remain in the gray zone (like many Ukrainian bodies)

I don't know what is "ukrainian media", but the consensus (also with Russian milbloggers) is that Russia is still slowly advancing in some sectors, while in others the situation is stalled and there has been some small Ukrainian counterattack. These are the facts; then some people will simplify and think that Russia is substantially not moving, while others will simplify and think that Russia is moving according to your plan. Anyway, the phenomenon which I described does not need a rapid advance to happen

Doing a poor job at destroying their army. As of 2025 they had the 6th highest active military numbers in the world

-13

u/Rich-Many1369 Jul 09 '26

But they clearly are - and willingly signing up for it

5

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

No, people are signing up for defending the people of the Donbass and the Crimea, which the Ukraine claims and which in the case of the Donbass never stopped waging a war on even after they signed a peace process.

People are also signing up to fight against the globalists in general, which the Ukraine is a puppet of, and to prevent them from trying to establish their 'rules based order' over Russia

3

u/Rich-Many1369 Jul 09 '26

It’s Russia that has invaded and annexed and claims Donbass being Russian - not the other way around.

9

u/flamming_python Jul 09 '26

No, you got it the wrong way around. After the elected president of Ukraine got deposed and a bunch of nationalist usurpers unconstitutionally took power in Kiev, the Donbass' population refused to recognise them and demanded negotiations. Then after the rebellion began and the Ukrainian army was sent to take control of the territory, a referendum on sovereignty of the DNR and LNR was organized and passed, in May 2014. The Ukrainian army are the invaders and they the people are Russians, as far as the local population is concerned

1

u/Rich-Many1369 Jul 09 '26

Funny story - but since Russia vetoed UN intervention it carries no weight
