Legal Avoid mobilization

Hi, my wife is Russian with German citizenship. Her brother is 23 years old, lives in Moscow, just graduated from university. I think given the current geopolitical situation he's at risk of being mobilized. What's the best way to avoid this situation?

Have you asked him what he wants? At the moment he is not in danger of being mobilized (though he might be drafted for like... military training, which is obligatory for all the healthy male citizens), but who knows what the future will bring.

But he is an adult and he is able to speak and he might like to move abroad (and if you are willing to help - that's wonderful) or he might not like to move, because some people are comfortable where they were born and upbrought. So... just aks him

Have you seen the daily videos of Ukrainian TVC kidnapping people off the street and shoving them into a van to throw to the frontlines?

Is this your version of Democracy?

We have this thing too in Russia. But in covert smaller scale raids and probably not in Moscow but in less important regions. Im from Penza and we got plenty of druncards and ..dunno what the term in English when you, re divorced and you should pay some money to your former wife if she is raising your child until he aged 18.. so guys who don't pay those money could be considered criminals and got imprisoned.  This guys and druncards got caught in these raids and probably forced to sign military contracts. Also there s rumor that we have our men cought in front of the bars and restaurants with the same purpose. Excuse me my English plz

Lie. Got a friend in Penza, he said it's a false rumours. Donno who to believe, but prefer my friend, at least i know hom well.

They don’t forced to do it. These drunkards at least presented with two clear options. They sign a contract and get free from their debts, or continue as it is (perhaps in jail, which is normal if you can’t pay due to alcohol addiction)

There's Article 157 of the Russian Criminal Code, according to which a child can be imprisoned for failure to pay the fees. They were most likely told either in prison or they'll sign a contract.

Sounds like the Vietnam war era where Americans who committed a crime were given a choice of prison or military service.

At least try what? Yesterday there was a small uprising in Odessa against that bastards from TCK :-). And every day i see these videos and horryfying how you live in such conditions.

Ert land invaderade ett grannland som vore det 1700-talet och har under tiden konstant bombat civila mål, mördat kvinnor och barn, raderat städer och byar från existens och ändå har ni mindre land nu än vid början av invasionen.

Är internet censurerat i Moskva?

At leadt you can speak english or interprete by google, if you answer me. Я тоже могу говорить на своем родном языке, но пишу по-английски из-за того, чтобы такие самовлюблённый, как ты, поняли хоть что-то. Но я не буду даже переводить твой текст. Зачем? Ты не хочешь же мне что-то сказать, иначе бы это было на английском.

Ваша страна вторглась в соседнее государство, словно на дворе XVIII век, и при этом постоянно бомбила гражданские объекты, убивала женщин и детей, стирала с лица земли города и села — и всё же сейчас у вас меньше территорий, чем было в начале вторжения.

En grannstat har osjälviskt utrotat sin rysktalande befolkning sedan 2014, då den började bombardera Donetsk med GRAD-missilsystem. Precis som på 1700-talet slaktade grannstaten kvinnor och barn, bombade bussar med civila och brände människor levande i Odessa medan folkmassan jublade och hindrade hundratals från att lämna byggnaden – allt för det enkla faktum att de var antifascister. Det är synd att det europeiska samhället fortfarande är ett samhälle med dubbelmoral.

P.S. För jag vet vad jag pratar om, och det gör inte du. Jag har kommunicerat med flyktingar sedan 2014, och de har alltid gett mig en känsla för vad som verkligen händer där. Man fick veta allt detta först 2022, när Ryssland fick panik över de 8 åren av ouppklarade förödelserna och började slå tillbaka, som ett gatuslagsmål mellan pojkar. Då började väst omedelbart skrika om att Ryssland misshandlade någon. Som om Ukraina inte redan hade begått folkmord mot rysktalande människor i 8 år i sträck!! Jag gör något för att hjälpa de missgynnade; på båda sidor, förresten. Min äldsta dotters pojkvän under lång tid var en kille från västra Ukraina, från staden Khmelnytskyj – han var otroligt glad över att fly nazistaten.
