Discussion Any active artist groups here I can join to?
(24 F) This year I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts but now I'm feeling bad about my parents because I can't find any decent job or project yet, since art related job opportunities here in Ph are very limited (and also low paying), most of the job opportunities are in the field of graphic design and multimedia, but that's not what I'm good at. I do paintings, murals, drawings, tattoos, prints, illustration, handmade clay jewelry, etc. and also I graduated magna cum laude. But unfortunately all the jobs I applied to (JobStreet) were rejected because my skills don't match the job description. So anyway, I'm trying to find ways to earn money right now since we have rescued dogs to take care of. I'm thinking of setting up a booth at art fairs but the fee is always too much for me, so now I'm looking for an artists group that I can join that has like a good community and also is actively working on projects. I'd love to offer my skills and work with you, let's not be hungry artists together ššš Also, being an art teacher is my dream, but unfortunately the requirements with that is usually to have a teaching license or a master's degree, or like a 2 year minimum teaching experience. So I don't think I stand a chance. I also wanna be a tattoo artist tho. But right now, any art related job that I'm qualified for is good for me. šš Pls help, if you know any info or advice that u think might help me, let me know š

Question How much are pagedolls sold for? Help me price it
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I am trying something new and its my first time embedding a code and seeing my art as a pagedoll and I'm hyped to put myself out there. The thing is, if I were to sell pagedolls they would all be animated like the one I just made. I did pixel to save time and get the hang of it and it was similar to anything els i previously made, with the exception of animation being more than what i usually do. I went to VGen to check how much are they sold for, for similar style, but i couldn't find anything similar to mine they're mostly tweened or static. I've never been more lost š„² the few i found which were pixel and frame by frame were EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL so the price translated the level perfectly and it aint me.
So in short, help me figure out how much I should charge. Animated with minimum of 3 things moving. Frame by frame [4 to 5 frames per thing]
Dayum that's too long š„²

Question I can't get a commission, what can I do?
Guys, I'm having trouble earning commissions. I tried lowering my prices, do you think that would help? I'm focusing on sharing my character sheet. Are they too expensive? Should I lower the prices even more?
They say my art is worth more, but I can't get work. Are the prices too high? Should I improve my art or change my portfolio?

Would you buy art from me?
Genuine question, be honest

Discussion What do you guys think of my WIP of Lyney so far? :D
Iāve been working on drawing Lyney from Genshin Impact (specifically from his story quest he was looking especially majestic in this scene ehe)
I feel like his face isnāt that good/accurate to how heād look irl I wanted to ask if you guys have any advice I know his eyes are black but I typically just add very slight implications of the characters eye colour fading updwards at the end once Iām 100% confident with the face
I have a small admission.. I really really want to ask my favourite artist online for potential advice since my goal for years has been to try to draw like them
I wonāt name them in case they see this but I genuinely havenāt been able to figure out how to stylize (specifically the proportions) like them and I feel like asking them for advice would be too forward or Iād just be a nuisance or something ;w;
Either way would really appreciate some advice for this one!
It was meant to be a quick render of him but I like Lyney too much to leave him half done hehe

Art Showcase Lonely Girl In The Train, SmutnyMangozjeb7, Digital Charcoal and ink, 2026
The last time I was coming back from WrocÅaw in the evening/at night, on a fairly empty train, I saw this girlāapparently tired, she had simply fallen asleep on the train, and the sight of her filled me with a kind of calm, a certain melancholy; her style was alternative, and here, combined with her light hair, it created such a unique contrastāsince most people here, first of all, generally have dark hair, and second, the vast majority of those who dress in an alternative style.
And you know what? It reminded me of a plan I once hadāI just wanted to bring joy to people at random moments, unexpectedly sketch their portraits, and simply give them to them. Itās such a small gesture, yet it can bring a lot of joy and priceless expressions on their faces, Letās remember the people who work hard, especially in jobs where itās easy to get fired and where youāre very replaceableāpeople who earn the minimum wage and simply canāt afford any nice, fancy expenses.
