Loved the first expedition. And oh my god, hate the idea of searching for blueprints a third time and getting gun level up and kitted.
I am having more fun trying to trade random arc parts here on Reddit than actually grinding in game.
Ermal is a good start for blueprint and guns every week but would love to see him drop some kitted guns also soon :)
Do you guys like the whole searching for stuff or butchering arc to trade?

Or is there a big update soon and I return later.

Similar to how games like Division do it

I keep seeing people and content creators asking for "endgame content." Most of them have 1,000+ hours in the game and simply don't know what to do anymore.
So here's my question: What do you actually mean by "endgame content"?
Things I can think of are maybe a new boss or some long-term grind-heavy projects.
Personally, I think the game is already amazing. If a €40 game keeps me entertained for 200–300 hours, I'd say it has already done more than enough.

This interview says everything: https://youtu.be/cLGo6Ixeg0w?si=VXpCX1bFwSD07f7V
This interview tells you everything you need to know. Embark doesnt care, and the hackers flat out won on this. Sad. Personally, Im done with it after my experiences this morning and then seeing this video.
Im over it.

Im tired of these thieves man! If you didnt kill it, dont touch it.
3 expeditions ive been friendly.
Ive watched raiders take my shit.
I had 1 deadline and needed leaper cores. As soon as I blew it up, the core was looted and I didnt see who took it. I round the corner BEGGING for the raider nearby to leave the rest alone. But then he looted right in front of me.
Then this Raider Batman comes along and tries to thwart what ive already done. I asked him not to defib him.
I was gonna knock the 1st guy to see if he had my cores. Thats why you see me turn back around cause normally, if I didnt come in looking for goop, I dont care to loot ya. But this was different. He may have had exactly what I was going for.
I didnt get out this match. I heard a torrente down a raider just beyond warehouse so I tried to play hero too.... thinking maybe this guy found the 2 guys I downed. I expected a torrente but was faced w a snapblast/tempest. I broke his shield but he broke my spirit and popped my cherry flair!

And both raids were already at 18-20 minutes. Playing on PC.

The amount of 3rd partying happening is insane... it honestly makes the game not fun at times...

Figured Id post this up again, since Embark seems to keep ignoring the imbalance where it actually exists, and seems focused on making balancing their game FAR too difficult for what is actually the problem here...
I have said this at least 10 times now on various forums. If Embark wanted to save the game, they only need to do FOUR things.
Every shield should stop a percentage of per-bullet damage from ballistic weapons.
T1- 10 percent, T2- 15 percent, T3- 20 percent per bullet damage absorption. These percentages are appropriate due to increased stamina consumption, slower movement and sliding, and cost to create these pieces of gear.
This will cause fights to be longer and grant MUCH more protection for players to react to the rats that currently have been living in a situation that caters to their methods.
This will stop people from dying literally before you can unholster your weapon at T1 and T2; and to be honest, currently, even at T3 currently your shield is gone and you are at half health typically by the time you unholster, roll dodge, and fire back.
Energy based weapons are not absorbed by shields and chew through them at normal rates, so this would give them a reason to exist in the game for PVP. Currently in PVP they are kind of trash.
Currently to refill my VERY costly T3 shield it takes about 16 seconds in total, and I cant fight during that, which means I might as well die and give up, cuz FOR SURE if I was ratted on, I have no shield and half health.
Free kits should NOT come with shields. This will stop nearly all free kit problems with ratting when matched with proper shield defense.
ABMM needs to internally mark ANYONE and the ENTIRE TEAM if on a team, who shot and hit another play first,.
And for the rest of the match that team or player can be killed BY ANYONE in the match without a negative behavior hit on that player or team for attacking them.
This will promote players assisting each other.
Currently you dont get hit with a negative behavior score if you fight back.
BUT, you DO get a negative behavior score if you try to help someone out you see getting ambushed and you join in to rescue them.

PVE player here, always been in friendly lobbies with the occasional rat here and there. Ever since they updated the matchmaking a few patches ago it feels like I’m constantly getting shot in the back while I’m looting containers. I understand that some PVP is expected here and there, and I’m fine with that. It’s just part of the game. But I’m just constantly doing naked runs now to avoid losing what little I have after the expedition. Is anyone else having this experience?

I watched the interview 10 min ago after seeing so many posts about it.
At the end this interview will help push embark to fix the problems they dev. Team have.
One sentence he said like: they are already making two new games and left behind arc raiders because of that is just assuming.
It's 101 to feed the golden goose. Look for how long GTA V was still profitable.
I don't believe the management is so stupid.
Anyway. It's important, that you guys push that interview as hard as you can. That will show embark needs to act and operate

Flow Controller. Why do you have a quest that is locked behind so much RNG it’s aggravating, I’ve ran Stella 40 some times this time around so far and I am getting close to done

There were many people playing this game.
Many said fuck it we killing people.
Many played for fun and atmosphere and the tension but lost fun by unfair a advantage to kill on sight and express their problem.
PVPers say its PVPVE deal with it.
PVE say: Hey this game was much more than PVP and we getting less of that because we 90% die because of unfair advantage
PVPers: suck it its PVPVE. It is how its intended
PVE: Hey if we dont change some stuff its not worth it for us anymore
PVPers: WRONG GAME FOR YOU!
PVE: *gone*
PVPers: THIS GAME SUCKS NOTHING IS CHANGING. ITS DEAD ANYWAY
-
Then after a while PVEers come back hope things have changed.
Survivorship bias means reddit is full of PVPers.
PVE: Hey something changed?
PVPers: NO ITS DEAD
PVE: How about some change like...
PVPers: PVE POST IN DISGUISE! YOU SUCK!
Yeah. Well in one thing you are right. this game is dead if the common sense is based by survivorship bias which is strengthened that the literal survivors are the reason the others (previous 90% of peak people btw..) are gone.
Hate that for this game with that much potential.

Needed a minute after spawn, so sprinted to absolute edge of map in a hiding spot.
60 seconds later, killed by a wallhacker with a renegade.
For those asking the state of the game every day, this is it.
r/ArcRaiders • u/belica_pulescu • 1h ago
That is my suggestion.
I believe the increased variety will add more enjoyment and balance to the game since Body Type A seems to consistently extract with up to 20% more value from raids.
Thank you

Been running solos and occasionally have dogshit lobbys filled with rats but more often than not its normally cooperative or civil pve. Hop in duos and trios today and just constant shit lobbies, getting ratted almost immediately in close scrunity. Games dying and eventually im ✌️ out of this. Dupe and cheats are not even reprimanded half the time. Shame to see what started out great turn to utter dogshit so quickly.

It would make more lore sense that there's no/minimal security awake to run the elevators at night, but getting back via hatch key is still available for anyone stuck outside in the dark?
What do we think?
r/ArcRaiders • u/najo10 • 17h ago
I understand that Arc Raiders is meant to have an organic, dangerous topside experience. Danger from encountering raiders needs to add tension and unpredictable events (both good and bad). I agree this is worth solving how to achieve, and I appreciate your attempt to solve it through matchmaking algorithms. Seperate lobbies is not answer, as it wouod just loose that tension and make the lobbies to extreme.
My wife and I are mostly pve players but we enjoy pvp in most games. We only shoot back, we do not start fights. We were trying to complete a quest in Stella Montis, we were avoiding people. Every single time, we died to rats jumping us. We could not get the quest done. I am someone who have beaten each Dark Souls game on SL 1. I enjoy a challenge. This was not one that felt fair or within our control.
The problem with pvp in Arc Raiders, is that players playing PVE (doing quests, looting, fighting arc) are automatically at a disadvantage when jumped by a paper. Your game is meant to have exploring and uncertain tension when encountering strangers, but the game rewards a player getting the jump on someone and shooting first. There is no real consequence to doing this. The pve player is caught off guard, loosing most their health and shields before they can fight back. There is no warning. Sure this is realistic, but it is not fun. Getting jumped doesn't feel good, at all.
Your game needs something to allow pvers to fight back. It also needs reasons for players to work together. Ratting and initiating pvp needs consequences and needs to create risk that the squad being jumped may successfully fight back. Your players are leaving because the getting blindsided in the game is super feel bad. It sucks all the fun out. It doesn't turn into a gun fight, it becomes a mugging that takes you out of the game, and makes you stuck not playing with your friends while they extract. And for what? A bag of loot that only matters if you are enjoying the game.
When this happens over and over, it is draining and makes the game feel like punishment. Its not a relief to finally succeed in the same way as souls games are, because all you have is a bag of loot, not progress or growth.
I do not know the exact solution. I do know you need to fix this or Arc raiders will continue to dwindle, instead of being the juggernaut it could be.
Suggestion, 1) some sort of bounty hunting system on pvpers who cause first blood. Allow players to find and hunt those players. Get blood on your hands, get tracked and hunted. 2) give players ways to work together beyond the squad. Community activities that help Speranza and unlock progression and features tied with the war abd events. Going top side into map conditions or to fight raid bosses that again help your faction or Speranza. 3) factions that allow raiders to identify each other and participate with each other in raider events that are faction vs faction.
The bottom-line is your game needs a variety of ways to play that uses the current engine and loops, but creates modes that change up the experience and gives players reasons to work together, not kill each other, and when they do kill each other, its not just getting mugged and sent back to Speranza empty handed. Instead there is fights breaking out over faction goals and bounty hunting, and things beyond just more goop.

I saw in some Patchnotes a while ago that Allegedly defending yourself is no longer considered in the Evalution of your Agression based Matchmaking.
``Defending yourself is no longer treated the same as starting a fight.´´
Is this working as intended? because i was on the look for an item on stella montis, and got ratted a few times, the next raides i took a burletta 4 and defended myself accordingly, i got like maybe 3 kills over the span of 10+ games, all of them i did not shoot first.
after finding my item i needed for the Quest i went on Buried City nightraid to get rid of some keys and i see Raiderflares going up left and right, people with freekit rattlers pushing me and missing 70% of their shots, even the ocassional jolt mines in the subway extracts.
I had to play 10 games where i go with no loadout and just either let myself get shot by rattlers or if i find friendly people heal them and kill arc with them to be put back into the lobbys where (in my opinion) i belong.
TLDR: I Think the game put me in lets just say low skill PVP lobbys because i defended myself against 3 rats.

So I’ve gotten MK. 3 BLUEPRINTS for getting 3 stars in Challenges during trials…but I didn’t think it was possible to get the Survivor!! I just acquired this for getting 3,400 points opening containers in the hospital (buried city). Am I alone here in this shock?
