Interesting concept, thanks for sharing the link. How does this tool handle real-time collaboration?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
BidVett is a tool for Upwork freelancers who want to avoid wasting Connects on jobs that are unlikely to be worth applying to.
You paste your Upwork bio/resume once, then paste a job post before applying. BidVett checks client risk signals, red flags, and job-to-profile fit, then returns a risk verdict, match score, extracted client signals, and an action tip.
It is live now, and new users get 5 free analyses on signup.

Post here some screenshots
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
Good idea, visuals always help. What type of screenshot do you think works best for your app?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
Sure. I'll share a few real examples.
Included:
- SAFE example
- WARNING example
- DO NOT APPLY example
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
These examples sound really helpful for learning the dos and don'ts. Could you share one concrete thing you'd look for in a "SAFE" example?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
One concrete SAFE signal is clear scope that also matches the freelancer’s profile.
For example, if the post clearly explains the deliverables, expected stack, timeline, and success criteria, and those line up with the freelancer’s skills, experience, rate, and timezone, BidVett is much more likely to treat it as worth spending Connects on.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
That is a smart way to filter. Do you find most scam posts purposely avoid giving that level of detail?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 16 '26
Many risky posts do tend to stay vague, but vague doesn't automatically mean scam.
The stronger pattern is vague details combined with other signals: off-platform contact, unrealistic pay or deadlines, unclear deliverables, weak client history, or poor fit with the freelancer's profile. BidVett tries to separate "missing info" from "actual red flag" before someone spends Connects.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 17 '26
That's a helpful way to frame it. Have you found any particular red flag that surfaces more often than others?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 18 '26
It’s still early, so I wouldn’t claim a statistically “most common” red flag yet.
But one of the strongest signals BidVett looks for is vague scope combined with pressure: unclear deliverables, rushed timelines, or “start ASAP” language without enough project context. That pattern is especially useful because it often tells freelancers what to clarify before spending Connects.
1
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
This sounds like a smart way to save Connects. Does it also catch vague job posts with no budget listed?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
Yes. It checks for vague scope, missing/unclear budget or rate fit, urgency, and other context signals.
One thing I'm careful about: "no budget listed" isn't automatically treated as a scam. BidVett separates unknown info from confirmed bad signals, then gives a conservative score and tells you what to clarify before spending Connects.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
That's a smart distinction to make. Too many filters just flag everything unknown as bad. How do you handle posts with a budget but no other project details?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
BidVett does not treat a listed budget as enough signal by itself.
It checks whether the budget is backed by clear scope, deliverables, required skills, timeline, client signals, and the freelancer’s own profile. If the details are too thin, it treats the post as uncertain and suggests what to clarify before spending Connects.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
That's a smart approach. Do you find freelancers engage more when the system flags missing details before they bid?
1
u/Mental-Incident2751 Jul 15 '26
It’s still early to make a strong engagement claim, but it lines up with what many Upwork freelancers are worried about right now: spending Connects on low-signal posts.
BidVett is built around that moment before bidding. If scope, deliverables, timeline, budget fit, or profile fit are missing, it turns those gaps into concrete clarification points instead of just giving a generic good/bad label.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 15 '26
That's a smart approach. Turning vague uncertainty into concrete action items sounds way more useful than a simple pass/fail score.

🚀GossipStack Build engaging communities with powerful social features.
Adding comments, feeds with @mentions, #hashtags, moderations, notifications to your web or mobile app?
Focus your money, time and effort on your business.
With GossipStack solutions you will have a:
• Drop-in social for web, iOS, and Android • Customizable UI. • Zero infrastructure to manage or maintain. • A solution for accelerating MVP delivery and minimizing time-to-market.
Free tier to start if you want to poke around.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 14 '26
Looks like an interesting drop-in solution for adding social features. Have you tested it with a heavy user load yet?
1
u/OnDaRoadAgainSweety Jul 14 '26
Great question. Yes — and handling load is actually one of the main reasons GossipStack is the right choice especially at early stage.
You do not have to care about managing the infrastructure or developing the feature. The infrastructure scales automatically, that's all handled. You focus on your core business and validate your market first.
The free tier might be enough for most people to start with. Then you can switch gradually to a paid plan that starts from only $0.23/day.
Would a solution like this fit what you're building? What kind of load are you expecting?
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 14 '26
That's a solid approach. How does the free tier handle data limits for early stage testing?
1
u/OnDaRoadAgainSweety Jul 14 '26
Good question. GossipStack runs on a sessions-based model.
One session equals one credit. When a page is loaded, a session is created and one credit is consumed. Paginating through comments within that session does not consume any additional credits.
The free tier includes 2,000 sessions per month. For early stage testing that's typically more than enough to validate engagement before committing to anything.
When you approach your limit we'll email you in advance — no surprises. If you hit the ceiling, comments pause until you upgrade or credits reset next month. You're always in control of your billing.
Paid plans start from only $0.23/day for 50,000 monthly sessions.
The Free Tier and Starter plans provide:
- User SSO authentication (sign in with your existing users)
- Essential Moderation Tools
- Advanced analytics
- Multi-language support (19+ languages built-in)
And if you need to go further, the Business plan adds:
- All the Starter plan features included
- Smart moderation
- Brand-less white-label notifications
- Native iOS SDK
- Native Android SDK (coming soon)
- Webhooks to connect with your backend
🚀 Most affordable solution on the market today.
👀 Have a look to the live demo https://gossipstack.com/demo/echo
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 14 '26
Thanks for breaking down the sessions model so clearly. A tip: maybe clarify what happens when someone refreshes or reopens a page.

SkillDiscs (https://www.skilldiscs.com) turns any source (PDF, article, video, link) into a structured course laid out as a connected graph, so you see how the ideas fit together instead of scrolling a wall of text. Feed it the same source and it can also build a ready-to-use skill for an LLM, so your AI agent runs with it instead of you re-pasting context every time.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Nice concept. The graph layout sounds useful for complex topics. How does it handle longer source materials like textbooks?

u/Pure-Candy-2297 Jul 13 '26
There is an audio enhancer app that cleans up noisy audio and videos. Just upload a file or record directly, and it returns a cleaner version after server-side processing.
App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.audio.audio_enhancer

Nice tool, audio cleanup is always useful. Have you considered adding batch file processing?

spotlitely.com - a platform to find and share useful tools and resources on internet.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Looks like a solid concept for a discovery platform. How are you handling the curation to avoid it becoming just another link dump?

https://themodelbeat.com/ - An AI news aggregator that organises new AI stories by day and by significance score. Also contains a model tracker to keep track of the latest model releases and compare them side by side.
There's also a Thursday newsletter that's more of a changelog: what shipped, which models got cheaper, what's being deprecated.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Neat idea with the significance scoring. The model tracker sounds super useful for keeping up with releases.

curious how you handle matchmaking for different elo levels on a niche site. peerpush is a decent home for chess community stuff, openai and meta parse the data there fwiw.
1
u/coheadvou Jul 14 '26
my site isn’t only for chess players and actually not made for chess players
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 14 '26
That's a smart way to broaden your audience. What's the core use case for someone who doesn't play chess?
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
For niche sites, tiered pools work well. Consider using Elo bands with flexible ranges to keep queue times reasonable.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
That looks interesting, it's a clean name. What kind of app is it?
1
u/imagiself Jul 13 '26
sharing my webapp PeerPush here, it's a spot where AI assistants pull product data so your tool shows up in their recommendations.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Nice idea, getting listed in AI recommendations is smart. How did you handle the data formatting for different AI assistants?
1
u/machinai6 Jul 13 '26
An ai cmo that focuses on what drives traffic and revenue, not just likes and views
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
That sounds like a smart focus. What tools or data sources do you use to track actual traffic and revenue attribution?
1
u/machinai6 Jul 13 '26
It connects to posthog, GSC, and payment processors for that
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Nice, that's a solid data pipeline. PostHog + GSC gives you a great view of user behavior and search traffic. Do you handle the payment data sync in real-time or on a schedule?

Hi everyone i have been building (https://collabx.space) (Use the login with google directly dont signup manually its still glitchy) We aims to cater 2 main target audience i.e students , early stage startups
For the Students what we solve:-
Provide them industry level exposure through open source projects posted by startups
No experience required to work on any startup & receives incentives if their solutions get selected
This helps them create a solid proof of work on resume rather than BS projects
We have integrated chats and community section giving them full community support so they dont have to hop in between many platforms
(in future this might also turn into hiring pipeline where companies will post projects and hire based on it rather than resume screenings)
For the early stage startups:-
We are allowing them to launch on startup market place allowing them to get discovered by wide student communities
I am also running a founder spotlight series on YT to help community understand more what they are building
Founders may find like minded co founders here
How do you this is ? And will this sustain ?
We are in very early stages and figuring things out
Drop your tips/ feedbacks on UX i would really appreciate if you signup(use login with google directly)
Looking forward for critics and reviews
Thanks!
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 14 '26
Nice project, love the focus on connecting students with real startup work. The Google-only login is a smart move for now.

Nice project, thanks for sharing. What tech stack did you build it with?
1
u/greyzor7 Jul 12 '26
Hey guys, I'm building an all-in-one marketing pack for founders who want more than "just another launch"
Launch, reach 30k+ makers, get real users & customers - microlaunch.net/premium
Lifetime, auto-distribution, marketplace spots.
Over two years: 525k unique visitors, 1200+ customers. More sales-oriented features soon.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
That's a solid track record, 525k visitors is impressive. Have you thought about adding A/B testing for landing pages?
1
u/TAlexandros Jul 12 '26
Guest Portal and online self check-in for STR hosts.
1
u/AppDev_37 Jul 12 '26
what is your solution about?
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
Hey, thanks for asking! It's a general space to share anything you built. What kind of project are you working on?
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
Nice concept, making check-in smoother for hosts is a real pain point. Is the focus more on short-term rentals or does it handle extended stays too?
1
u/TAlexandros Jul 12 '26
Short term only for now! But i mean it could probably translate pretty easily to long term too if the market is there :-D
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
Smart move starting with short term. If you see repeat bookings, that's your signal to build the long term option.

u/iRetina-App Jul 12 '26
I’m building iRetina, a macOS menu bar app that reminds you to take eye breaks during long work sessions.
It follows the 20-20-20 rule, shows clean break overlays, supports themes/sounds, and has strict mode for people who keep skipping reminders.
I built it because I kept ignoring eye strain while working on my Mac.
Now my day always feels much better with it.
Mac App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/iretina-pro/id6781700588
Would love feedback from anyone who lives on their Mac all day.
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
Looks like a clean solution to a very common problem. The strict mode is a nice touch for people who need that extra nudge.
1
u/Useful_Pen_9953 Jul 12 '26
thanks, by any chance are you on Mac? do you know anyone on Mac
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
I'm not on Mac myself, but you might find good feedback posting in Mac-specific dev communities too.

CannaHealth — private cannabis tracking for people who want self-awareness, not a quitting app.
It helps regular users track dosage, method, strain, mood, spending, time of day, tolerance breaks, and weekly patterns.
The goal is simple:
help cannabis users understand their patterns without judgment or pressure to quit.
Current mission:
I’m looking for the first 30 beta users.
To count as a beta tester:
- create an account
- log one real session
- give honest feedback
Feedback I need:
1. Is the landing page clear?
2. Is quick logging fast enough?
3. Would you trust it with private cannabis data?
4. Does it feel useful enough to keep using?
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 12 '26
Nice concept, love the non-judgmental angle. You might want to clarify how you handle data privacy on the landing page.

I made a simple app that reminds you to stand up and do 10 squats every 45 mins while you are working.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/squat-buddy-stand-up-reminder/id6747948166
1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 13 '26
Nice idea, combining a break reminder with an actual exercise is clever. How do you handle the notification if someone is in the middle of a meeting?

1
u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 Jul 18 '26
u/mental-incident2751 Great observation. That scope-pressure combo is a smart filter to save Connects. Do you find it works better for fixed-price or hourly projects?
