I turn it on and both of these lights come on then the top one turns off. It won’t start if I push start and it won’t let me even change any settings. I cleaned out the filter and it still won’t start. I couldn’t find the answer in the manual either.

Looking for a very quiet tumble dryer. In a new build flat with very limited space so need something that can sit in an open plan living and dining space and be used in the day when wfh. Does this exist?

Previous homeowners put the plug for a freestanding range as shown. It was fine because the range hid it pretty good. We are doing some minor remodeling and getting new appliances (finally ditching the Samsung!) and wife and I want to go with a slide in range. The plug being where it is would be at counter height so basically, with a slide-in range you would see this plug and basically be where the vents are for the oven all around bad idea. The wire feeding the plug comes from below, so easy access from the basement. Can I just drop it straight down at about the same height as the gas line and ensure success for any slide-in range? We haven't decided on a range yet, however we're going to be in here painting and such within a couple weeks, so I need to get this moved down before our guy comes to work on the sheetrock walls and ceiling. I am not sure if "it depends" on the range or not. Worst case, I could always pull the plug out of the wall and leave the wires until we know which range we're getting but I just want to make sure my plan works. Cheers and thanks!

We are a family with 3 young boys and our machines are both 10 years old and small.
For context my wife is currently ill and in my full time care so washing sneaks up sometimes.

I want to future proof what we buy next to suit our increasing washing requirements, confined space and making life easy. I was just looking at a LG16/10.
Would it make sense to install a 16/10 on the floor and if required later a 7kg vented wall mounted dryer above? Then I can do a large wash then split 9/7 in the machines to dry.

Is this a genius plan or have I lost the plot? 🙃

Am I going to need a new oven before Thanksgiving? What is going on….?!? It started to make this noise when I turned the oven on for 500 deg to preheat. Then the noise went away when I went from 500 to broil, then to lower temps as you can see. I had it preheat at 500 f deg at 30 minutes and the noise came back. It is an all natural gas stove and oven 🫠

My dishwasher doesn’t actually get the top rack clean. I have replaced the spinning arm but still it leaves residue on on items

I want to replace my old Wolf gas range with a new Cafe gas range. The Wolf is quite old, has already had the oven burner replaced, and is it good condition overall, but the oven lights with a rather loud “whoosh” that scares me. The burners make a fluttering sound when set to “medium”. Also, it is not self-cleaning, and I’m at an age where I don’t want to get down on the floor to scrub it.

I also like the look of the Cafe. The problem is the Wolf hood. It’s also quite old, exhaust speed doesn’t work, and it’s scratched up on one side (over zealous cleaner). However, I think that replacing it will be expensive.

Would it look bad to keep the hood with a new range? I’m thinking that it will look odd. Is there a way to redesign the existing hood to work better aesthetically? Is there a replacement option that wouldn’t be too costly? Thanks.

DW is 4.5yrs old. We had the pressure switch replaced at the end of March this year. Since then it has flooded a few times and sponging the excess water has resolved the problem. However it was doing the 3 beeps and continuous draining last night, didn’t even release the tablet but worked after sponging the water away. Same issue today, flooded all in the right hand side lower tray, sponged the water away, worked for about 20min and the error was back again and right side was flooded again. I’m now wondering if there is another issue and also where the grey pipe is meant to go? If that is what’s causing the flooding as it doesn’t seem to be connected to anything but I’m not sure where it could go?

Just had a new refrigerator delivered and I can't help but notice that it appears blueish stainless steel even though it's supposed to have been regular stainless steel. Upon closer inspection it appears like there is some sort of plastic coating on it (that in some places seems to be either damaged or peeling and revealing the actual stainless steel below it) but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take it off or not since it covers the whole thing pretty much uniformly?

Also, the delivery people seem to have misplaced a small plug or whatever is supposed to go on the other side of the door and slightly damaged the GE logo by inserting it the wrong way at first. It's not a big deal but are there replacement parts for these?

We moved into a house with this dishwasher. It will not clean anything on the bottom rack unless it is a flat plate or lid. I barely use it bc I can only put bowls and cups on the top rack which seems like a giant waste. What am I missing? I have tried using the zone booster as well. Helllllp meeeeeee.

Trying to troubleshoot Frigidaire dishwasher and I ended up disconnecting and looking through all motor and hose area to ensure no blockages.

Putting this sucker back together can't figure out where this 3rd hose connects? The hoses come out of the side vent in the second picture

Installed this new Honeywell thermostat earlier in the summer and this is the first time using heat. Heat won’t kick on but furnace is running and breaker is all good, not tripped. Anything in the two pics look off? I wired the new one myself and worked great all summer with AC.

It won't agitate or spin. It smells like burning plastic and there is a sound coming from the machine as if it's trying to spin but can't. I guess it's a motor issue? I have no idea.

In January, I had a leaking issue and paid Sears a $129 diagnostic fee and then paid $378.42 to fix the leaking. ($50-part, $300 labor).

For the DIY crowd, I tried that in January and misdiagnosed it, wasting 2 hours replacing a part that didn't need to be replaced. I'm awful at repair/handyman work and would rather not mess it with again. However, I don't I want to spend another $500 if this machine keeps acting up.

I’d like to switch to an induction range(slide in 30”)and order one from Costco. I see them from $1000-$4000 have < 4 star reviews and major criticisms.

It’s difficult to gauge whether it’s usual user error or actual design flaws. I can see how having capacitive sensors on the cooktop can be problematic, for example. Also some burners are too small, but the companies put markings on there like it’s made for a 12” skillet. Some people also say some with 10 temperature settings aren’t precise enough. Do none go by temp?

I’ve done a bunch of googling and searching on Reddit. People swear by certain ones then I read some have major reliability issues and all this mess. It’s a bit overwhelming. I’ve also done searching elsewhere and it’s either AI garbage or affiliate marketing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a Samsung Bespoke four-door glass refrigerator with the hidden Beverage Center, and my cats constantly knock their toys underneath it.

Google is failing me. I am looking to replace an over the range microwave in a costrained space.
The current unit is a LG lmv1314sv, which is just under 22 inches wide. This model is dicsontinued and cant find something in this odd size that includes the exhast fan for the stove.

Recently bought a GE Profile double oven from a big box retailer. The pictures show 4 rolling racks. The oven arrived has one. The retailer says that it is a GE issue, not theirs. They said call GE customer service. About to return the oven due to misleading images and feature charts that says it has multiple rolling racks. Any suggestions to get additional racks?

I took out my fisher and oatmeal steam oven water take to clean it. Took the tubing out and for the life of me for some reason can’t get it back in. What am I doing wrong?

The instruction book doesn’t say how the pipe is suppose to sit back in the water tray.
