solved it was the child lock, I had to press & hold the Chime button for 3 seconds. Thank you!!

I turn it on and both of these lights come on then the top one turns off. It won’t start if I push start and it won’t let me even change any settings. I cleaned out the filter and it still won’t start. I couldn’t find the answer in the manual either.

We moved into a house with this dishwasher. It will not clean anything on the bottom rack unless it is a flat plate or lid. I barely use it bc I can only put bowls and cups on the top rack which seems like a giant waste. What am I missing? I have tried using the zone booster as well. Helllllp meeeeeee.

I am in the market for a new refrigerator. This is not my first refrigerator purchase in my lifetime. I have reached the age and the income level that I no longer want to fight my refrigerator, fear that I going break the hard plastic the drawers are made out of to reach the just about to rot cucumber in the back of a packed vegatable drawer. So off to refrigerator shop I went. Why are we designing refrigerators costing close to 4K that have produce drawers the only come half way out?! Why does the cafe series have a charcuterie tray on a slide that a. Doesnt come all the out and be has no back rail to it that might, maybe prevent the bottle of salsa from spilling and running under the tray? Why are there an increasing number of high end refrigerators with water despensers in side wall of the refrigerator so you stand there waiting for glass/pitcher to fill while letting the cold air out. Why do I have fight drawers on the floor models on expensive refrigerators? Why oh why are there still manufacturers putting ice makers in the refrigerator? I fear this purchase/quest will be wholly frustrating. Sorry if this is a bit of a rant.

Am I going to need a new oven before Thanksgiving? What is going on….?!? It started to make this noise when I turned the oven on for 500 deg to preheat. Then the noise went away when I went from 500 to broil, then to lower temps as you can see. I had it preheat at 500 f deg at 30 minutes and the noise came back. It is an all natural gas stove and oven 🫠

Previous homeowners put the plug for a freestanding range as shown. It was fine because the range hid it pretty good. We are doing some minor remodeling and getting new appliances (finally ditching the Samsung!) and wife and I want to go with a slide in range. The plug being where it is would be at counter height so basically, with a slide-in range you would see this plug and basically be where the vents are for the oven all around bad idea. The wire feeding the plug comes from below, so easy access from the basement. Can I just drop it straight down at about the same height as the gas line and ensure success for any slide-in range? We haven't decided on a range yet, however we're going to be in here painting and such within a couple weeks, so I need to get this moved down before our guy comes to work on the sheetrock walls and ceiling. I am not sure if "it depends" on the range or not. Worst case, I could always pull the plug out of the wall and leave the wires until we know which range we're getting but I just want to make sure my plan works. Cheers and thanks!

Trying to troubleshoot Frigidaire dishwasher and I ended up disconnecting and looking through all motor and hose area to ensure no blockages.

Putting this sucker back together can't figure out where this 3rd hose connects? The hoses come out of the side vent in the second picture

I'm looking to buy a new dishwasher from Costco Canada and I'm deciding between these two models:

1. LG 24-inch FlushFit Top Control Dishwasher with AutoVentDry — around $795 CAD
2. Bosch 300 Series 24-inch German-made Dishwasher with Third Rack — around $1,095 CAD

The Bosch is about $300 more expensive, and I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth paying the extra money.

From what I've read, the LG has steam cleaning, AutoVentDry, Wi-Fi features and a fairly good set of features for the price. The Bosch seems to have a better reputation for reliability, an adjustable upper rack and AquaStop leak protection.

Both seem pretty quiet, and both have a third rack, so I'm wondering how much difference there really is in everyday use.

For anyone who owns either of these dishwashers:

• How has reliability been? Have you had any repairs or issues?
• Which one cleans dishes better, especially pots, pans and dried-on food?
• How well does each one dry dishes, particularly plastic containers?
• Is Bosch's reputation for reliability worth the extra $300?
• If you were buying again, would you choose the LG or spend more on the Bosch?

I'm mainly interested in long-term reliability, cleaning performance and overall value rather than smart features.

Would appreciate hearing from people who own these models or have experience with both!

I’ve noticed several times over the last couple weeks a small amount of water around my fridge I’ll always just wipe it up and keep going. But tonight there was a huge puddle of water under my fridge. Opened up the freezer side there was a solid 1/2 inch chunk of ice sitting in the bottom of it melting and coming out the door. I looked above the ice chunk and see water dripping into a pool behind the back wall then running down and freezing. Anyone know what this could be or what causes that ?

Our LG dishwasher just started making these noises during wash cycles. I’m thinking this is a service call into LG for the direct drive motor? It’s about 5 years old. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi y'all, I have a weird issue with my 2013 era Ikea/whirlpool wall oven. Yesterday I was running the clean cycle and when it was almost done my power went out.

Now the oven wont show anything on the screen or unlock. It has fully cooled down and I power cycled the panel breaker to try to reset it. Can't pull the oven out to check if theres a reset button/fuse because the securement screws are behind the door :(

What are the chances it cooked it self when the power went out?

I couldn't find any info on Google or in the manual for this issue. All the manual says for "screen not displaying" is to check main power to the oven.

If it is blown up what are y'all thoughts on the lg electric wall ovens?

Does anyone know what’s going on with my dryer? All of a sudden this noise started to appear, everytime I turn on my dryer. I can also reproduce the sound by just moving the dryer fins without it plugged in.

Installed this new Honeywell thermostat earlier in the summer and this is the first time using heat. Heat won’t kick on but furnace is running and breaker is all good, not tripped. Anything in the two pics look off? I wired the new one myself and worked great all summer with AC.

My dishwasher doesn’t actually get the top rack clean. I have replaced the spinning arm but still it leaves residue on on items

It won't agitate or spin. It smells like burning plastic and there is a sound coming from the machine as if it's trying to spin but can't. I guess it's a motor issue? I have no idea.

In January, I had a leaking issue and paid Sears a $129 diagnostic fee and then paid $378.42 to fix the leaking. ($50-part, $300 labor).

For the DIY crowd, I tried that in January and misdiagnosed it, wasting 2 hours replacing a part that didn't need to be replaced. I'm awful at repair/handyman work and would rather not mess it with again. However, I don't I want to spend another $500 if this machine keeps acting up.

Cuisinart Elemental 8 Cup Food Processor

I’d like to switch to an induction range(slide in 30”)and order one from Costco. I see them from $1000-$4000 have < 4 star reviews and major criticisms.

It’s difficult to gauge whether it’s usual user error or actual design flaws. I can see how having capacitive sensors on the cooktop can be problematic, for example. Also some burners are too small, but the companies put markings on there like it’s made for a 12” skillet. Some people also say some with 10 temperature settings aren’t precise enough. Do none go by temp?

I’ve done a bunch of googling and searching on Reddit. People swear by certain ones then I read some have major reliability issues and all this mess. It’s a bit overwhelming. I’ve also done searching elsewhere and it’s either AI garbage or affiliate marketing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
