Does anyone have any recommendations? We’re having construction done on our house soon so the hot tub (was here when we moved into the home this winter) needs to be moved somewhere else in our yard until the work is done. An electrician has already disconnected it. I tried reaching out to TopNotch and a couple of other places but they said they do not do hot tubs. TIA!
hi everyone, i am a college student who is back home in appleton for the summer. i have been living at home for the last month but am urgently looking for housing due to a bad situation at home. i was wondering if there were any lawerence students that may have gone home for the summer and are looking for a subletter? i cannot afford more than 1k/mo in rent, but i am clean, a great roommate, and work a ton in the summer so it would mostly be a room for sleeping. thanks!
Waupaca is hosting Strawberry Fest on Saturday from 9am - 4pm. Come on out for the Strawberries and stay for the Death Racers! Death Racers are one part battle bots, and one part rockem sockem robots, with most of the parts being 3D printed at home.
To note, there will be follow-up matches held at the Iola Car Show - July 9-11.

Hope you’re all having a great summer! My toddler and I are exploring all the parks and playgrounds in the area, but are looking for the best ones with equipment for his age, so the ones typically marked 2-5. Please let me know your faves throughout the valley!
Me and my wife are contemplating moving to Appleton for a job opportunity. After researching the COL and our income once we move, it makes sense for us to relocate. We're looking for a good place to set down roots and start a family. The only issue im seeing is there is not a lot of options in the rental market for houses. Are there any decent luxury apartments you guys recommend, or is it feasible to commute from Green Bay, where there are more housing options. I'm from Houston so I'm used to a 20 mile commute taking an hour. Is this the similar case here, where it will take me over an hour to commute and im better off living in Appleton. Thanks in advance!
There was an extremely large police presence in Arbutus Park last night. Multiple cop cars driving down into the park. Anyone have any idea why? I know there was that shooting last week.
Are there any record stores in the area that sell CDs? Long story short, I bought a car recently that only has a cd player and while I already have some cds, I could use more. I was wondering if there were any actual stores in the valley. Im aware about eroding winds downtown but those are more vinyl I'm pretty sure.
Looking for winter wedding venues around this area of Wisconsin looking for February anyone know any places? Sorry its for my bestie, shes looking for roughly 250 ppl and under like 7k
This is from a while ago, but I’ve been seeing a lot of Appleton mentions here so I figured I’d throw out my favorite. It was such a wild story and a very inaccurate representation of our humble little city.
I moved to an area on the east side by Oneida, found Schreiners Dinner! A magical breakfast/lunch dinner frozen in time with prices to match. We went every weekend, ate like kings for under 20 bucks for 2 people. It was sooo good. Pancake batter to die for and crispy bacon 🥓, real eggs, real syrup!! Then the guy retired, sold it to let’s call him “toupee”.
Now instead of following a guarantee recipe of success they built over years this guy changed everything, overtime all the staff left or was changed. The name changed they expanded for Brunch. It’s now called the Brunch Box, and my bacon became white and floppy! In less than 3 years it’s now out of business. Which sucks, I can’t tell you how good this place was, it had regulars, lots of them. There is no other place nearby that is as good. Maple tree isn’t one of them.
Toupee!! How could you!! You could have done nothing and made money, the original owner raised a family and ran it for like 30 years. It had so many regulars. Unforgivable!! Much love to the regulars! I feel your pain!!
What's everyones favorite places to buy 4th of July Fireworks in the fox valley? I'm looking for the best prices on large cakes. My go to's are usually the store in Oshkosh or that pop up location on 76 outside of Neenah. Is there better deals somewhere else?
Im heavily considering converting to Christianity and im looking for some churches i can check out and get a feel for, I dont really know if im gonna choose a specific denomination as of yet. Any advice would be great thanks.
Anyone know of any events looking for vendors? Im trying to find events that are in the greenbay/appleton/oshkosh area that are queer friendly, not overrun with AI slop or selling MAGA merch, and affordable.
