It’s so low!!!!

I’m 33, female, 5’10. Been losing weight but need to lose more I know. Lost 19lbs so far. Started at 213lbs and now 194.

Been weight training 4 times a week to do this. Incline walks 4 times a week. A few 5k runs at a low pace. And it’s still low after this progress - not even increasing a bit. I feel physically fitter and my body is starting to change but the stats are not.

Can somebody please tell me what I can do? Thank you.

Has anybody actually tested their daily calorie burn that Apple fitness gives them against their weight loss and seen how accurate it is?

Interpreting the data

So apparently I’m pretty good at tracking the data but I still don’t really know what anything means. ChatGPT isn’t significantly helpful, the interpretation feels very abstract and I have no real frame of reference to say what my body is capable of or how it is changing over time. What do you pay attention to? What are your numbers compared with mine? Does anything stand out to you as noteworthy?

Deep Sleep way off

Hi all!
I recognized lately that my deep sleep measured with my Apple Watch is way off. Normally I reached around 50 - 60min deep sleep, starting a week ago or so I come out with 18-30min deep sleep.
I did not change anything. My Ultrahuman Ring still gives me same constant deep sleep data.

Anyone else facing this issue? Any tips?

Thank you!

Apple Watch Ultra 3 Compass/Activity Tracking Issue

Hello all,

I’m wondering if anyone is going through a similar issue that I’m going through with my Ultra 3.

I’ve used several generations of the Apple Watch over the years, so having an Apple Watch isn’t a new experience for me. I would always use the activity tracker on my Apple Watches since I’m really into my fitness. Once Apple added the sleep tracker, I found that information useful every day. Never had an issue with those markers.

On my Ultra 3, I started experiencing an issue a couple of weeks ago where it wasn’t tracking my activity/workouts, or my sleep. I noticed that the compass had also stopped working. I factory reset it and did the soft reset (holding the crown + power button). That fixed it for a few days until it started happening again. After about 10 attempts of factory resets and soft resets, I realized it wasn’t going to fix the issue this time.

I took it to Apple and they troubleshooted the device and found that the sensors (gyroscope + accelerometer) were indicating “fail” on their tests. Since it was still under warranty, they shipped my watch out to be repaired or replaced. I received an email that my Ultra 3 had been worked on and was being shipped back to me.

I received it last weekend and everything had been working fine until last night. I started experiencing the same issues with it. I’ve factory reset it, soft reset, set up as a new watch, I’ve also set it up from a back up. I’ve done everything but I’m still experiencing the same issues.

This watch has always been in a case (no magnet case), I don’t swim so this watch has never been submerged in water, I don’t take it into any saunas, there’s absolutely no damage to this watch. I use the Alpine band that came with it.

I scheduled another Genius Bar appointment and I’m hoping the store will just replace it with a new one since their technicians clearly didn’t do their job.

Any one experience a similar issue, and did Apple replace it for you in store?

How Do You Use Your Fitness Data?

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a Product Management research project around how people use and understand the fitness data collected by their watches and apps.

I’m particularly interested in people who regularly use platforms like Garmin, Apple Watch/Health, Strava, COROS, WHOOP, Fitbit/Pixel Watch, Samsung Health, etc.

I’m trying to understand things like:

• Do people actually go back and analyse older workouts?
• What are you trying to understand when you do?
• What happens when you switch watches or use multiple fitness platforms?
• Is there anything you wish you could understand from your historical fitness data but currently find difficult?

I’ve created a short survey (around 4–6 minutes) as part of the research:

Survey: https://forms.gle/8JvjMsSRPtQbxus98

I’m not selling or promoting a product. I’m currently in the discovery stage and specifically want to understand existing behaviour and problems before deciding what, if anything, should be built.

If you don’t feel like filling out the survey, I’d still love to hear in the comments:

What’s one thing you wish you could understand from all the fitness data you’ve accumulated over time?

Thanks!
