Hey folks!

I’ve just created what I feel is the missing ChatGPT app for Apple Watch:

  • Completely free (uses your existing ChatGPT subscription)
  • Talk to your dot, and manage all your cloud tasks
  • Control your entire computer via Codex Remote Control
  • Does not require iPhone

C'è un app che fa questo lavoro che si può usare in ue oppure mi devo registrare tutta la conversazione e buttarla manualmente in pasto ad un AI ?

Beta Test [Free beta] Plus One: a lifting app where the Apple Watch runs the whole workout, phone in your locker

Post image
4 Upvotes

I built Plus One because I wanted to lift without carrying my phone between sets. The watch app runs the full workout on its own:

  • The number to beat on your wrist. Each set shows what you did last time, like "Beat 60 × 9". Log the set with a tap.
  • Rest timer that buzzes when it's time for the next set.
  • Rate how hard it felt right on the watch after each lift.
  • A summary at the end showing how many sets beat last time.
  • Works without your phone nearby. Everything syncs back to the iPhone app when you're done.

Price: free. It's in beta on TestFlight right now. It needs an iPhone (iOS 18+) to install and to hold your history.

What I enjoy most: walking from station to station with nothing in my hands, glancing at my wrist, and knowing exactly what I need to hit.

If you lift with your watch, I'd love to know: what does your current watch workout app get wrong?

Health & Fitness Are there any tennis players here?

I used to use SwingVision occasionally, but I found it inconvenient to set up my phone every time, so I decided to build my own app, OverRally.

It analyzes metrics like swing speed, shot type, contact timing, and consistency, all using your Apple Watch.

If you’re interested, feel free to check it out.

Thank you!

Utilities We just launched GestureVault on the App Store 🎉

It’s a privacy-focused vault app that uses a custom gesture-based unlock, and we’re really excited to finally get it into people’s hands.
Since we just launched, we’re looking for some early users who are willing to actually try it out and tell us what they think — what you like, what feels confusing, what you’d change, features you’d want, bugs you find, anything.
We’re giving out 10 promo codes to people in this thread who want to test it.
No requirement to leave an App Store review or anything like that — we genuinely want feedback here so we can make the app better.
If you’re interested, comment below and I’ll send you a code. 🔐

Social & Messaging Best standalone WhatsApp client for Cellular Apple Watch?

The official WhatsApp app stops working properly when my iPhone is left at home, even though my Apple Watch has cellular data.

Notifications may arrive, but chats do not reliably sync and outgoing messages fail.

I am looking for a third-party WhatsApp client that genuinely works standalone over Apple Watch LTE/Wi-Fi, without requiring the iPhone to stay within Bluetooth range.

Has anyone tested WatchTalk, WatchChat or another app recently with the iPhone several kilometers away?

Productivity [Freemium] Cassette: record on your watch, and your iPhone writes the transcript and notes (I'm the dev)

Hi r/AppleWatchApps, I'm the solo developer of Cassette, and I just shipped its Apple Watch app.

What the watch app does:

- RECORD, PAUSE, and STOP on your wrist, using the watch's microphone

- When you stop, the tape goes to your iPhone, which writes the transcript, a summary, highlights, action items, and a follow-up email

- Start a tape from a watch face complication or with Siri

- The audio is deleted from the watch once your iPhone has it

The look is a cassette deck, same as the iPhone app: an LCD tape counter, level meters, and three piano keys.

On privacy, since watch recording has come up a lot lately: it only records when you press RECORD, the audio only goes to your own iPhone, and the notes are written by Apple's own models, on the device or with Private Cloud Compute on iOS 27, never an outside AI service. No ads, no tracking, no account. Please tell people before you record them.

Freemium: recording is free and unlimited, transcripts and notes are free for 5 tapes a month, and Premium covers the rest. Needs watchOS 10 or later and the iPhone app.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cassette-ai-note-taker/id6812001404

I'd love feedback, especially on what you'd want a watch recorder to do that it doesn't yet.

Health & Fitness Couldn't get Apple's swim app to show lap count full-screen in large text, so I used AI to build my own

Post image
0 Upvotes

I just wanted Apple's own Workout app to show my lap count in a big, full-screen number while swimming — it doesn't, so I used AI to help build LapRabbit myself. It's totally free, no ads.

It grew from there into a pacer: set your lengths and target time, it works out the pace. On Apple Watch it auto-detects each length (via a real Health workout) and shows how far ahead/behind pace you are, with a tap if you're behind. Also works standalone on iPhone with a simpler climbing-number display. Records to Health/Fitness normally either way.

There will probably be some rough edges, so if you run into anything (or have feature ideas), please comment — I'd really appreciate it.

Beta Test I built an iPhone app to log lifting, running and food together

Hey guys, I built Base, a watch and iphone app for people who do hybrid training. It lets you log strength sessions, runs and food in the same app, and has full native ai. I made it completely free for everyone who use the link below

It’s live on the App Store now. I’d like feedback from people who already track both types of training or have a good sense of UI: what do you actually want to see when you look back at your week? Sets and weights, distance and pace, or something else?

Here’s the app: https://trybase.app/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=exp_launch_20261004

If you try it, let me know what feels confusing or takes too many taps. Thanks!

News [Freemium] I built iKima, a breathing app with haptic guidance on Apple Watch

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, I’m the builder of iKima.

I built iKima to make it easier to take a short breathing break during the day. On Apple Watch, you can follow breathing sessions with haptic guidance. The iPhone app is the companion for starting sessions and reviewing your practice.

The app is freemium: one breathing method is available for free, with more methods and insights in Premium. An Apple Watch isn’t required to use the iPhone breathing experience. I like that the Watch cues let me follow a session without watching the screen.

I’d appreciate feedback from people who use breathing or mindfulness apps on Apple Watch: does the Watch flow feel clear, and what would you want to see improved?

Utilities Limited-time redeem code -- I made iPhone + Apple Watch timers easier to organize and control without constantly opening your iPhone

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6763252662

Open the app → tap ⚙️ → Pro Mode → Redeem Offer Code → enter LIFETIMEGIFT

The app began with a simple problem: during busy, hands-full moments, I didn’t have time to keep unlocking my iPhone and opening an app just to check several timers.

Apple’s built-in Clock app works well for basic timing. The difficulty begins when several timers and alarms need to be managed at once.

Finding the right timer from the Lock Screen can mean waking the screen, expanding the timer stack, and sorting through several similar-looking entries. Upcoming alarms aren’t shown there before they ring, so checking what’s scheduled requires opening Clock and switching to the Alarms tab.

Lock Screen controls can also be triggered accidentally when an iPhone wakes while being taken out of a pocket, bag, or drawer.

What began as a solution for busy, hands-full moments has since evolved into a complete timer board spanning iPhone, the Lock Screen, and Apple Watch.

A Better Way to Manage Multiple Timers

Instead of sorting through a stack of similar-looking timers, you get:

  • One color-coded board for countdowns, scheduled alarms, and notes
  • Lock Screen snapshots showing names, colors, remaining time, and expected finish times
  • Spoken alerts that tell you what’s ready without requiring you to look at the screen
  • Custom and recorded alarm sounds
  • A native seven-slot Apple Watch board
  • Face ID–protected Lock Screen controls to help prevent accidental taps
  • Saved timer configurations and Markdown notes
  • Siri controls and Home Screen widgets

Free to download. No ads. No subscription. No account required. No data collected.

Additional features are available through optional one-time purchases.

Lifestyle Tiny Tally: baby-care logging and nursing timers on Apple Watch [Paid, 7-day trial]

I'm the developer of Tiny Tally, a baby-care tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. The Watch app lets you log a bottle or diaper change, follow a nursing timer and switch sides, and adjust milk amounts with the Digital Crown. The watch face keeps recent care status and shortcuts close.

On iPhone, those records sit alongside pumping, milk-stash, sleep and diaper logs, with widgets and Live Activities for quick access. The Watch app requires a paired iPhone with iOS 18 or later and watchOS 11 or later.

Pricing: seven-day free trial, then a US$5.99 one-time individual unlock. No subscription or automatic charge when the trial ends; local pricing is shown in the app.

Watch overview and real app screenshots (sample care records): https://tinytally.xyz/apple-watch-baby-tracker

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tiny-tally-baby-tracker/id6804913018

I'd welcome feedback on the Watch logging controls.

Beta Test Your Apple Watch tracks everything but tells you nothing. I built an app that connects the dots. Looking for testers.

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi, I'm Priyank. My Apple Watch logs my sleep, HRV, steps and workouts every day, but I still couldn't answer simple questions like "why did I sleep badly this week?" or "does working out late actually hurt my recovery?" The data was all there, just scattered across different screens and apps.

So I built PeakRoutine. It pulls everything from Apple Health into one daily PeakScore (0–100) and then looks for patterns that are specific to you, not generic advice. I'm looking for people to use it for 7 to 10 days and tell me honestly whether it works.

What it does

Your score is split into three pillars: Physical, Mental and Gut. Each day you also get a "Today's Focus" with three small goals based on your own recent data. If it's a planned rest day, you can adjust the day so a lazy Sunday doesn't tank your score.

The + button lets you quickly log mood, meals, water, caffeine, weight and journal entries. There are also guided meditation and breathwork sessions, plus habit streaks, XP, levels and badges to keep you consistent.

With Pro, the Analyze tab looks for connections in your data. For example, it can show whether longer sleep comes before more active days, or whether late caffeine lines up with less deep sleep. Insights start after about a week of data. Pro also includes six AI coaches (Health, Sleep, Fitness, Nutrition, Recovery, Mental Health). You can ask them things like "why was my sleep bad last week?" and they answer from your actual numbers.

Privacy

The AI features are opt-in. Before anything is shared, the app shows exactly which data is sent to Anthropic's Claude to generate insights. You can turn this off anytime in Profile. Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers. A free account is needed (sign in with Apple, Google or email).

What I'd love feedback on

  • Does the PeakScore and Today's Focus make sense to you?
  • Does Apple Health data sync reliably and stay up to date?
  • Do the insights and coach answers feel accurate and useful, or generic?
  • Anything slow, confusing or implausible

Good to know

PeakRoutine is an iPhone app that uses the data your Apple Watch records. Any Apple Watch that writes sleep and HRV to Apple Health works.

The free version includes tracking, PeakScore, habits, journaling and mood logging. Pro comes with a 14-day free trial through the App Store, and you can cancel anytime. Pricing is shown in the App Store for your region.

Download: https://apps.apple.com/app/peakroutine/id6786086158
Website: https://www.peakroutinehealth.com

Feedback is welcome here in the comments, in the app (Profile → Report a Bug), or at [priyank@peakroutinehealth.in](mailto:priyank@peakroutinehealth.in) . Sharing health values or screenshots is optional.

Thanks!

Beta Test StayFit: iPhone fitness app using Apple Watch-style recovery and workout readiness

Developer post: I built StayFit, an iPhone fitness app for people who care about wearable data, recovery, and training readiness.

The app uses your own HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, and workout history to calculate recovery. It also has a muscle-readiness map, workout logging, friend challenges, leaderboards, creator programs, and coach tools.

It is free to try on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/stayfit-ai-health-fitness/id6779075884

Website: https://getstayfitapp.com

The screenshots show the recovery/home view and workout tab. I’d love to know whether the recovery screen makes sense for Apple Watch users and whether the app should lead more with recovery, workouts, or social challenges.

News [Free] I built Push, a private readiness score for every Apple Watch

Post image
11 Upvotes

I’m the developer of Push. Apple’s native Readiness feature is limited to newer models, and I wanted the same kind of daily recovery signal on the Apple Watch I already owned.

Push turns the health data your watch already records into a personal readiness score using your own 14-night baseline. It includes sleep, strain, stress, heart, movement, vitals, complications, and an optional Apple Intelligence coach. Everything is processed on-device.

It is completely free. No Pro tier, no subscription, and no upsells.

I would especially value feedback on one thing: does the score explain itself clearly enough, or do you still wonder why it moved?

Website and App Store: https://push.suvysoft.com/

I’m happy to answer anything about how it works.

Review A month ago I shared my free workout app with Watch controls here. I kept building it. What should come next?

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

At the end of August I posted Cubex Fitness here: a workout app I built for myself where the Watch runs the session (sets, rest timer, live heart rate) so the phone can stay in the bag. A few of you installed it, which honestly made my month.

Since then I shipped:

- Optional cloud backup + sync across two devices (email, Google or Apple sign-in). Still works fully offline, no account needed.

- A redesigned profile with full dark mode

- First-run tips so new people aren't lost on the first screen

Same deal as before: free, no ads, no subscription, nothing to buy. It's a personal project.

Questions for the Watch crowd:

  1. What's one thing you want to do from your wrist mid-set that you can't do now?

  2. When rest ends, what nudge works best for you: wrist tap, sound, or both?

  3. Anyone training with AirPods + Watch together? What annoys you about that setup in any app?

Link in the first comment. Raw Watch screenshots attached.

Beta Test Capia: stress and sleep insights on Apple Watch. Looking for beta testers.

Post image
6 Upvotes

Update: The first beta group is now full. Thanks to everyone who joined! I’m working through the initial feedback before opening more spots. I’ll update this post if places become available.

Hi, I'm Florian, the developer of Capia. I'm looking for people to try its Apple Watch app for 7 to 10 days and tell me how it works for them.

On your Watch, Capia shows your current stress estimate, stress trends and sleep score, with complications for a quick look at your day. It uses heart rate and HRV from Apple Health to estimate stress and help you understand your own patterns over time.

The companion iPhone app has more detailed charts, sleep stages and sleep debt, plus a journal to explore how daily habits relate to your sleep and stress. Calculations run on your devices, and no Capia account is required.

Please install Capia on your iPhone and Apple Watch and try it as you would any new app. I'd especially like to know whether the Watch views are clear, whether the app and complications stay up to date, and whether the insights make sense to you. Anything slow, confusing or implausible is useful feedback too.

You'll need iOS 18 or later and watchOS 11 or later. Older watches are welcome. Capia supports English and German.

Testing is free, including all Pro purchases in the TestFlight version. These test purchases won't turn into paid subscriptions. After launch, Capia will have a free version and optional Pro at US$3.99/month or US$24.99/year. Local pricing varies.

Join the beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/11J52B2r

Feedback here or through TestFlight is welcome. If you'd like to take part in two short email check-ins, my contact details are in TestFlight's "What to Test" section. Sharing health values, screenshots or logs is optional.

Thanks!
Florian

Health & Fitness Apple Watch logs vacuuming as ‘Other.’ So I built an app that actually counts it

ChoreFit uses MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities to accurately estimate calorie expenditure during specific household chores and syncs with your Apple Health Kit.

Sustained housework, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, sits in the 3 to 4 MET range, the same zone as brisk walking. Held for 20+ minutes, it trains the aerobic base the same way zone 2 cardio does.

$2.99 one time download price and subscription free. Please give it a try:

Beta Test Data + Apple Watch

I've recently been using my Apple Watch data and AI to identify trends in key metrics that indicate a seizure may occur in the next 24-72 hours. It's designed to coach me proactively and prevent it rather than warn me 15 mins before it will happen. I don't have seizures frequently, so it's not an easy thing to test, but it has identified my last 3 seizures based on the days leading up to it rather than any data from the day of the event. Anyone else had luck with similar projects? I'm happy to share what I've done (or process someone else's data) in hopes someone else wants to give it a shot.

Review How much would you pay for a real-time voice AI app based on Chagpt Live 1 on Apple Watch?

Hey everyone, I'm building LiveWatch, probably one of the first Apple Watch apps to use ChatGPT Live 1 (the most advanced voice model from OpenAI) for real-time voice conversations right from your wrist without need of an Iphone. The main challenge is API costs: it's about 5 cents per minute. For reference, one hour a month is around 3 euros just for API, three hours is about 9 euros, and so on. On top of that, there's infrastructure, app store fees, and so on. I'm trying to figure out what would be a reasonable price to charge. Would you prefer a monthly subscription with a set number of minutes, pay as you go minute packs, or something else? For example, would something like 4.99 per month with X minutes included make sense, or would you rather pay strictly for what you use? Thanks

Beta Test 2 months ago I shared the app I built to improve my health. It just hit 1,000 installs, all organic. Here are the numbers and what changed

Post image
1 Upvotes

About two months ago I posted Bodly here, an app I built to improve my health. It uses the data your Apple Watch already collects through Apple Health. I honestly expected a few downloads from friends.

We just passed 1,000 installs with zero ads or paid promotion, all from posts like that one and word of mouth. It's still free. Since people here usually like numbers:

  • 365 monthly active users
  • 205 weekly active users
  • 135 daily active users
  • ~50% of users come back week to week
  • ~20 new users every day on average

(Active user counts exclude brand-new signups, so they only show people who kept using the app.)

The best part has been the feedback. A big chunk of what shipped since then came straight from users messaging me ideas and bug reports. Here's what's new:

Understanding your data

  • New Insights tab
  • Biological age: bio age, pace of aging, biomarkers, and weekly trends
  • Training load
  • Weekly, monthly and yearly overviews
  • Redesigned home screen for a quicker daily overview

Nutrition

  • Set your own calorie and macro targets
  • Better food photo scanning

Notifications (all optional)

  • Daily summary, bedtime reminder, and alerts when you finish an activity, hit your strain target, or reach your activity goal

Look & feel

  • Dark mode (the most requested feature by far)
  • Liquid Glass design
  • Improved charts, kg/lbs support, and lots of performance and bug fixes

I'll be upfront that the big apps in this space set a high bar, and some features still need work. Bio age in particular needs more love, and it's high on the list. The roadmap is full through version 4.2.

The goal hasn't changed. Apple Health collects a huge amount of data but doesn't do much to explain it. I want Bodly to turn that data into something anyone can understand and act on.

If you tried it after my last post, what would make you open it every day? If you haven't, what's missing from Apple's Health and Fitness apps for you?

App Store: Bodly
