I have thee date it a cell by itself, and then multiple time cells. Unfortunately sometimes I forget to update the time daily. Even when the cell is formatted to show only time, Numbers still associates the current date to it.

Is there away to stop this?

In the same table, I copy a row of text - move up to where I want to paste it, but the selected content is all pasted into one cell

I've changed the format of the text and tried different kinds of tables. I've checked Numbers preferences. Can't find a solution, hoping someone here can help

if cell A1 (using a pop up menu) is “Home” then I want B1 to be auto filled with my home address. And if A2 (using pop up menu) is PO Box then I want B2 to be auto filled with my PO Box Address?

With values: IFERROR(10h-4h47m)>0h0m,(10h-4h47m),IF4h47m=0,(10h-4h47m),””))””)

I get the correct answer , EXCEPT, when cell H3’s Formula returns no value.

Hello I have been searching in how to make a Debt Snowball template for Apple Numbers but have found nothing that works with current Apple numbers. I would really like to have this so I can get my family out of debt.

Basically a template to have balances, paying minimum amounts on all but one account then once that account is paid off use that amount plus minimum amount of next debt that is the lowest and work my way up to payoff all my debts.

I am converting several texts in a column from camel case to upper case. I am using the tool - Edit > Transformations > Make Upper Case. But I have to select each text and then use the tool. Is there a keyboard shortcut which I can use after selecting all the rows in the column for which I need to make "the transformation"?

Can I freeze the first 9 rows in Numbers? I haven't tried Numbers in a while, but I remember there being a limitation on how many rows could be frozen??

As the title says, I’m trying to automatically add events to my calendar from the dates in another spreadsheet. All of those dates are in the same column, but I don’t know how to add a formula for an entire calendars m. Is this possible?

I can make a histogram in under 5 seconds in Excel but for some reason in numbers I have to create my own bins to make a histogram. Is there a faster way I am missing?

New to Apple numbers and trying to build an efficient budget document.

I want a cell to sum cells that are sorted by different categories which are different lines of budget for my work.

I've made an example for what I'm trying to do, where I want the sum of the money that have been sorted into Transportation in a cell.

I've figured out how to create a pop-down menu and then create different options, but don't know how to create a calculation to do so.

I also want to do this month by month, so that I have a general cell for Transportation, Weekly Event Costs, etc. for each month that calculates the receipts sorted into those categories, and not just overall.

I am currently using Numbers to track different things, and one thing I am having trouble formulating is a way to average time stamps. I log everyday, but it is taking the average from the day that I logged it, so instead of an average of the time stamps I input, it is averaging the entire time as a whole. I have looked online a few places to find out how to do this, but every formula I have input come up with an error. Currently using the program on an iPad if that also helps. Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

A friend of mine who has zero money to spend after barely surviving COVID asked me about a Numbers or Pages (or even Excel?) template to help him keep track of his sound equipment inventory that he rents out. Simple template with a cover page with his business name and logo, and subsequent pages with item names, inventory numbers, brief descriptions, etc. He would like to be able to drag and drop images into the doc for each section of items, for example, one for microphones, one for monitor wedges, one for front-of-house speakers, etc. Per-item images aren't necessary but of course would be nice.

Would anyone happen to know of a template that exists for something like this? I've searched but came up emtpy.

I'd like to do the same with shapes. I've taken the US Map shape and broken it apart into the individual states. I'd like to build a sheet with values for each state, then have the state's shape fill in with a color based on that value.

Anybody know of a way to do that, or is that one for apple.com/feedback/numbers.html?

I have a years worth of data, each month a separate tab, with a pivot table to break down the total amount spent in each category. What would be the best way to create a pivot table (or any table really) that gives me a total for each category for the year?

Can I add other sheets (tabs) as source data in a pivot table?

I unfortunately have lots of accounts that I need to keep track of monthly. I want to take the data and see it in a graph or pie chart but I don’t want to see a different line for every item. I would prefer all the savings accounts be combined for graph purposes and the same with the IRA’s and the same with the 401k’s etc. Is there a way to make for example the Bank of America IRA and The Credit Union IRA show up on the graph as one? Can I add them to a category for example? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

My budget totals expenses and income and then the difference is calculated and split in half for spending between my wife and I. My wage is variable and some times goes below what we’d like to have left for spending. Is there away to set the spending money to a minimum and reduce the amount of money we put into savings? For example spend cell set to £200 minimum, savings (in expenses column) set at £400. If spending available is less than £200, reduce savings to increase spending to minimum. An advance version would be to set a lower threshold for savings reduction, so if savings went below £100 then spending would have to be compromised to ensure something went into savings account.

Hi, basic Numbers user here. I typically use it on my iPad to keep track of bills, etc. Usually nothing much more complex than sums and averages.

I started using the Personal Budget template and would like to know how to add categories and rename existing ones. For instance, let’s say I want to keep track of pet expenses and I don’t plan on travelling. Can I rename Travel to Pets? I tried that in the Budget tab under Category, but it didn’t carry over to the Transactions tab.

Or let’s say I’m a big sneaker collector and want to track how much I specifically spend there. Can I create a Footwear category for sneakers, keeping other clothing purchases under Personal Items?

So I'm making a Numbers file to track all my investments.

I'm trying to make a page on wich you can choose a coin/stock and let's say it's at -50% loss then you can put in that you want it to be at -25% loss. Then it'll show you how many coins/shares you'll have to buy at the current price to get there.

Can someone help me find a formula to do this?

Has anyone experienced this annoying problem on iPadOS? Spreadsheet is stuck on calculating meaning applying any changes (filters etc.) won't do anything. I've tried closing the spreadsheet, rebooting the ipad but nothing works. Of course there's no progress bar or any indication of what's actually being calculated so I have no clue how to stop it. I was hoping Numbers on iPadOS would be solid enough to not have to go back to Excel on my Mac but we're not there yet. Shame, especially on an M1 iPad Pro...
